Hotel on Devonport

A nice little place in Tauranga - close to the main restaurants and in the CBD. Staff were really helpful and the room comfortable. Only downside for the area is everything was closed on a Sunday night - no where to eat after about 8pm.

We stayed in an Executive Studio with a Spa and balcony on the 7th floor. It was clean and very comfortable and had everything you could need. The bed was luxuriously soft (a top priority for us) the air conditioner was bliss and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at this place. We had a good look around Tauranga and the Hotel on Devonport is smack bang in the centre of the city making this a breeze. At night you could hear some noise but soundproofed room was an advantage. We had a semi view of the waterfront from the balcony but enjoyed the fact we had a balcony, (another thing we look for). WiFi was great, no complaints but the Tv was a bit small and you could only turn the volume up a little bit. Quite frustrating for the Mere Male who has a hearing difficulty and not so good eyesight. But aside from that we totally enjoyed our stay. Tauranga is a lovely city and staying at the Hotel on Devonport made it even better. We would recommend it as a place to stay in Tauranga.

All good. Welcomed on arrival. Parking was easy but extra $10. Welcome drink delivered later was appreciated. Close to shopping and restaurants of which plenty to choose. Nice spacious rooms and great bed. Enjoyed our stay here

Second time staying at Hotel on Devonport, in Tauranga and I had to write a review! Don't let the fact that this hotel is tucked away on the main street throw you off as it truly is an amazing place to stay. Reception staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and immaculate. Room service is prompt and the breakfasts are substantial. Plenty of parking at the back, although with the large van we had this was tricky to negotiate. For me this is the place I will always stay while I am in Tauranga!

I stayed here for one night on business. The room was above average in size, well set out with modern furnishings. Easy checkin. Nice touch in that they deliver a wine or beer to your room on check in. Located right in the centre of Tauranga, with restaurants and shops just steps away. My view was the only disappointment, overlooking a back alley and back of shops. But not a biggie as was hardly in the room.

Fantastic location, with in walking distance to wonderful restaurants, cafes, shopping and movie theatres. Book a room with a sea view, the room has everything you would need for a short stay. Good choice of tea, plus coffee and plunger. Good size bath and a shower that doesn't leak water all over the floor yeah ! The bed was one of the most comfortable I I ever slept in and the sheets crisp, a wonderful nights sleep. Under cover parking for your car, daily newspaper. The Only thing that could be improved is more staff when checking out, only one staff member on and about five families checking out. But thumps up a lovely restful stay thanks.

We stayed at this hotel over the last long weekend. From the minute we walked into the reception area we were impressed with the décor and the hotel staff professional service. The room was large and the bed and pillows very comfortable. The hotel is in a great position being only a few minutes walk to the shopping area and restaurants. We will certainly stay here again.

We were a party of 7 managers in Tauranga for a conference. The Hotel on Devonport is one of not too many options for executive accommodation, and having stayed at all the others many times, can recommend this site. Professional staff, modern facilities, parking, very good rooms and close to bars and restaurants.

We stayed for two nights. We're very happy with the experience. The size of our room is very generous, the beds are comfortable and the shower is good. The hotel is well located, very close to the restaurants and shops. There are plenty of car parks in the car park building. We really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely choose it again if we're back in Tauranga.

Last minute booking. THe hotel is well located for restaurants for meals. Parking is easy but you are charged for it. They only offer breakfast in your rooms here but there is plenty of eating establishments just down the road. Bedrooms are very nice with every thing you need.
