We had a fantastic two week holiday at this hotel. We have arrived home well rested and will definitely be returning. We are regular visitors to Tenerife but wanted something extra special this year and we found it. The breakfast was amazing. The staff at the hotel are very polite and can't do enough for you. Thank you to all the staff you made our holiday extra special. Our son had a good holiday too and he wants to return. Thank you again.

The hotel itself is stunning, The exterior and communal areas are really beautiful. How-ever our ground floor room was very dark and dated. Our balcony/terrace faced on to the pool area, Our view was obscured by large, overgrown trees and plants which obviously meant that no natural light could get in to the room. The ceiling in our bathroom above the shower had a 3cm hole in and there was black mould all around the ceiling in the shower/bath area (No extraction fan). The housekeeping staff were lovely though and I thought the little light you could switch on for "Do not disturb" or "Housekeeping" was a good touch. I do think if we would of had a better room this review would of been 5 stars, We never saw our Thomson rep to mention are issues (I'm sure he waited for us to leave the room as we always returned to a note shoved under the door) We are not the type to complain to the hotel ourselves personally but I guess if the hotel offered a true 5 star experience they would of cared to ask.

CURRENTLY staying in this hotel. We like the feel of it. Mexican themed and very quirky. Love the colour scheme and the decore. The hotel feels very cooling. Our room is great although bits of it need a refurb but it's still very good. Lots of colour and very relaxing. The pool area is deceiving. Loads of palm trees.....the most I've ever seen at a hotel so much shade if required and also the hotel although full seems to feel reasonably quite. Great pool! The hotel has a beach area and enough beds. Never an issue getting a bed there. Plus they have a cordon off swim area. Also, fabulous breakfast! Love it. Downside, not much. A few more smiles from the girls in the breakfast area and a clean up around the tennis courses. Oh also, last downside is the gym is poor. Machines broke BUT its run by a third party so out of the hotels remit. That needs to change. Would I come back....yes.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Erika in reception is beyond helpful. Villa Cortes is in perfect location and everything is in walking distance. Staff is more than helpful and no request is an hassle. Having little medical emergency in the hotel..they where very fast and efficient . Love this hotel and definitely return with all our friends 😍

Hi Stayed here as a couple late July early August for 10 nights in room 107. Room (more like a suite) was very well furnished and captures the Mexican theme which has been tastefully done throughout the hotel. Internally the hotel is very underused as little or no entertainment but plenty of places to relax. If you need to work while there the piano bar beside reception is excellent and the only real place to catch a decent wifi signal. Externally is much busier with the pool and beach area. You do need to be early to catch a decent spot by the pool but further back you should have no problems. Staff throughout are very pleasant, friendly and dressed to the Mexican theme. Very relaxing atmosphere throughout and an older demographic of guest so if your a young group looking for a party during the day by the pool...forget it.. Best bit?.....the bar above the beach bar without a doubt..... what a place to watch the sunset. The DJ is first class and plays the most chilled out tracks....think he must mix them himself. The egg station at breakfast is also pretty special. BUT...and i cant put my finger on it other than to say there is something missing....for us anyway...had a really relaxing break in a beautiful hotel that is ideally situated BUT... and still dont know so if i can figured out will update this,

Visited last week, chose it on basis of positive reviews but personally a little disappointed. The positives are - very pleasant staff, attentive manager, no restriction as regards towels ( room or pool) , great location, a stones throw from nice restaurants, bars and shops ( really no need to do half board), large rooms, great beach bar, lovely piano bar ( live pianist twice a week). Quirky - many areas fully furnished , Mexican art scattered about - but sadly unused! The negatives- pool area really needs attention- sun loungers old and really not clean, broken parasols scattered around pool area , quite crowded around pool, bedrooms need more lighting ( too dark), bathrooms dated, have to pay extra for wifi as hotel wifi only really works in the reception area, spa is not part of the hotel so again have to pay to enter( 15 euros) even if you are having a treatment! Overall it is a pleasant quirky hotel but needs a little attention to certain areas in order to keep up its star rating.

Just got home from a week at Villa Cortes and it is 5 star all the way. The staff are incredibly helpful and professional, the hotel is unique and the best in Tenerife. The food is fantastic and the pool perfect. The rooms are spacious, clean and tastefully furnished with brilliant air conditioning and ceiling fans. The room service and facilities are all 100% 5 star, we were treated like royalty and have no complaints other than the other guests. The guests are rude, thieves and inconsiderate. They put towels on all the sunbeds, throw rubbish on the floor, STEAL food and water from the breakfast bar, leave plates and cups by the pool, smoke around your children, have incredibly loud telephone conversations, allow their children to run wild with football and swearing. This hotel is just amazing and I would return any time I just wish the guests were as upmarket as the hotel.

As frequent Tenerife visitors we can definitely say this hotel is the best all rounder. It is in the perfect position with the golden mile one side and nightlife haven the other side plus it's on the sea front. The Mexican style is quirky and fun and provides an interesting different experience. The breakfast was superb. The staff were good not exceptional but a few stood out, especially the bar staff. The pool area was excellent, considering we went at peak time there was always free sun beds and plenty of equal sun and shade. Beautiful surroundings. Very quiet at night with little or no entertainment but the beach bar was open and had good music. We didn't have a problem with lack of entertainment as you only had to walk out the door to two long stretches of fun for all the family.

Beautiful hotel we visited the hotel last two weeks in July it was very impressive nothing too much trouble every whim catered for . Rooms were very spacious the only down side for us was that there were no handles to get hold of getting out of the shower which was over the bath but all in all a an excellent hotel will certainly visit again .

Visited this hotel with my wife, daughter, son-in-law & grandson. This hotel is a Mexican themed 5 star hotel that is very impressive, quite large and well done. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite on the 1st floor, the whole hotel is very smart and clean. The manager was very pleasant with friendly staff. The breakfast is a buffet with an excellent choice. There's plenty to do, a few bars, sports, piano lounge, sauna, a few restaurants, and quiet lounges, the pool has waterfalls and is quite spacious & the kids will love the baby pool. It is ideally located with loads of bars and restaurants close by. (Not the rowdy ones) The hotel backs onto the sea in a decent area away from the Veronica strip. A black sand beach and a golden sand beach are close by. My son-in-law recommended it as he has been a couple of times and I can see why, it's great for families with a good few Spanish families, I'll be going back the next time we go to Tenerife, do the same, you'll love it.
