The location of this hotel is great with a light airy large reception area however the room we stayed in on the second floor was in need of an update. The bathroom although large was held a rather grubby bath with dirty stains ingrained in the enamel. The balcony was pleasant overlooking the pool and there was a fridge in the room however you had to pay a daily rate to use it ! There are also no tea or coffee making facilities. On a plus side the staff were friendly and there is direct access to The Beach but this isn't a hotel I would return to !

Just back from our stay at the mediterranean palace. Hotel is in a great location with direct access to the beach front via a locked gate. Plenty of sunbeds round the lovely pool but very crowded. We were disappointed with the rooms as they are in need of a refurbishment but the maids came every day and kept the rooms clean. Safes in the room and beach towels are free. Nice friendly staff with a waiter round the pool on roller blades! Plenty of activities for all ages round the pool during a day. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby to try!

Currently staying here. Been here before - usually stay in the Cleopatra but this time it was fully booked so back in Mediterranean Palace for this visit. The staff here are great and are the reason we come back. It can be noisy with event music in the pool but not as noisy as it used to be which is much appreciated. We don't go for the entertainment, we just like to get on the beach and have a quiet time - it can be a bit 'Benidorm' if you get my drift, but if you stay here when Brits aren't very prevalent its avoidable. A shout to the cleaners - often unsung heroes of any hotel business. Efficient, always smiling and never intrusive. Very good. Only thing for us - and not the Hotels fault obviously - is the weather. 4th visit this year, and the 4th time its been mostly cloudy and rather chilly - Xmas, Easter, Summer and now in November. As always the first 2 or 3 days are gorgeous and then its back to normal - big dark clouds arrive at 1pm and sit in front of the sun. Every day. :(

We've just returned from a week B&B in this fab hotel. The location is perfect and everything about this hotel is good. There are shady areas as well as full sun areas, to suit everyone. The only meal we had was breakfast, There was lots and lots of choice all well stocked and displayed, The beach area is a short walk. Excellent WiFi through out and shared complex with the Cleopatra Hotel next door.

PLEASE READ!!!! Booked a room at the hotel for one week. Check in was stress free and we were greeted with a glass of bubbly. We were given the key card to our room which we were told was a "standard view" our balcony was upon a children's play area! We paid almost 1000 euros for our room which was breakfast only. We went back to reception to complain and we were offered an upgrade at an additional €1400 or stay in the room for three days and then we could change rooms. We demanded a full refund of our money and we booked into the Tigotan which is far superior. We will definately never return to the Mare Nostrum resort!! Thank you for ruining the first day of our holiday!!

Upon arrival do not be put off by the main view of the hotel because inside is a totally different vision as the interior reception is bathed in marble with water fountains and the staff are very welcoming and hospitable.Make sure that you reserve a room with a sea or poolside view as the rooms overlooking the main road (strip)do not get the benefit of the sun in November and the road and nearby bars and restaurants can be noisy.During the day there are numerous physical activities and pool exercise classes.Dont expect peace and tranquility, the Cleopatra or the Sir Anthony in the same complex would prove better accommodation for that. The pool area can be overpopulated and noisy but again the Cleopatra’s facilities are available should you require a more serene atmosphere.Breakfast is a bit of a feeding frenzy but there is a great varied choice for both healthy and hungry eaters. All in all good value for money at this time of the year (November)

Excellent staff, good location on promenade; good standard interior; breakfast plentiful hot & cold buffet, value for money. Only downside - the outside is painted in blue and does stick out like a sore thumb, pity because it could be a v. nice place. (but that is my own opinion)

This was sold to me as a 5star hotel,in my opinion its closer to a 3star hotel.Check in took far to long. The room was tired and in need of a make over.On the plus side, found the staff to be very nice and helpfull. The cleaning staff stand out for me,so helpfull, pleasant and polite.Breakfast was ok,good choice and plenty of it.If your going to stay at this hotel, get a room with a pool view,we were looking on to the strip, live music till after midnight.Cant sleep till its finished.Over all it was not to bad a hotel, would i go back?yes,it was in a great location, was a friendly hotel but never a 5star.So if price was right i would go back

Had a wonderful seven day break at the Mediterranean Palace. Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Can recommend a room with a pool view. No tea making facilities in room but these can be arranged. Free use of safe and fridge. Excellent choice for breakfast. Hire bikes available. Ample sun loungers. I would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Am a regular visitor to Tenerife, 3/4 times every year. It’s horses for courses for me and my accommodation depends on the company I attend with, whether family, friends or girl friend. Have been to the Med Palace on three or four occasions in the last five years. Positives first. Very quick and excellent check in. Glass of fizz and good friendly welcome. It’s all about location and this hotel in my opinion is in the best position imaginable for what I want to do on the island. The Med Palace is one of the few remaining hotels in the area that still offers bed and breakfast and does not offer the dreaded all inclusive. Both me and my girl friend prefer to put our money back into the local economy and dine out in the numerous quality restaurants close to the hotel. We had a pool view on the second floor and the room was as I was used to but will return to that. Pool area was as good as ever. Loads of beds available and the pool and surrounding area was clean. Entertainment around the pool not for us but excellent for those wishing to take advantage. Breakfast was what you would expect and difficult to fault. Staff were all very attentive. Didn’t spend much time in the bar but prices reasonable. Likewise, didn’t visit the entertainment but seemed of a good standard. Now to the negatives. I have stayed in many hotels in the area and without including the select, very up market hotels in Adeje have always considered the Med Palace to be the best, but to be honest it’s falling behind. Many of the others locally have had, or are undergoing major refurbishment and I’m afraid this is badly needed. The rooms are badly in need of decorating at the very least. The dining room is bordering on dirty in the walls and floors. The communal areas apart it is becoming to look tawdry and tired. I do so hope that this is rectified in the near future but equally hope when this happens Mare Nostrum Resort does not sacrifice it’s all inclusive principles. All in all though as my title says, still a top hotel!
