Holiday apartment had a well- appreciated heated drying rack, as we arrived in rainstorm. Efficient, has all you need. Staff super helpful- I left a book and came back a couple days later and it was neatly logged in a book and cheerfully returned. Location on lake is really helpful. Laundry was easy. It was just what we needed.

Great hotel, lovely staff that were flexible with check in and check out times. Wonderful location on lake front and close to town. Only negative WiFi was poor, kept disconnecting and flaky logging on, but had exactly same problem in two restaurants, so it’s probably a local provider issue.

Lake front view

Our room has lake front view. Parking lot is cleverly on the back so I think most rooms had lake view. It is easy walking distance to restaurants. There is a walking path along the lake.

3 nights. Did Kepler trail - beautiful. Went to Milford. Fantastic drive. Lovely views over lake. MUST BOOK RESTAURANTS - te Anau has lots of accommodation but not enough eateries .

Lovely Stay in Te Anua

Tha Lakeside offered spacious accommodation and was meticulously clean. Very well furnished apartment. Beautiful views over the lake. Excellent laundry facilities . Our favourite stay in New Zealand. Very convenient for restaurants.

Great Location and Walkable to Town and Tours

We enjoyed our 2 nights at the Lakeside Motel in Te Anau with beautiful views of the lake. Check in and out were a breeze and 2nd floor room was clean and met all our needs. Location is convenient for walking to restaurants and tour companies. Parking available on site.

Great Room, good kitchenette with everything necessary for breakfast. Room is non smoking but smoking is allowed on the balconies and picnic tables immediately in front so if you don’t mind second hand smoke it’s a good option. We would not choose this hotel again due to smoke entering our room from our neighbors.

The only reason I cannot give this property a better rating is the mattress. The mattress was lumpy and absolutely horrible. Everything else about the property was great but a bad night sleep is what I left with.

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect base for exploring the area. Te Anau itself is lovely and the views over the lake from the property are stunning. Beautiful place and really well run. Clean and good value for money.

Great place to stay

Have stayed here before and loved it, this is a return trip. Close enough to town to walk. What I think needs improvement is the frying pan is not nonstick. Everything Wales was great.
