This is an absolutely wonderful hotel in every way. The room was lovely and comfortable, and the service was exemplary. It is also in a great location. I recommend the Blanco Riad without any hesitation.
Dinner was outstanding Highly recommended goat with dried figs I didn’t enjoy the cheese crepe with orange sauce Asma and other staff treated us like family Only issue was that the shower is part of the room so we had to leave the room for each one to shower (was going to rate it 4 star because of this)
Lovely place to stay with great service, as others have said. We had a standard double room, which was a bit cramped and only had a small high window. However, it was adequate and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable with nice linens. Breakfast was good, with the typical breads, fresh orange juice, goat cheese, olives, jams and good coffee. Eggs (fried or omelets) were available for a small additional fee. The lobby is gorgeous and a nice place to hang out, except when smokers are out on the patio and the smoke comes into the lobby. Nice patio but weather was a bit rainy and chilly to be out there. Owner, Asma is incredibly helpful, as were the rest of the staff. We ate dinner here two nights and the tagines and accompaniments were delicious, and nicely presented. Only complaint - mushy vegetables.
Beautiful and comfortable Riad, located in the Medina of Tetouan, the ideal place for those who want to visit this beautifu and historical city. Rooms are well decorated and cozy. The breakfast, with tradtional morocco bread, is delicious! Staff couldn't be more kind, attentive and helpful.
Stayed at the hotel for two nights while in Tetouan! Hotel is located just inside the medina. Despite my initial problem with shower facility in my first assigned room, they were able to quickly give me another room. The riad seems very well maintained and the staff there are all courteous and friendly. Hotel breakfast was superb and delicious! The hotel also has nice courtyard that has many tables with parasol! Really found the hotel tranquil and relaxing!
Being from New York and London, and having stayed in Riad Kaiss in Marrakech, we were careful to hope for an authentic Moroccan experience, but with more Spanish influence than in other parts of Morocco (Tetouan being the point of connection between Morocco and Andalusia after the reconquest). Blanco Riad was wonderful -- really, the people there were so warm and helpful that there was no way we were going to miss out on all the beauty that Tetuoan has to offer. We had our four-year-old son with us, and they were great with him, as were the other guests. At Blanco Riad you get the most amazing architectural experience, along with a cultural experience that is in my experience unmatched. Take a few minutes one morning to hike the Jebel Dersa slope to the medical wall -- the view and the experience of the buildings. We met others at Blanco Riad who were similarly thrilled with all that was on offer. We spent a lot of time exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the medina, and we also ate several times at the wonderful cafeteria and restaurant at Blanco Riad. We both had a massage on our last day to prepare us for the journey home -- we are spoiled in this respect at home, but again the experience was of the highest quality. I think this is the highest recommendation I have ever given, and I look forward to going again with other family and friends. I have not described in any detail the things that you will find there in terms of intricate architectural details that the owners have gone to great lengths to preserve and feature...you will be overjoyed to discover them first hand. I'm sure that reviewers who have said you may struggle to find it are right, but if you call Blanco Riad when you arrive, I imagine they would send someone to pick you up on foot -- it is only two minutes' walk from the plaza, where taxis deliver people. We looked at the other riads while we were there -- it is lovely how open and welcoming people are. Still, our hearts were stolen by Blanco Riad -- the building, the people, and the sense of fun.
The Blanco Riad is a stylish and well equipped riad. The guest rooms are very comfortable with first class bathrooms, good air-conditioning, a good internet connection and very comfortable beds. The décor is stylish traditional with a modern finish. But the stand out feature of the Blanco Riad is the restaurant. The food was the best I had in Morocco, tasty, delicious and well presented, It was better than I have eaten at many expensive restaurants in Paris, but surprisingly cheap. I will definitely return to stay here again.
Got a marvellous welcome and were bowled over by the size and style of the room. Food was great and would recommend the goat! If we ever go back to Tetouan we would not look to stay anywhere else. We had worried about finding the place, but one of the staff came and met us where the taxi dropped us.
Everything perfect except for our first room with hat had tiny window. The risk of riad lodging,,, frequently little natural light. We moved to a room with 2 giant windows and were happy. The decor, atmosphere, service are all perfect. Breakfast was lean but they offered gluten free corn bread!! Dinner was excellent and offered a remarkable variety of interesting choices. The cannelloni was gluten free because the wrap was made from eggplant not pasta. Delicious and creative. If you stay here go up on roof.
I didn’t stay at this hotel, but it is one of the only places in the city serving food during the day during Ramadan. They were nice enough to prepare something for me before I boarded a 15-hour bus to the south! Asma recommended the goat tagine, and it was delicious! High level of customer service & a quiet garden terrace.
