The facilities, rooms etc are fairly unremarkable, certainly not "five-star". But it is adequate and does the job. However, the spa tub helps make up for it and there is good conscientious service from staff, and parking is convenient. A reasonable stay overall.
Room smelt musty and dirty. There was mould in the bathroom, no shampoo or body wash. Came back after a day at the snow and someone had gone through my luggage. Checked my travel jewelry box and my engagement ring was gone! Confronted the managers and they said I couldn't prove it so would not issue a refund for us leaving early. They female manager ended up yellig at me and my husband. Still going through the Police to try resolve.
Stayed one night on 12th August. Chargrd for snacks which we never used.upon asking lady on phone she was grummpy and not believing that m telling truth ... thats ripping off customers.. motel is already a rundown which i dint enjoy at all. My recommendation never book this motel they gona rip you off for nothing. Come on stop ripping off peoples money
This is about my fourth stay, and this time I brought a friend and had two rooms. My memories were, basic but clean with no frills and great private hot pool. Where to start with all that was wrong, a hole in wall in one if the units, faulty door lock making it difficult to secure unit (unit 1), heater not working (unit 2) - had to use a portable one, noisy guests, chipped mugs and plates, terrible tv reception - sky channels? Maybe one or two, it was hard to tell through the fuzz. single beds were couches that had covers - who knows how many countless butts had sat on them, made up beneath the bedspread before my boys slept on them, hairs that were not mine on pillow. I was embarrassed that I recommended it to my friend and for $160 a night I would have expected better, happy to go more upmarket next time if it secures us a nicer place - oh and weed aromas outside by the bin, guests or staff ? Who knows but someone was smoking and I didn't appreciate it on a family holiday. Hot pool was nice again, but it wasn't enough - we were on holiday, lift your game.
Upon the last motel I had stayed at, my stay at the karaka tree was average. You had to get vouchers for wifi even when stated "free wifi". Parking is very small, the driveway had scraped my exhaust. Surely it should be common sense to not have bricks sticking up especially when your car has suitcases and your family inside a car. Cleaningness wasn't 100%.
Stayed there several times as I consider their ground floor pools among the best ever ! The ground floor pools are located in a private courtyard at the rear of the unit with a sun shade for overhead privacy. The pool is about 1.5 meters deep - far deeper than the usual 750 mm. The seat (over 3/4 of the circumference) is c. 600 mm below the pool lip. IMO these pools are not suitable for children. Read the pool instructions & notes before raising "objections" The units are spacious with 3 beds in 2 rooms. However the decor and fittings are quite dated.
Yes a little tired. But having ur own hot tub in courtyard is magic....which u fill yourself with mineral water. Deep and just devine. 1 bedroom units have hottub in enclosed outside court yard. We pau extra to get this one bedroom as the studios are upstairs and their tubs are inside. Clean and tidy. Well presented but yes a little dated. We love this motel and its our second visit this year....and we are planning on coming back again.
Stayed here a while ago now. We were attending a funeral so stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. We were upstairs and had a massive spa in the back of the room. The cooked breakfast was awesome also. They were happy for us to leave our car a few hours after check out to which was beyond helpful. Happy to recommend.
We were warmly welcomed on arrival and allocated a newly decorated room upstairs which was perfect for us. It was good to have an electric frypan for cooking. The location is excellent and we enjoyed cycling on the nearby paths. Having the spa bath with natural mineral water was a bonus. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Thank you for a delightful stay.
Had an overnight with my 2 young adult daughters and we're a little disappointed in the room. Quite outdated and although clean, it had a dirty feel to the unit. Cute kitchenette with a plug in portable element for cooking, however there was no room for it on the kitchen bench. Only safe place was on the dining room table which needed to be moved in order for the cable to reach the nearest power point. Unit was generally well equipped yet no extra blankets or pillows. Spa was a bonus, despite many loose tiles surrounding it. This place just needs updating and it will be a fabulous place to stay and relax in. Just feels a little unkempt. Hosts were lovely.
