Tathra Beach Shack / Personajes y Vistas Mágicas

Tathra Beach Shack es una de las cabañas originales de Tathra y se encuentra en el promontorio sur con vistas a la playa de Tathra. La cabaña rezuma carácter con pisos de madera originales en toda la sala de estar y chimenea original para mantenerte cómodo por la noche.

Dos de las tres habitaciones tienen camas queen y tienen vistas directas a la playa. El tercer dormitorio tiene dos camas individuales. El dormitorio principal es una gran sala amplia con baño privado y TV.

La cabaña tiene una maravillosa terraza que conecta con la sala de estar que irradia sol y mira directamente a la playa con una barbacoa.

Rodeado de arbustos, ofrece mucha privacidad y cuenta con vistas ininterrumpidas a la playa, por lo que es el lugar ideal para unas vacaciones junto al mar.

Tathra está llena de parques nacionales y reservas, hermosas playas, estuarios vírgenes y ríos. Elige tu deporte acuático: pesca en el río y en alta mar, kayak, surf o simplemente relájate en la hermosa playa de Tathra, que se encuentra a pocos pasos de la casa.

Los parques nacionales ofrecen lagunas seguras para nadar, áreas de picnic y senderos para caminar para satisfacer todos los niveles de condición física. Relájese y disfrute de un café en el café Tathra Wharf: el muelle es uno de los únicos muelles de embarque en la costa este de Australia. Rodent infestation and serious hygiene issues.

We really wanted to love this place, but had some MAJOR hygiene issues throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the place upon arrival was abysmal. There were mouse droppings throughout the kitchen cupboards and over all the cutlery, crockery and drinking mugs. When we went to make up the bed, there was a significant amount of mouse poo under the pillows and on top of the mattress. Our toddler was woken frequently throughout the week as it was likely a mouse was running over her in her sleep. We had to set traps and every morning deal with what we found. Additionally, there were a number of other cleanliness issues (bats inside the house and inappropriate things left lying around by the previous guest) and we ended up having to throw out a large portion of our dry food due to these unhygienic conditions.We were very disappointed with the communication we received from the hosts and had to justify a number of times as to why we were upset. During the stay, they refunded less than 10% of the overall fee but did not compensate for our food losses.Had we not had these issues, it would have been a pleasant stay. The location is superb and the house functional - but this was a very disappointing and frustrating situation to have to deal with on our holiday.

Delightful

We had a great time at the beach shack. This is truly a unique property and I feel very priviledged to have had the opportunity to stay here. The period features of the house are beautiful, and I don't think anyone could get tired of the view. It was the perfect place for us and our dogs to get away for a week. We will be back!

Cosy beach shack in perfect location

We loved our stay at the Tathra Beach Shack! So much character and so close to the beach and with the most amazing views. It has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable too. Best sleeps overlooking the ocean while listening to the waves. The owners Kerry and John are very helpful and easy to communicate with. We arrived late and Kerry waited for us to make sure we find the place in the dark and greeted us with fresh eggs from her chickens and herbs from her garden. We really appreciated that we could bring our dog and he was not only tolerated but most welcomed! Thank you Kerry and John, we will be back!

Gorgeous location and great view

The shack is a shack - an older home but very comfortable and in an amazing location. So close to the beach and village. Host is very quick to get back to you and communication through our stay was very welcoming - tips and advice. Overall fabulous place to stay particularly with our dogs. Host, very relaxed. Home, rustic but very comfortable with sensational views

Old school family beach shack

We had a fabulous time staying here. It’s not flash and nor does it pretend to be. Instead it’s perfect for a comfortable, relaxed holiday with no need to worry if the kids touch things or are loud or the dogs sit on the couch. With amazing views and convenience to both the beach, local shops and the headland you couldn’t ask for a better location in Tathra. Great communication from the owners too. We would love to return again next year.

The name is perfect, it truly is a beach shack, full of character. The location is amazing and access to the beach quick & easy. The owners are so friendly & helpful too. If you’re after modern, this place is not for you. We look forward to another visit one day.

Wonderful stay

Away among the gumtrees

A great view of the beach only a two minute walk to the surf club or bottle shop. Very cosy and comfortable great attmosphere everything we could want. Bowling club great food. Golf club great. Walking fishing swimming all on offer Thanks John & Kerry
