Worst hotel we have stayed in and we have been to lots off 4 star hotels. Furniture grubby and black, patio door no lock just a big hole and screws sticking out and they have put a screw in the middle to hold it together. Bathroom from the sixties shower curtain, toilet behind door no lock on door, hair dryer from the sixties. Bed covers only a sheet and thin cotton cover no heating cold at night so had to get a Brown blanket from the wardrobe which took me back to the days we had to use army blankets on the bed, and this is supposed to be a 5 star hotel. The outside furniture was broken and torn and the Sun beds were dirty the tiles were broken and scruffy. Food in restaurant was Luke warm so was the water for tea also the teapots might as well have been chocolate for what use they were lids broken and water went everywhere. The 2 ratings given was for the staff and the location or it would have been nil, all the bad things people have said are true and I have the photos to prove it. It wants bringing back into the 21st century sooner than later and ours was a upgrade room so don't know what a standard room will be like.

We had a good week at end of January and early February. We don’t normally stay in big hotels but were pleasantly surprised with this hotel, where staff were helpful and friendly. We only stayed bed and breakfast as we like to eat out at nights and there are plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk, especially towards Los Cristianos. There was no trouble getting a sun-bed around the pool and bedroom was kept clean every day. A couple more power points in the room would have helped and it was quite cool in the room in the evenings but these are minor points.

Booked here for a long weekend four night stay and thought let’s have something nice. Paid extra for a sea view room, naively expecting a sunny balcony especially after emailing in advance and from the photos displayed on the website. Disappointing our room on the 5th floor whilst having a sea view sat under a jutting our balcony above allowing 2hours of sun a day! Reception alleging hotel was full and we could move after 2 days, but only there for four so no point. To be fair we did arrive at 11.30am and our room was made available for us and also a double bed that was appreciated. Whilst the reception is opulent the Rooms are extremely in need of renovation. Also only shampoo and shower gel provided - I expect more from a 5* hotel. Beats me how the hotel maintains its rating. Entertainment is set for the over 70 age bracket, and mid-advertised at that. We had great fun one night watching people turn up for a Queen tribute to find a crooner. (We did the same!). At least they could put the right poster up. Good things? Wi-fi free and decent quality throughout. Breakfast included with frixenet every day, show cooking but fried eggs cooked so far in advance they got cold. Lots of options albeit no decent fresh orange juice. Location is fabulous, and for this reason we would consider returning. I have rated low due the expectation and cost of a 5* rated hotel.

I previously stayed in this hotel about 6 years ago and thought the rooms were tired and in need of some tic. I decided to visit again last week (end jan 2018) as it was reasonably priced compared with similar hotels (wonder why). Yes the rooms are still in need of an upgrade and the cleaning could be of a hire standard. I've stayed in the Adeje Gran, Tacande and Villa Cortes in recent years and all pay more attention to the cleanliness of the rooms and public areas. The renovation work is ongoing and the reason I know this is that the builders started to rip out the bathroom of the adjoining room with power tools one morning. I mentioned this to reception and they checked their plan and asked if I'd like another room (great forward planning) I did move due to the noise but it is a hassle to move rooms during a short holiday. We only ate breakfast in the hotel and the choice is as expected from a large hotel, the quality isn't to the standard of the previously mentioned hotels. You cannot get a hot tea or coffee from the machines or the hot water boiler. I mentioned this to the "customer service" lady that kept annoying people to ask how everything was, her reply, "its very busy and the boiler can't keep pace". I found a microwave and managed to heat my coffee, more and more people followed suit during the week so they'll need to get another microwave. Positives, free wifi gym (extra charge), location. The management of the hotel has clearly been focusing on pushing efficiency in all areas and they'd better realise soon that the balance with quality has been stretched too far.

What a fantastic hotel could not fault it,yehhh the rooms need upgrading but our room was clean and maids cleaned it everyday clean towels everyday aswell, they catered for everyone in food never seen so much choice for breakfast and evening meals, all the staff from checking in to checking out were polite and friendly and made you feel welcome,I would highly recommend this hotel and shall be booking again

Staying at hotel at moment. Everything apart from the rooms is first class. Rooms definitely in need of an upgrade as not as good as other rooms in other hotels we have stayed in. Bathrooms very shabby too. Location is excellent.

Firstly I would like some explanation on how this is a 5 star hotel, we have stayed in Tenerife at this time of year for the last 6 years and stayed in various 4 star hotels which leave this standing. The hotel it self was fine downstairs and round the pool, the staff you could not fault and with that I can understand you say it’s a 5 star but as soon as I opened the door to my suite with large balcony and plunge pool I went back in time, the balcony was fine but the room was dirty old and worn out and I could not believe the state of it, it’s absolutely disgusting that you let customers think they are coming to a 5 star place and let them sleep in a room from the 80’s that is nothing but a dirty cesspit, with tape on electric wires to the TV, dirty skirting, worn out Furniture and fittings , we paid top price to stay in a 5 star and had to stay in this room, we spent extra this year to stay in a 5 star and hot this, so a warning to people who think they are getting a 5 star, you are until you go into your 2 star room..... Luckily we did not let this spoil our time in this beautiful area of Tenerife, very disappointed customer who feels ripped off. BEWARE ! Pictures enclosed on bed, dirt, and gritty fittings.

we stayed for 1 week with a family of 3. The location of the hotel is excellent close by the shops restaurants and right on the beach. We had breakfast included with a great choice and even champagne offered.

We stayed for 3 nights and only arrived home on 28th January 2018. We have visited tenerife for years and this hotel came up at a good price for our stay in January. The hotel it’s self looks grand, look a little closer and you will see it needs modernising and updated as everything is just that little bit tired. Our room was on the 2nd floor which is practically street level, so you cannot enjoy the balcony as everyone who walks by can see you clearly and everyone stares in, we had a room on the busy street side. The room had only one plug socket and it was not at either side of the bed either, it was in front of the bed in the far wall, underneath, this was extremely inconvenient for us as we had lots of devices to charge, I would expect two sockets as a bare minimum. The bed was uncomfortable and felt like one of the £99 Argos beds we had slept on when we were children! Not the comfortable bed you would expect from the mare nostrum resort. Also the room smelled like an old caravan, despite being clean I feel the room is now tired and is desperate need of a refreshment/update. The maid was very pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us and check in was also pleasant, with complimentary cava drink on arrival which was a nice touch. To summarise, the service and location were excellent but it really feels old inside and needs modernising.

We went for 2 weeks on B.B which you cannot fault I always put my baked beans in the microwave as I like them hot. Found a new type of bread I loved & not sold here. Beds were hard for me but ok for the hubby so I requested a topper which arrived that day. We went to the Sir Anthony next door for a VIP cocktail party & shown around the rooms which impressed us (maybe treat ourselves soon) The rooms are clean but as everyone comments are dated but we weren’t in it that long. Guest relations & reception staff were very helpful always a smile & a wave as I passed on my mobility scooter (which I hire from Active mobility) we used the spa centre next door on a cloudy day & enjoyed 2 massages & a facial which my hubby has never experienced before followed by a bottle of bubbly. Will we go again: definitely yes in September this year.
