We stayed (2 people) for 10 days over Christmas B&B and had a fabulous time overall. I must say that we booked before reading the reviews and to be honest we were a little apprehensive about what we would be arriving to find (cockroaches, unclean etc.) thankfully we did not see any such thing. This review is likely to be long, I have worked in hospitality and been a Reception Manager myself so I can also appreciate how things work from behind the scenes and how hard people work to make our holidays enjoyable, for sometimes little gratitude. STAFF/PERSONNEL – To be honest ALL of the staff that we encountered were very polite and cheerful, whether that was to speak to directly or to even just simply walk past, we were always greeted with a smile and a “Ola” or good morning/afternoon. I will make a special mention to a few members of staff that made our stay, personally, that bit more unique. Dino on reception (informative & helpful), Abel at breakfast, Azahara who kept our bungalow spotless on a daily basis and Davinia who seemed to be everywhere (breakfast, bar and even in the Piano Bar one evening (always very welcoming). The maintenance guys were also fantastically polite while they were trimming trees etc. APARTMENT – We had a 1 bedroom apartment (184) which was up at the top end right next to Pool number 3. Smaller than the photos depicted but perfectly adequate for our needs. It was not one of the refurbished rooms however it was spotlessly clean and all in working order so no complaints at all. We never saw one bug whilst there. Apartment was equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kettle (also 2 stove hob and pots pans etc. But we did not cook there so can not comment on that). Our Terrace looked on to the Tennis court which was fine as rarely used so pretty quiet and the sun came round at approx. 4pm. There were several sets of steps to get to the apartment but to be honest the only time we really noticed it was when carrying luggage on the first & last day. We did struggle to find our room with the map given but once there it was all good. SAFE – There is a safe in the room which is only 3 Euros per day and fairly large. For peace of mind it was worth it for car keys, passports, cash, phones, tablets etc. However we did leave tablets/ on charge whilst out at the pool and despite housekeeping being in they were untouched. FOOD – We were B&B only so can not comment on lunches/evening meals etc. Breakfast had a good selection of hot & cold food but to be honest after 3 days it lost it’s novelty and I was quite happy with coffee & toast (next time will just go self-catering). POOLS – Only used the top one as it was right outside the apartment but it was clean and fairly spacious. Also the deepest pool at 1.25m with no shallow end so as 2 adults were very happy with it. The fountains/waterfalls were not in operation while we were there. EVENING ENTERTAIMENT – Sadly we found this severely lacking! When coming back from having an evening meal we went past the entertainment area/bar and to be honest the only night it was “busy” (and that is stretching it) was the last night we were there. The live shows (snakes/eagles) were fairly good but the live music was pretty dull. We played a few games of pool and left on the rare occasions we bothered at all. WEATHER – Overall the weather was brilliant, averaging at 22-25 during the day and lovely sunshine. A couple of afternoons came over cloudy but we took that as a perfect opportunity to have a walkabout down at the beach front which is only a 5 minute walk and lots of shops/bars to stop in at. Google maps makes it look a lot further than it actually is. OVERALL – Some parts of the complex need a bit of refurbishment but work seems to be in progress gradually. We found it very clean, tidy and adequate for what we needed as a couple. RECCOMENDATIONS 1. Make Pool 3 an adults only pool. There are two other pools that children can play in and take their inflatables etc. Our last couple of days were a little tainted by families shouting & screaming while most were just trying to chill out & read. Also it felt a bit intimidating to go to the pool when ball games etc. were being played. 2. The evening entertainment needs to be more welcoming. The music was very dull most of the time. Actually I would give the whole “Cave Bar” theme a rethink as it is a bit dreary if I am honest. 3. I don’t know if this is the same in all apartments but we had no room information AT ALL. A laminate, or folder to advise of the number to call for reception, meal times, pool times, evening/day entertainment, food/drink pricing, photos with examples of the food, facilities (i.e. pool tables, squash court, tennis court, football etc.) Might help to sell it if people know about them. 4. The Piano Bar!! OMG why is it even called that? Yes the piano was there but was never played. The music that is played in the bar is so quiet that you can barely hear it even when you walk inside. Turn the volume up!!! 5. Reception staff please cheer up!!! You are front of house guys & girls, you are the very first impression your guests get of the hotel, smile and be a bit more enthusiastic. Oh! and when a guest comes to the desk please acknowledge them instead of continuing to work on your computer (Dino did not do this and was attentive straight away). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for those not expecting "luxury", which we were not expecting for a 3 star anyway. It was very adequate for our needs.

