We recently returned from this hotel where we spent our honeymoon. The hotel is nothing other than outstanding! The food, the service, the rooms, everything was just perfect. I could not find a single fault in anything. This is the third time I have visited this hotel and I can honestly say on every occasion I could not have been happier. We had the most amazing honeymoon and would not change a thing. Thank you to all the staff at the Villa Cortes!
Just returned from this hotel had fantastic stay was there why the James hargeaves group was there for a golfing trip have to say the lads were friendly courteous and yes was enjoying the trip but causing no hassle lovely bunch of blokes..hotel staff very friendly food really good definitely will be returning very classy place!!
I have just returned last week from Villa Cortes which I have visited annually for the last 15 years. The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, and all staff are friendly and helpful. However, on Friday 29 September 2017 a so-called golfing convention from James Hargreaves Group arrived. Boisterous noise from the bar behind the reception could be heard around the complex. The following morning you could smell the cheap aftershave and stale drink before the group arrived at the pool announcing their achievements from the previous night, for example (excluding some swear words): I was barred from every pub I went into last night. I was behind the bar trying to serve my own drinks. A demonstration of this persons preferred sexual position. After this had continued for several hours I went to reception to complain, but they already knew as various other guests had already beaten me to it. When the group eventually left the pool area the quagmire that was left, I have seen travellers / gypsies leave an illegal site in a better state. So why, Villa Cortes, do you allow lager louts to bring a 5 star hotel down to a 2 star hostel. You are losing return guests and recommendations to others. So by all means visit Villa Cortes, but prior to booking do check that the above group will not be there at the same time.
Recommended to my wife and I by a friend this Hotel did not disappoint impressive reception efficient check-in. Taken to our upgraded room wow junior suite overlooking the complex pool and sea view to the side fantastic two balconies complete with sun beds and parasol . Breakfast to die for eggs benedict, unbelievable omelettes and all the trimmings. 14 days of heaven will return next year, stayed B&B lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Big thank you to Erica and the rest of the reception staff and Ricardo the Hotel Director for all your help and super customer service.
Had a fabulous ground floor room, it was enormous, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely and the breakfasts were to die for! We loved the pool area, the beds were not cramped together, it was very relaxing and enjoyable!
Check in very efficient with luggage brought to our room. Fantastic room with huge balcony and comfy sunbeds. Did not like bathroom area as prefer walk in shower instead of over bath, however bathroom large and had everything you needed. Not enough sunbeds and had to put towels on beds at 8am to ensure you had an umbrella. Very comfortable sunbeds though with towels available to pick up without any hassle. We were given half board free and were not disappointed. Breakfast good but not exceptional unless you loved eggs. Pool was freezing Cold and could do with a major refurb as many tiles missing. Would not enjoy going into pool if I stayed in the winter months. On the whole was very satisfied and would certainly return as in a great location.
Recently spent 5 days at the Villa Cortes. Booked a ground floor room didn’t get it. Ended up in room 202 which was very noisy and could do with a refurb. For the money I paid I expected something a little Bit more. Breakfast was nice and the staff here were very pleasant. The pool was A bit disappointing with numerous tiles Missing or on the pool floor. And as usual the morning trip to the pool to get a bed Otherwise all gone. The bar prices were extortionate for Tenerife. The staff at the pool bar were very subdued and not very friendly. I was planning a 9 person 2 week stay there for next year. So I’m glad I checked it out first Location exceptional, but not worth the money I paid.
Just come back from a 14 day holiday and our 5th time at the Villa cortes. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We received 5 star treatment from arrival to departure. The staff are all so friendly and go the extra mile. As it was our silver wedding anniversary friends also stayed at this hotel and they will all return. I would like to say a special thank you to the dj on the beach as his music was fab and lovely guy. Will be returning next year.
Just returned from a week's holiday and although we were upgraded to a suite and half board we did not like the attitude of many of the surly, unwelcoming staff. Twice we asked to speak to the manager about our experience but he never turned up. Our main complaint is with the evening meals. We were never allowed to see the menu in advance and after one particularly inedible meal we decided to abandon the hotel restaurant and eat in town. The 2 meals we had in the hotel were spoiled as we had to sit next to smokers or else eat inside which was a shame when the temperature was 30+ degrees. We also had an issue with the way the sunbeds were reserved by guests at 6.45 am and as there was not a surplus of beds we often could find no free loungers. The hotel electrics also need updating as all the switches were loose or lights did not work. No point in complaining as no one seemed bothered. Do be careful about authorising bank cards as we have now discovered 2 days after our return that the hotel has taken out money after we had paid our bill and had not bothered to inform us or explain why this happened
Booked here for a week in September for B&B. On arrival we were upgraded to a garden room which was a nice big room but it ended there. We were in P-117 which was next to the spa and couldn't sleep the first night and we complained at 4am. The view from the so called balcony was just bushes, no sunlight or anything nice. The next day we were moved to room 418 and wow what a difference, beautiful views, sunshine shining through the windows and a balcony bigger than the room. The staff were all very nice the breakfast was lovely, people moan its the same thing everyday but that's same where ever you go. Probably wouldn't rush back but a fantastic location for anyone looking to stay in the area.
