We spent 8 nights at Lumiere and absolutely loved it! We had a spacious 3 bedroom condo with great mountain views! The property is relatively new and the furnishings were in great condition. Can't say enough about the wonderful staff...they gave us restaurant recommendations, help with finding a place to go horseback riding, bike trail information, chairs to borrow for jazz fest...the list goes on! Also included a nice buffet breakfast! Kudos to Bas, Trevor, Julia, Camille, Clare, Jose, Charlene, Marisol and Rosa! They really know how to make their guests feel welcome!
We were passing through and stayed one night at Lumiere. The room, pool, hot tub were all great. Only thing to note was we could not override the thermostat and the room was 80 degrees while we were sleeping. The staff was exceptional! The most courteous bellmen, kindest front desk and breakfast hostess with the mostest. They gave us great recommendations on restaurants and made this place super special. We will be back for a longer stay next time! Thanks!
Just had our second stay at the Lumiere in Mountain Village and everything about the place is first class. The hotel offers traditional rooms and suites. Our suite had two bedrooms, huge kitchen, living room, bathrooms and a balcony with views to die for. The hotel staff is on top of their game, super friendly folks. It's also a pet friendly place which is an added plus. Breakfast is top flight with a nice variety of items. Rooms are very clean, furnishings are excellent. Includes fancy Swiss made washer and dryer - very handy! The suite is essentially a condo and I could be in heaven living here year round! Very quiet for sleeping. Very close to the Mountain Village shops, restaurants and the Gondola. I love most everything about this hotel and the only downside is the cost per night, It's _very_ expensive. That said, we've become addicted to this place and will likely return. Thanks to everyone at the Lumiere for making another great stay for us! You guys ROCK!
We spent four days during the summer at the Lumiere (early July 2017) and it's a wonderful property. Small, but extremely cozy, and a wonderful location near the Mountain Village core in Telluride. Overall I would say that the Lumiere has to be on your A list if you're heading to Telluride. For those that have not been to Telluride...go! It's an incredible place in the summer, and deep and step in the winter!
From the luxurious room with spectacular views, to the unmatched service this was a vacation our family will never forget. The staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. In particular, Trevor, Camille, Julia and Jose provided truly exceptional service. We can't wait to return!
Loved our stay! Service was exceptional with staff constantly greeting, happily answering questions and trying to make our stay comfortable. We were upgraded to a suite with views, a welcome surprise! Furnishings, bathrooms, kitchen (Wolf range, dishwasher, full fridge, etc), balconies, gas fireplace, bedding, etc. were exceptional. Also appreciated the free extra water, high quality lotions, lip balm, etc. Room serviced each day and turn down also offered. Not all rooms have views, so ask if you want one. True, no AC, although not really needed in our room; nice cross breeze with windows open and daytime temps usually in 70s in summer. Daily resort fee (around $22) and parking fee ($25/day) added to bill, so understand those fees in advance. Breakfast & free wifi included. Breakfast (7-10AM) was an enhanced continental (Greek yogurt berries, breads, bagels, prepared quiche/hard boiled eggs, boxed cereal, juices, coffee). Coffee was average (and don't pay extra for a latte/cappuccino - not great). Free cookies in lobby and ice tea in bar a nice treat. The bar is open in afternoon and early evening for drinks. A creative, small pool area was very nice. It has a great hot tub, small pool kept at 86 degrees and cold plunge pool. There are other condos nearby and some daytime noise of people, cars, etc. However, tucked just off the central Mountain Village area so likely quieter than other nearby properties. Quiet, comfortable sleep. Short walk to restaurants and gondola.
My wife and I attended the 2017 Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The festival was outstanding, although there's nothing like returning to a five star hotel after a day of bluegrass. The room was amazing and the view was even better. The staff was extremely helpful! Below are a few services that made a difference for my wife and I. As soon as I arrived, I was met by a young energetic man who helped me with hotel-village-town directions, he hauled my bags to the room and he parked my truck in the garage. When my wife and I checked in, the adorable young lady behind the desk had a portfolio and room keys waiting for me. Good fortune struck after we arrived. We were offered a very nice upgrade during a very busy festival week. When I needed to grab personal effects from my truck late at night, I was escorted to the garage by the evening supervisor... safety first!. When my wife and I entered the restaurant, we were told that the continental breakfast, beverages, etc., were complimentary. When my wife and I geared up for the festival, one of the associates in the lobby asked if we need lawn chairs. All I can say is wow and thank you! When we checked out of the hotel, my wife asked me when we were returning for a full week. My guess... next year. Thanks for all you do, Lumiere and the awesome staff. I'll see you again some day. From the time we arrived until the moment we left we were treated like family. Unparalleled customer service, luxurious rooms, delicious food. The concierge set up all of my family's activities (thank you, Camille) and if you have any questions or requests anyone there will happily take care of you. Thank you Bas, Claire, Jose, Charlene, etc. for a wonderful time.
We are always going to remember our stay at Lumiere! The hotel has a very upscale vibe and the rooms are very well maintained. The staff at the Lumiere is very courteous and extremely professional. It is located very close by to the Gondola so that was a plus too! A special shout out to Bas, Julia, Phil and Charlene for making our stay memorable!
My stay was nothing short of amazing! The customer service this staff provides (Trevor, Phil, Camille & of course Bas!) was such that I asked Bas if he sent the staff to a special training school (he doesn't) But it was THAT good! Anything I asked for, they were there to get it done. I also was the lucky recipient of a room upgrade and oh my Lord, the place was like a house! It was a 3 bed/3 bath residence with 2 balconys, an incredible kitchen and views to die for...all accessed by what felt like my very own elevator, right to my door. I followed this trip up with 3 days at the Four Seasons Biltmore, in Santa Barbara, and I would put Lumiere up against them all day long! Again, they are THAT good! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this place for those looking for a completely peaceful, relaxing stay where every whim will be satisfied in the most delicious way! I found that I didn't even want to explore the town, as much as I thought, because my residence was just so incredible & I wanted to stay in! Every single finish and decoration they use is of the utmost quality. It was definitely a first rate hotel, in every possible way, and if I could, I would give them 12 stars. Run, don't walk, to Lumiere...you will not be disappointed!! Oh yes, their continental breakfast was just as good as all of the reviews reported...I felt like I was in a restaurant, ordering anything yummy I could think of :) They truly bend over backwards to make all of their guests feel pampered and it was truly one of the most enjoyable weekends I've had. Thanks Bas & Staff...you nailed it!! Fondly, Stacey Salko
