The unit was worn and in need of refurbishments. Bed was comfortable with a great view but the room was stuffy and hot with only 2 small high windows and a smaller fan to provide airflow. The drive way was rough with tight windy bends. Would I stay there again...no.

Besides the tall trees growing in front of our unit, we had good surrounding views. The unit itself was top notch, cozy, clean and tidy. I especially loved the wall units above each bedside drawer! So so convenient! The downside - double bed was two king singles pushed together which had an uncomfortable “dip” in the middle. The driveway up to our unit was steep (ok) but had loose shingle and uneven and needed abit of tlc. Otherwise, great place to stay and would stay again.

This is an older style property, decoration etc etc dated but that’s part of its charm. Rooms are extremely clean . The restaurant offers a range of food options including a bar area . Staff are excellent.A few minutes drive from the Main Street of Te Kuiti .
