We stayed here, as it was selected as the "hotel of choice" for a family wedding, and it was less than desirable. Air conditioning did not work well, sheets were torn, very thin, and not large enough to tuck in. Cigarette holes in the bedding. Front desk staff were not bilingual during our stay... once in a rare while we would get someone who could speak English in person. We had much better luck calling on the phone and getting someone who spoke English. The valets were young and actually the most helpful of everyone, getting our baggage, getting us taxis, explaining to the taxi drivers where we wanted to go. The breakfast was terrible, and although it's free, don't waste your time going! I set the bar high, so know that when you read this evaluation, but I would never stay again.

Clean, comfortable hotel with some slightly dated decor (particularly their green bathtubs!) but friendly, bilingual staff at the front desk. Even the housekeeper smiled at us! The helpful staff really made the experience. Lots of local eateries nearby (though proficiency in mandarin will be very helpful, particularly in some of the smaller shops). Overall a relaxing and economical stay, with a free shuttle to the airport. [Note: I've read this is only the case for delivery to the airport. If you want airport collection there will be a charge.]

Smack isn't the middle of downtown Taoyuan, which is a sprawling mid-sized city with its own charm, but isn't really a tourist draw. The hotel is a bit dated with sorta tacky decor, but it's very clean and well-run. We had a huge suite with 2 double beds and large living room for about $3500NTD ($110USD). Plenty of cheap and yummy local eateries in walking distance (the Vietnamese place across the street is great) so consider giving the overpriced breakfast ($250 NTD or about $8USD/person) a miss unless it comes as part of your room package. The best part is the free shuttle to the airport (Keep in mind it's only TO the airport that's free. FROM the airport to the hotel runs about $500NTD or $16USD/taxi). Will stay again.

Old hotel. I've stay here like 5 times and the hotel has twice changed the names. The hotel been renovated but still left some rooms with the old style furnished. Overall it's quite convenient due it's location. They have dimsum buffet dinner with cheap price. Across the hotel there's a good barbecue resto.

Overnight stay Nice big room. Seperate badroom. 2 big kingsize beds and one big single bed for 2 adults and one child of 16 years old. So no complain. TV with maybe 2 out of many channels which English. Refrigerator, safe, closet, two chairs, table and no balcony. There was a nice view over Taipei.

This hotel is about 30-mins drive (fast) from Taoyuan International Airport. We stayed here as an overnight transit passenger. We checked in as a group but the process was very fast. We stayed at the transit passenger floor. The first impression on the hallway was that the hotel is old but smell very clean, unlike other old hotel. There are two queen-sized beds, bathtub, electric kettle, flat-screend tv, toilet amenities, hair dryer, soaps, and shampoo. There is an alarm clock embeded on the table size but mine was not working. At night, it was very quiet. The hotel offers free wifi (no need for password) and there are 2 convenience stores just cross the road from the hotel (7-11 and another one i believe is the local brand). There was one food store but when i was there (10 p.m.), it almost closed. The staff was ok but the night shift staff forgot to gave us a wake up call before time, they called us to say your van is ready (did you suppose to wake us first?).

GOOD: · The room was clean with hot shower, shampoo/soap/toothbrush amenities, refrigerator, tea/coffee and drinking water facilities, free wifi, central AC, TV(>30 channels). Safe. · Quick checkin. · Large room with windows. · Free airporttransfer. Not to the hotel. NEUTRAL: · helpful staff, but not too many smiles. · No breakfast included. BAD: · no. CONCLUSIONS: · a good place for staying in relation to the price. Coming back?: TAOYUAN YES; HOTEL: YES.

disgusting, dirty room, sheets had bed bugs, bitten all night. The TV is turned on by a pwer switch as remote is broken. The central air con control on the wall had been ripped out. the extra blanket had not been washed since Jesus was a child. It reminded me of a poor students accommodation. It is also quite far from the airport. may as well check in at Novotel hotel situated next to the airport. If you add in taxi cab fee to the hotel, and the torture, wiser to spend extra at Novotel which had a special rate if u checked in after 6 pm. which i did not know prior to checking in at Pleasant, do not be misled by its location at Taoyuan as on the advert.

We stayed here for a couple of nights--one was for a planned layover from Denpasar-Bali to Honolulu; and the 2nd night because a flight delay due to a big typhoon. The rooms were clean and comfortable, obviously newly renovated. I stayed for a night here back in 2013--I much prefer the bigger, traditionally-decorated room back then. There is a 7-11 and OK (reminiscent of Circle K) just a skip, hop, and a jump away. You can also walk to many other restaurants and shops. The street is very busy during the day and early evening. This is a pleasant hotel to stay in for layovers or business.

This is the best hotel we've stayed during a recent 10 day tour of Taiwan. 2 double beds . Classy decor. Nice Lobby. Its like a 3 star hotel that nears 4 stars. Breakfast is a disappointment though. Mostly congee and condiments, typical of all 9 hotels we stayed in.
