A clean and friendly hotel, with great facilities. It was just the right distance from the centre to be quiet at night but it only took 5minutes to walk to all the bars , clubs and shops. The room was modern and well maintained. There was a wide selection of food daily, even for the fussiest of eaters! The pool was good but the largest of the pools was more than a little chilly. Plenty of sun beds for all and loved the no saving policy. The only thing that let the hotel down was the entertainment for adults. It was very weak and quite repetitive. This might change in the high season. There was a stage and lights outside but this was not used, an open air disco would have been fun. The entertainment staff were very young and although they spoke various languages they always did so at speed and too close to the microphone so were difficult to understand. I would however return and have already recommended the hotel to friends.
Arrived at hotel our first time and was immediately impressed , we usually stay in the Mediterranean palace over the road. Got our room on the 1st floor which was ok but 24 hr later had to change due to rowdy guests (we are all on holiday). Food and drinks lovely, staff lovely as well and work hard to please us all. Pool area lovely plenty beds but the same happens here as round other pools, people put towels down and don’t come back till the afternoon which is no good. All in all a lovely hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! Right now on my last day I’m waiting to video the 9am dash for the sun beds x
We had a week at the Best in March. We visited last March too. This year we had a refurbished room, which was lovely. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Nice not to have to pay extra for the safe and fridge. We were all inclusive and I have to say, we thought the food was good. There was plenty of choice, salads were lovely and varied, always different things to try. Dining room was always quieter at lunchtime, but we never had to wait for a table in the evening. All three bar areas were lovely, plenty of seating, very helpful bar staff. Liked pouring our own drinks! All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Rooms and public areas were spotless. Pool area was good, plenty of room, sunbeds and entertainment if you want it. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
I stayed in this hotel for a week, full boarding, quality of the food is OK not great, staff in the hotel is very nice, nice pool for kids, couple of things I did not like example no kettle in the room and if you need one you will have to rent it.
So far we have been here one night and have encountered two extremely rude staff! One on reception and the other at the bar when we asked for bottled water!!!! We have payed for an all inclusive package and don’t expect the nasty angry response we got from the barman when asking for a bottle of water. We payed for a superior room with a pool view which we haven’t got so we went to politely enquirer why not. The female receptionist was rude, snappy and couldn’t wait to get rid of us. All we got was “you payed for a senitor room on the sixth floor!” When I asked what that meant she stared at me blankly and shrugged. Bad start to my 40th birthday celebration.
Lived up to the name. Had a lovely week here. Shared a family room for 4 of us, would have slept 6. Room was massive, never stayed in such a big family room. Very clean. Staff all very helpful. Food great, no complaints from us. Entertainment staff did a great job. Especially Ricardo, and girl from Netherlands whose name I cant remember. We were 4 adults, so cant comment on the kids stuff, but from a distance the kids appeared to be loving every second . especially foam party.Good amount adult entertainment available day and night, all usual standard holiday stuff, caberet, magic, yoga, pool aerobics, water polo etc.. We not big drinkers but there was plenty of choice on all inclusive. Sampled a few cocktails at discounted rate for AL. again no complaints there. Great location walking distance to towns in both direction. Great shops, not just holiday souveiners. Beaches clean, black sand. We liked it as its all flat, as one of our party has difficulty walking uphill. There where lots of disabled travellers with motors scooters, access for them was great. Would recommend to anyone.
Great family hotel ...rooms are spacious and very well cleaned and kept tidy ...this is our 4th time returning to the same hotel and we met the same people who have been going to his hotel at the same time over the years which shows you the hotel is great and The location is fab
This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and it won't be the last. We booked a family room the last time so this time we booked a suite so we had a little bit more room. The suite is at the end of the corridor and had a large balcony with sun loungers, a table and 4 chairs so you can sit out and enjoy the sun and the views in quiet relaxed manner. The beds were firm but comfortable and the rooms were quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. The food in the restaurant is good with a wide variety served every day with a few different theme nights. The pool area has a bar that serves snacks and drinks throughout the day when the restaurant is closed. The entertainment for the kids throughout the day and in the evening is quite good and the entertainment staff are very lively and friendly. The hotel itself is clean and tidy and is currently undergoing a refresh with new carpets in the halls and refreshed rooms that have a modern feel. All the staff are very friendly and nothing seems too much for them. We will definitely be coming back again and again.
This is my 2nd time in the Best tenerife and on both occasions we have had a really nice stay. My hubby enjoyed the food as he likes to try fish which i don't buy at home.I have a gluten free diet which was accommodated well. We used the roof terrace which was amazing. Not having kids with us, this gave us the peace and quite by the jacuzzi which was nice for a wee change. Only downside there was that there isn't a toilet up there so you have to go back to your room for that. I would go back there again
Let me first say that I am by no means a travel snob but given how many options there are in Tenerife for you to choose from please do not pick this hotel until the management make some changes (hence the 1 star review as this is the only way changes will be made!!!). First off the positive. Rachel the head animator at the hotel is a real credit. She never stopped working to try and make the guest happy. This girl deserves more support from the hotel as she had no budget, no costumes and equipment that constantly broke. I got the impression that hotel didn’t really care if the guests stayed for the evening as the majority of guest were on all-inclusive so why bother. Now onto the problems!!! Cockroaches in the restaurant. I appreciate it’s a warm environment but there is no excuse. One guest even found one crawling on her arm at dinner time. When they approached management to tell them they were going to wright to the environmental health they were told “we know the people there and all that will happen is we will give them a free spa, food and drink and they will go away happy!!!” The pool! Freezing cold but the biggest issue was the arrgresivly policed “no fun policy”. Things banned from the pool included all inflatables, all balls no matter how small or light, all water squitter’s. When asked why we were told that it is the law in Tenerife that inflables are now banned due to a death. Now this is either a lie or The Best hotel is the only one policing it as the 4 other hotels we popped into all had guests enjoying themselves on inflatables. Even if this was the case why the ban on water squirtes and small balls? (Also the hotel shop also sells them). What you can do at the pool with no problem at all is play fight if you’re a teenager in the children’s pool scaring the younger kids and smoke on your sun bed waving your dirty smelly cigerate in my sons face. Finally the room. We stayed at Easter so it was obvious that they had rushed to get the 2nd floor of the hotel open and our room although newly refurbed was bland with very little fixtures (apart from the bathroom which was extremely nice) and the worst pillows. Now the reason I know they rushed is the fact the corridor had no skirting boards and there was paint all over the carpet. This was the first impression of the hotel after the lobby and I am afraid we should have known that it would be downhill there. The thing that is most upsetting is we know how good this hotel can be as this was our 3rd stay here last stay been 2016 but it will most certainly be our last. I am sure the management will either not comment on this review or pick out the positives and tell me the pool regulations are law but I look forward to a detailed reply Ps Give Rachel a pay rise!!!!!
