Wow!Great room with wonderful harbour view. MIL loved room and amenities staff treated her like Royalty and so freindly. Handy location everything on the doorstep. Rooms so clean and fresh looking being so well maintained
The room was nicely laid out and sound proof. The availability of parking was excellent and the location was ideal. Could leave your car in the secure parking and walk to a bevy of restaurants. A criticism I have is the hold of $100 per night on my card. I understand the reasoning behind it but was not aware of it pre-check in (business trip booked by another person). However, I found this quite steep when it was a charge back room. My colleague was advised if there was not enough on her card she would not be given a key until there was, despite the fact our pay would be going in within the next 3 hours. I have no problem giving my card details to be authorised but found the amount unreasonable and it took 72 hours before the hold was released.
Very nice hotel with a central location close to all the shops and restaurants. Well appointed and very comfortable. I’ve enjoyed staying here before and it definitely a place you will want to comeback too.
The room was of average clean spacious pathetic small television. On checking in I was informed there was an extra charge of $25per night as there were 3 adults and the booking they had was only 2 as I had come from Australia I explained that I had booked from booking.com and I had booked for 3 adults the customer service attendee was very poor and wouldn't accept this she informed me I need to take this up with them as that is who I booked with very poor service considering another trip back to Tauranga but seriously will second think that Hotel for sure.
Well kept hotel located walking distance to great restaurants and the water. Rooms with a view have a great view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Onsite restaurant or bar would have been nice although not needed due to its proximity to other places. When you book if you want parking you have to specify and if driving it’s s must. Street parking is not good. Overall enjoyable family stay.
A second visit to this property, which has a good location on the main street and the bay. Sadly, the town centre is showing many signs of hard economic times, with many properties empty. The hotel is modern and well-furnished and appears to be one section of an apartment complex. In the NZ style, it should be noted that this is an hotel rather than serviced apartments, so no opportunity for self catering (and no restaurant on site either). Very comfortable, although the small service area in the rooms and also the fridges are crammed with items for sale. Staff are helpful, but very assertive in their demands to have bills settled and to collect all sorts of minor charges. This is not typical of hotels in general in NZ. Overall, however, a decent waterfront location and a pleasant environment.
This hotel is chic, modern, very clean and very comfortable Bed was very spacious and comfortable, room was big and decorated very beautifully, bathroom was very clean and modern Wifi very fast and all channels in sky. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. On arrival they’ve greeted us with complimentary drinks which was a great surprise. I will stay here again and again 😊
Hotel on Devonport definitely earned the 5 stars. We checked in on a Friday afternoon after a long drive, check in only took 5 minutes and we were up in our room. The rooms were large for the price, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great! An adjustable shower pressure was definitely a plus. For once I can say that the mini bar is cheap and I didn't mind getting things from it! Located right in the centre of town we walked out everywhere and every time we passed reception we were greeted by the very friendly staff. Definitely a great location to spend the weekend. Parking is under the hotel for an extra 10 dollars, plenty of parks and although it seems quite small my big 4WD had no problems fitting into a park. Overall would definitely stay here again and recommend to others
Stayed for one night in a family room so 2 x queen beds. Quite large room. Bathroom ok, shower no bath. Greeted with a complimentary drink on arrival which is delivered to your room. Great location right in town. Parking was cheap at $10 overnight and in a covered car park with direct access to hotel. Would stay again.
This is a great place to stay, walking distance to the restaurants and bars. Very quiet place to stay also. First world problems, they may use too much starch on their sheets, they're a bit quickly/noisey when you roll over at night! Loved the spa bath and complimentary drink on arrival. Will definitely stay there again
