Would be better if the hotel kept running shouting children out of the adult only jacuzzi area. Thuggish parents seemed to ignore pool staff request and were then left to stay there. Apart from the reduction in this anenity I suspect the hotels insurance doesn’t cover liability for children in the unsupervised jacuzzi.
This is an excellent 4* hotel - it could never be anything else because of its position. From the beach it is quite a walk up 2 hills but having said that, if you are happy to stay in the hotel around the pool, there is everything you could possibly want. Our room was on the small side but it had all you need. Toiletries replaced daily including face wipes! Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food was first class - ok it gets repetitive after 10 days but so it does anywhere. You don’t get caviar everywhere - but you do here ! Superb whole salmon, smoked salmon, prawns etc etc. Everything was inclusive - Gordon’s gin, named vodka - calypso coffees etc. The entertainment team were fantastic- everyone from cleaners to managers so polite and friendly. Would certainly go there again!
Excellent hotel good food great staff clean hotel rooms heated pool Evening entertainment was good in both downstairs and upstairs bars We stayed on the 9th floor looking over the street we could have got a room over the pool but decided the extra cost wasn't worth it Quite a few bars around the hotel within a five min walk I would recommend this hotel to anyone well worth its 4 stars
Had a weeks stay at the end of March. Friendly and efficient check in and drop off with cases at bottom of the road was no problem as we knew what to expect from the reviews on here. Room super clean and yes probably due for a refurb. We took our own kettle and a double adapter and what a goid job we did as only one socket in room and one in bathroom. This is why I have dropped the overall rating down as we struggled to charge phones etc. Adult pool area lovely and peaceful however kids running up and down it on our last couple of days when school holidays had started. Maybe needs better adult only signage and parents to monitoring where there offspring are! Food was ok with tasty pizzas to have if struggling with the evening themed choices. Would have liked the option to eat outside from the restaurant not just when using the snack bar. Didn't go to the entertainment as we went out most evenings by bus into PDLA quick and €2.90 for both of us and a taxi back no more than €8. We have stayed in a few AI hotels around the area and this is the first one we said we would return to as it is definitely one of the better ones. Staff are a credit to the hotel as so friendly and work hard with a smile on their faces.
Just been to this hotel for a short break with family. Amazing staff who can’t do enough for you. They are always friendly and helpful. Room good size for us and clean. Did get a bit noisy as we were over the area where they can play ping pong etc but that was only on our last two days when kids had broken up for Easter holidays and it started to get incredibly busy. Entertainment for both kids and adults very good. Loved the gymnastic show! The food was excellent for all inclusive and wide choice. Has an adults area which I loved for a bit of piece and quiet as well as the jacuzzi and beds in water. You can walk to Siam park and Siam mall (small shopping area) from the hotel, as well as down to a small beach, shops and cafes, however some short inclines but we managed easy with a buggy. I can’t say enough of how lovely the staff are in the hotel.
We had stayed here many years ago & had a look around last year so decided to book for Feb for our 45th wedding anniversary & hubbys birthday. Check in was quick & a nice glass of fizz. Requested a room on 3rd floor level with reception was delighted with the room large balcony with sun beds & sun all day! Perfect. Food in the restaurant was excellent so much choice well presented & hot. All the staff are brilliant & are a credit to the hotel even the managers where very approachable & always said hello! The bar staff are fab even though it can be very busy at times. It had a nice mix of people when we where there not many children but was told in school holidays lots of children . Thank you once again to all the staff for a wonderful holiday.& the special bottle of wine for our celebrations.
10 out of 10 for the staff, food, cleanliness and service. This hotel is really fantastic, unfortunately it is not adults only and therefore unruly kids are allowed to run riot by their parents. How the staff manage to put up with his God only knows. At the pool, the kids made swimming impossible as they bomb dived, splashing around and disrupted bathing. On the room levels the kids were allowed to run around shouting and screaming so a late lye in or early night was a no no.
great food, great drinks, and the best barman In Tenerife [SID].from arriving till leaving everyone cant do enough for you.will definitely be back. thank you again.brilliant gym too ,large shopping centre across the road .
