The staff is quite nice but the room was quite dusty. They need to vacuum and clean the bathroom more thoroughly. The following day, we also did not get another set of toiletries and coffee. It's a good hotel for visiting patients in Chang Gung Hospital but otherwise we wouldn't stay here again. Tip: There's a great breakfast / brunch place next door if you can make out what you want. No English menu though.
I have my wedding morning ceremony from Fullon Linkou. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Given all the support to arrange my relatives and friends to stay on the same floor. The room is clean and spacious and easy to get eating house or restaurant in surrounding. Worth for short stays.
This hotel is a reasonable priced and well maintained hotel for the costs charged. Front deck staff is friendly and provides assistance when necessary, especially with information in the local area. Rooms are clean and comfortable. One drawback to western travelers - the bathrooms lack washcloths bar soap. Only soap provided is liquid soap. If you want either or both, bring them yourself in a zip lock bag. The restaurant, however, is a different story. The breakfast as not up to standards with cold food and mediocre selection. The omelet station would be great except, at least my omelet, was oozing with raw egg, very undercooked. Tried room service and no menu was present in room. Went to 2nd Fl restaurant to find out it was closed and the first floor restaurant (where morning breakfast is served) was very underwhelming. Tried to order room service from the menu to discover they charge a 20% service fee (the restaurant is 10%). For a restaurant to turn down business when a full staff is there and no one is present (2 tables were being used), one would think they would try to keep things reasonable to keep the business up (in the seating area or room service). Good place to stay overall, but be prepared to travel outside the hotel if you want better food for a less expensive price.
Clean and neat, However very disappointed with comfort and breakfast. Comfort: A/C doesn't work; you will go to bed with 25.5 °C in your room, put your A/C to blast at 18° and wake up with the same 25° after changing and turning your pillow 12 times during the night because it's soaked. Luckily I went in the cold season so I eventually opted to sleep with the balcony doors open and do my best to ignore the outside noise. Breakfast: options of pork, pork and pork or rabbit food... one does not need to be a Muslim not to eat pork (sensible people won't) but the options for non pork eaters are poor to say the least. For the Western style breakfast you will have the option of bread and egg or bread and jelly. That's it. The Taiwanese breakfast is, as said above.. pork, the chef's recommendation (pork) and pork. This was my third time in Taiwan and I must say that I have had better experiences. Service and friendliness are perfect by the way.
It was really late, and I got a taxi from the airport at 0145 in the morning. I was dropped off outside the Fullon Hotel in Linkou and went inside. There was a note next to the lift saying Lobby on Floor 5….so I went in and went up to Floor 5. When I reached the check in counter and showed the guy behind the counter my booking, he apologized, and said that I was at the wrong Fullon Hotel in Linkou. He said that there were 2 and it was the other one! He rang me a cab, and it arrived in a few minutes and took me the 3 minutes ride to the other Fullon Hotel! They were expecting me and I was checked in and in my room within a 5 minutes. My room was quite large and it was clean, had a big double bed, desk, free wifi, large LCD TV kettle, and clean and well supplied bathroom. There was some complimentary fruit and some bottles of water in the room. It was 0230 and I was finished. I had a Shower and crawled into bed. I didn't hear a thing and slept until 0715 when my alarm (and then an alarm call) woke me up. I ate breakfast in the room (there was a kettle and I made myself a coffee). I checked out at 0850. Overall – Good - not too expensive – clean – I can't remember much more than that (I was only about there for about 6 hours). The pig's ear with the mix up in Hotels was a pain.
Stayed here for two nights in September on a quick visit for work. Nice and clean hotel. Perfect for business trip. Good location and not far from everything I needed. Will definitely stay again if on my own however probably not suitable if I visit with my family.
We only stayed here for one night, this hotel is by far the dirtiest place that I have visited. It is near to the airport and may seem to be a good choice, but the bathroom is covered in mold, stains on the carpets everywhere, nasty smell in the elevator and my colleague had blood stains on his bathroom towels. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, all she said was 'I will inform housekeeping'. Will not go there again...
Stayed there for 2 nights. This is a standard business hotel, mostly for short business travel. The room is spacious, with amenities covering all needs but kind of aged. Location wise it's ok, there are few convenient stores around and couple of restaurants within walking distance.
Service - Very good and profession at the front desk. Cafe/restaurant staff were not as friendly. Location - ~30mins (NT700) by taxi to airport. Walkable distance to hospital area where there are some small restaurants. 5min (NT100) to the outlet mall. Nothing much else nearby. Facilities - Constant shower temperature. Comfortable bed but the noise insulation is terrible. My second night was terrible. Noticed that a tour group from a particular country checked in that evening. What followed was that I was traumatized by women shouting/talking at the top of their voices next door/above/below my room until past midnight! Can't make out where they are staying or it's simply so loud that it is almost like cinematic surround sound. Not pleasant at all. Gotta ask for a room far far away from the groups if possible. Far far away.. Food - Small selection for breakfast in a very small seating area. Walked out for dinner.
You are greeted in the lobby by the stench of cigarettes and mildew. The 100% humidity warps your books and curls any papers. The sheets are slick with moisture wicked from the air. Your room is 25 degrees and the "air conditioning" can bring it down to a steamy 24 :( This is what the Fullon Linkou has fallen to. Four years of the mainland tour trade have broken the hotel physically and spiritually. Simple things like clean the cigarette butts off the balcony or give me two room keys that work appeared to be beyond the realm of possibilities at this hotel. After a sleepless day and night and fruitless conversations with the manager about what a reasonable temperature for the room should be ("20, but we do not run the air conditioning so it can only be 25") we left for greener pastures and a hotel that can better cater to Western travelers.
