We stayed here for two nights during our vacation on Sardinia with breakfast and dinner included. The pool area was nice, but the sumchairs a bit old. The staff was very friendly and the food and wine ok. We booked the hotel for just being by the pool for a day and we had a good and relaxing stay.
We booked Pausania Inn and arrived a bit early but all efforts were made for us get a room before the check in time as my husband didn’t feel too well. Unfortunately after a couple of days his situation didn’t improve and I had to hospitalize him.I did however have a taste of the excellent food the restaurant served. When I needed help with ambulance ,car return and a lift to the hospital the owner of this family run hotel ,with such a warm intimate atmosphere, immediately volunteered to drive me. In this trying condition I had such a lot of support and I will always be very grateful. I highly recommend Pausania Inn
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and tidy hotel. Ate at restaurant every evening. Stunning food and incredible service. Can't wait to return. Would highly recommend. Had free upgrade from room to apartment which suited us perfectly. Would recommend a car as we didn't have one and had to walk a lot!! We didn't mind this but some people would.
We've just got back from a 2 week stay here and had a great break. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff really helpful. Breakfast was a cold buffet but with plenty of choice and all very fresh. Evening meals that we had in the restaurant were good and reasonably priced. Great location to explore the North of the Island from by car. Would definitely stay here again!
Only been here one day. Fine but dull. Lot of old people. Bland. Not up to modern standards. Eg not enough plug points for phone chargers. Bar service slow. Town centre shut on Tuesdays. Evening chilly. Feeling depressed.
September 2017. This was our 10th visit. Why do we return every year to this hotel? This is a lovely, well managed, family run hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful food (option to eat “al fresco”). Excellent value for money. Nice clean rooms with ensuite, air conditioning and mini fridge. Car hire is essential if you want to explore the surrounding countryside and beautiful beaches (nearest beach about 40 minute drive over very quiet roads). Good sized swimming pool with loungers and children’s pool at the side. Plentiful parking. Supermarket just up the road. Hotel happy to arrange excursions on request.
We had a good sized room with outdoor space, simple but pleasant furniture, good bathroom. When eating in evening rather than lunchtime we stuck to the hotel as although Tempio walkable we felt the first stretch on busy main road with no pavement too dangerous for us old codgers. Food good value and quality ok both breakfast and dinner, if uninspiring. However the otherwise excellent service took a nose dive when a big group was in. I know the management will say the limlted number of staff lets them keep costs down but 2 hours to get 2 courses is unreasonable regardless. Also if not eating no one to serve a drink in the bar! When no big group in service was fine.
This hotel needs to be reviewed in three different sections: location, accommodation, restaurant and amenities. Location: we visited with two kids on foot with no car. There is a bus to the town nearby from olbia. We arrived to find there are no taxis in the town so had to walk to the hotel some 2km from the station into the country side. We didn't mind this it was an adventure...but some might. The little town is great with ice cream shops a kids playground and restaurants and a great pizzeria take out wood oven cooked on the square. There is an ancient site about 10 minutes walk away worth a visit and an excellent restaurant next to it which has meats cooked on wood oven. A car would have been useful but for five days we rested and did very little which is good. The views are spectacular. Accommodation: we had a spacious 4 bed room with huge balcony. It is a 3 star italian hotel and that rating is bang on. Nothing fancy room wise but clean and functional. The pool was great and the kids spent every afternoon in the pool and met local children who came to play. For the adults it was relaxing and a good size. We never had to struggle for a sun bed. At 6 pm they bring a little bar out to buy aperitif and snacks lovely. Restaurant: excellent! In the Michelin guide for good reason. 4/5 star good with local specialities. We paid half board which made it very good value as the kids got full meals. The hotel is lovely calm and peaceful and although staff not overly gregarious that means you are not being bothered every 5 minutes. Yes, you sometimes have to wait at the bar for staff as they are setting up for dinner but we had all day so didn't care! Oh and breakfast was ample and great views from breakfast room. Really lovely time!
I have just stayed one night in a 'superior room' at the gorgeous Pausania Inn. A very large 'resort style' complex, the Inn is spread over a large piece of land just outside Tempio Pausania, with a beautiful pool, restaurant with outside eating area, plentiful parking (bikes, cars and motorbikes) and spacious rooms. I found my room to be meticulously clean, really airy and comfortable, with great air conditioning, a large and comfy bed and ensuite bathroom. Staff are so helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious and excellent value (I had dinner there). The Inn is a 10 minute walk from the Centro storico of Tempio Pausania, which I found to be one of the most charming and lovely towns that I have visited. In fact, my only regret was not staying longer! I highly recommend both Pausania Inn and the town of Tempio Pausania, and will definitely be returning for a longer stay! Grazie Mille per la tua ospitalità!
We were here for our last night before returning home , dinner was good , but not enough staff , and bar staff were very difficult to find / non existent! Breakfast was a bit disappointing to be honest , general quality of food could be better and no fresh fruit !? The room was fine , no complaints there really . The pool was a little disappointing but not as bad as what people had said , I had thought there was a bar by the pool but this is not the case !