We came back from the Iberostar on the 22nd of March after 10 days. The hotel staff are amongst the most friendly and accommodating people we have had the pleasure to meet, nothing is too much for them and they go out of there way to do all they can for you. Sid in the lounge bar is an absolute sweetheart. We had bottles of Cava and fruit put in our room along with sweets and bubbles a really thoughtful touch. All the restaurant and bar staff are fantastic as is the reception stall cava on arrival to welcome you. The rooms are fine cleaned daily fresh sheets and towels everyday and water put in your fridge when requested to the hard working maids. The food is plentiful with theme nights and the whole hotel is spotless. The entertainment is pretty good and the animation team go all out. It's about a twenty minute walk to the strip but there's lots of places round about to visit and a shopping mall across the road from the hotel where you can get anything you need. If you want to stay in your hotel there's stalls daily that more or less cover all the usual Nicknacks you buy to take home. This hotel really does stick to the 9 o,clock rule were towels on sunless are concerned, although it's hilarious watching tourists running through the barriers as soon as its opened, it's like a mass exodus. Why ? there's hundreds of sunbeds. Again a big thank you to all the staff at the Iberostar and hope to see you guys again soon. Anne and Marty x
We stayed here over New Year 2017, myself, wife and two kids (15,14). We travelled with Jet2 who were very good at check in and at the airport, not so good after that, there was no repo on our coach to the hotel or back from the hotel, the lady rep at the hotel wasn't the best either, this didn't make the holiday bad though but if your not a confident traveller this may cause a few issues. The hotel when we got there was lovely in the foyer, the check in procedure was really quick and easy, we got the keys to our room and went on our way, the room however wasn't very good, just very dated and a bit smelly, we had a joining room for the kids which was ok, my wife went to mention this to reception and was joined by another family saying the same thing, however the reception staff (Maria) were excellent, she gave us three choices of other rooms (2 very similar to the first) and the third which was 2 separate rooms a few doors apart, my kids were fine with this so we moved rooms, the second rooms we had were fine, spacious, clean and a good bathroom, what more do you need from a room, looked like they had been done up unlike the first room. Parts of the hotel are a little worn and could do with an update. other parts look like they have been renovated already and are good, so down to the main bits. Food - Excellent, lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner, the staff were really friendly and the themed nights were great, didn't take long to clear tables and there was always something to eat (even for fussy teenagers!) yes it was a little repetitive at times but what do you expect for All Inclusive, if you want fine dining then pay for it Pool - Very good, plenty of sunbeds although at that time of the year you had to pick the right bed as the sun was low in the sky, the weather was fantastic though, a change from cold England! both pools were a little cold but again fine, the pool area was always kept clean and tidy Entertainment - This is where the hotel cam into it's own, I don't know whether this was due to the winter period as there were staff from other hotels in the chain (Greece and Italy), they were fantastic though, always willing to get people involved and always there with a smile on their face, Peter was an absolute nutter but so much fun, the New Year's ever dinner was fantastic, really well organised with the meal and celebration and the disco till 3 in the morning was amazing and so much fun, can't say enough about the staff and how much better they made this holiday Hotel Staff - Fantastic from the Reception when we arrived to the guys sweeping the floor in the food hall, always friendly and with a smile on their face, even making jokes about some of the food and it not been as good as last nights! bar staff were great also, very friendly and helpful. Location - Very good, not too far from the beach if you want or a bit of nightlife (quiet when we were there but it was out of season I suppose) and a 15 minute walk from Siam Park which is a must. Would I recommend this hotel? yes, is it value for money? probably a little expensive for what you actually get and it could do with a spruse around the edges, what really makes this a great hotel is the staff, a great place to staff and sunshine in December! a must!!!