We stayed here for a week in March 2018. The bungalows are located close to the beach and near to all entertainment. Also a lovely walk into las Américas. The staff are all very nice & helpful & the beds made & towels changed daily. We stayed bed & breakfast, the food was lovely, cannot fault anything, something for everyone. They have 2 heated pools which was a bonus. The only fault I found is that the rooms we stayed in had not yet been renovated, therefore very long walks around the whole complex to get in & out of the place. If you have trouble walking or climbing steps I would ask before you book about where your room is situated. Otherwise once the whole place has been renovated & up to standards throughout it will be a fantastic & cheap place to stay.

Spent a week there in March, the hotel has a great location, very close to the beach. Our room was apparently not a renovated one but still it was very nice and tidy and at least the bedroom seemed refurbished. I was a bit worried beforehand due to some reviews I read here but was definitely pleasantly surprised! We requested a room in the upper floors and got exactly that and had great viesti from the room. The hotel area/layout was a bit complex at first, it took some time to learn how to go everywhere but it was fine eventually. We were half board and the food was great, good variety of options and the menu changed everyday. Some nights there was entertainment at the cave bar. The two heated pools were really nice and warm, and we managed to get sun loungers everyday at the back pool - there were more people at the two other pools and the sun chairs there were mostly taken/reserved with towels which was not very nice. There was also water aerobics on a couple of days which was fun. Overall we really liked the hotel, it was good value for money and we would definitely go again + recommend the place!

The hotel is cheap and very well located just one block from the sea front and many restaurants, amenities nearby but very tired. Even being tired and basic the hotel could have a potential to get 5* review. I was there with a party of 14. To start there was a confusion with number of beds in one of the apartments which could have been sorted out very easily, but it required a lot of conversation with 4 members of the staff and 24hs wait. Cockroaches are all over the place and in my room there was a terrible smell of sewage which took 1/2 day to be fixed. The hotel says there was washing machine in the apartments, but except in mine. Meals can be paid as you go or buy a promotional “bundle” for 3 days which save you few €€’s. Meals are decent and drinks are included, but also trying restaurants around the hotel is a must. For the price I wouldn’t expect fresh towels all the time, but we got every other day. Also, common areas are kept tidy all the time. As a regular traveler to Tenerife I’m not sure if I would stay there again, maybe it’s worth spending little bit more for a better place.

Well just come back after a week.all round on the whole enjoyabls stay.but i carnt understand why they dont make a little more our bath had brown marks on it and cut my self on the bit missing on it.needs a lick of paint.shower leaked.double bed was tiny.just annoying little things .rest was great apart from the bar need to smile.on the whole cheap and cheerful and well locatef.

stayed in June 2017 for 2 weeks. it's neither great nor poor it's what you make of it. must admit after checking in and dragging our suitcases what seemed like miles up loads of hills and steps I opened the door with some intrepidation and then my heart sank. the room was certainly in need of an update couldn't find anything in there that was likely to have been bought after the year 2000. we packed our clothes away in the 1970s wardrobes and sat on the 1970s frayed sofa but was happy to see a 1960s washing machine in the bathroom which did come in useful as we were staying there for 2 weeks just a shame it leaked so much. we were self catering so had a kitchen which minimal cooking could have been done in. staff were hit and miss only one particular male on reception that was grumpy all the time the others had their moments as long as you weren't asking for too much. we didn't have much choice but to stay there once we had paid our money so we just had to make the best of it. the pools were ok and attended by a lifeguard and a good plus side you are very near to everything. would we go again er not really having been many times to tenerife there are far better value for money hotels in the same area. if your expectations aren't high and you have found a cheap deal yeah go but at best it's 2*

Basic accommodation unfortunately they were refurbishing some rooms in our block, couldn't quite understand why they gave us a room where all around were workmen banging and chiselling from 8am. There are 190 separate rooms in this place thought that it would have been possible to close the block to allow workmen to get on with it while not disturbing the guests. Wasn't that busy. Otherwise staff friendly and helpful, entertainment team were great with kids.

Family here having a 10 day break..nice clean apartment..friendly staff and helpful..nice complex..evening entertainment..helps keep kids amused..good location..lots of bars/restaurants within a few minutes walk..Market held Tuesdays and Sundays 5 minutes away..5 minute walk to seafront..20 minute stroll along seafront to PDLA..

Stayed here in January 2017. Clean, tidy, helpful staff and very good value for money. Close to local amenities too. The staff were very helpful when asking about local places to visit. Food good quality too.

Had a room near reception which was ideal.Staff friendly.Room cleaned regularly.Would benefit from few more English channels rather than just news.Couple of room issues quickly resolved.Self catering so cant comment on food.Went to entertainment room once but only handful in so left.Nice pool area with several to choose from.Ideally located.Would return.
