Nice hotel really friendly staff !, good view from the room over looking the sea only down side to the room was the noise from the strip , food was good a massive choice from the buffet. Also entitanment on an evening was brill !!. Down side the gym was rubbish need more equipment !!
Good food location OK some noise at night as next to veronicas so make sure you get a quieter room if you can't sleep due to noise outside. Rooms very clean hotel spotless and friendly staff. Didn't have a mini disco and sure it was advertised....other than tht pools great would stay again
It was a lovely clean hotel . Very close to the strip and everything was in waking distance. Very close to the beach! Loved this hotel. The only thing was the noise levels at night due to the bars nearby. But apart from thay excellent
On arrival at hotel, stood waiting at reception while the staff on duty ignored me. Finally someone came to check me in, however my husband was parking the car, so I was told he would have to register when he arrived. Husband arrived so I approached the desk again to check him in, again ignored for a period of time before a lady with long dark hair asked what did I want and I advised my husband needed to register, she then proceeded to tell me in an extremely rude manner I would have to wait for the lady who originally checked me in. The actual rooms are basic and clean but take ear plugs as it appears every room in the hotel is very noisy until the early hours. Please can I request that the reception staff have a serious customer training course? As a regular traveller to Tenerife we can safely say we won't be staying at the sol again.
Would not recommend this hotel to anybody, and I think they rating they have at the moment is completely wrong. When we stayed here the hotel staff gave us none to little information, the rooms were outdated and were never cleaned well. Staff weren't great, same with the facility's. It is in a very busy night life area, so I wouldn't recommend a family staying there. Very expensive for drinks, and the food was horrible. Same stuff served everyday, me and my boyfriend had to eat out, even though we payed for half board. Not allowed to bring your own drinks into the restaurant, which is stupid for people who can't afford to pay €3 for a small glass of soft drink. Had an absolute horrible time at this hotel, and would never go back there!
Very pleased with our choice of hotel. Reception were very efficient and helpful. The cleanliness of hotel and pool area was good. There was plenty of choice at all meal times even drinks on the all inclusive package. The hairdryer in the room stopped working and a new one was fitted by the maintance team within 20 minutes. There was a lack of sockets in the room but reception had extension leads to lend for our stay. We were worried about what to expect after ready reviews but didn't need too. Great holiday!!!!
So, i have been home from my Tenerife for 8 days now. I went with my girlfriend and it was our first holiday together. I have seripus Holiday blues :( amazing place..playa de las anericas was awesome. From siam water park to the lovely walks along the beach and great cocktail bars, the place was magic. Anyway on to the hotel i have came here to say how awesome it was. Honestly cannot fault it. 1. Food was good. Nice selection, would be hard not to find things you like. Breakfast especially was great. 2. Rooms were cleaned everyday and were nice and clean. 3. The staff at reception always very friendly and helpful, aswell as the poolside bar stuff..very pleasent and fun. 4. The location is absolutely perfect. There is a gate behind the pool that takes you straight to the beach..bars..and strip. 5. The entertainment during the day was brilliant. Water polo..water vollyball..water aerobics...music..everything. In conclusion, if you are planning on going to tenerife go to this hotel. 9/10 overall. If i go back to Teneeife i will be going here again. Attatched is our viee from the balcony.
We came from Gran Canaria to visit Siam Parque and needed a place stay for 2 nights. The choice fell on hotel Sol Tenerife... When we came up to our room it looked ok, a bit crouded for three people, but ok... But the beds were rock hard, the cleanliness was bad, my daughter found a bloody towel on the bathroom, we also found cockroaches! We went downstaires to let them know and the lady just told us that cockroaches are like mosquitoes in the Karibien!! 😡 We have stayed at several hotels and this is not the usual and especially not on the 10th floor! The towels would just be changed, no apologies! It was just so embarrassing! The shower just offered a few drops, so we also complained about that... Nothing was done that day! The next day it was better, not good but better... We took what we could get at this point... 😩 The night was filled with bad and loud "music" from the hotel and the next door bar! Next morning... Breakfast... It was just a really sad story, the bacon was boiled I think? The baguettes was good though, and the restaurant staff was very cute and polite, so that was a good thing. Left for the park (another review) and had a great day! On Wednesday we were to check out from the hotel at 12 o'clock, but the cleaning lady knocked 3 times in the morning? She is supposed to come and "clean" when we check out! All in all it was a terrible stay, I will never come back, and I will advise people to choose another hotel! All the kids and the adults were so displeased, and unhappy with the stay! It was the worst stay! We were 8 people and we were all shocked by the "service", the hotel, the staff, the noise, the food, everything actually! We are staying in my father's apartment in Gran Canary in the basement, no cockroaches! 10th floor in this hotel there was cockroaches! Embarrassing!
We have just returned from our 10 night stay here and i must say what a brilliant hoilday we have had.The reception staff welcomed us with a free glass of champagne and explained everyday in great detail. We had a lovely room in block A 11th floor, it was cleaned daily and fresh towels were left for us, we were given a complimentary bottle of champagne too which was a lovely gesture. Yes the hotel is near the strip and yes there is music played til the early hours but it can hardly be heard when the patio door is closed, this didnt affect my sleep at all and im a light sleeper. The hotel is in a perfect place for the beach its literally a 2min walk to the sea. Food in the restaurant was lovely theres a big selection of food ranging from salads, cold meats to hot meat dishes, meat and fish is cooked in front of you by the chefs. Staff were very polite to us. Theres no need to rush for sunbeds as theres plenty to go round, theres activities happening all day long round the pool, best day was Friday which is Pool Party Day, theres a foam machine been sprayed into the pool, a live dj and loads of inflatables and beach balls supplied by the hotel. The staff do an excellent job of keeping people entertained. Staff at the pool bar were always happy and by our 3rd night we didnt even have to queue at the bar as the waiters would come to us and ask if we would like drinks then brought to our table for us. We will definatly be returning to this hotel 100% just glad i didnt take any notice of the bad reviews as we couldnt find any faults. Thank you for a lovely holiday
The noise from the strip was extremely loud until at least 5am, I didn't realise how bad it would be until we arrived! It was like a band playing on the balcony. The breakfast was cold. The room was really outdated and in need of a refurb. Me and my partner had single beds! The wifi didn't work at all. We couldn't use the sun loungers by the pool as it was too busy so we couldn't sit by the pool throughout the holiday. There was 1 plug socket in the room which was in the bathroom! The other one was used for the TV which was ancient. A few good points: the location is close by to Safari, los Cristianos and Adeje, loads of lovely restaurants nearby and shopping centres. The cleaners were really good and kept the room cleaned when requested. The staff were helpful and friendly. We still had an amazing holiday despite the bad points, it probably just wasn't for us as we like a good nights sleep and it would've been nice to sunbathe by the pool and see the hotel entertainment & use the wifi etc. We ended up going out to the beach every day and we only really used the hotel to sleep and change!
