This nice hotel just outside the city by the lake is perfect place to stay. There is inside pool and sauna, little gym and restaurant has good food. As usual in Finland, breakfast and Wi-Fi is included. And if you want to have some fresh air the hill by the hotel is just perfect for it.
Stayed over weekend in this hotel. Decision was made due the good deal. Price was in mid range in the Tampere city scale. Hotel is big, a bit old style but interior still ok. Hotel have large reception and restaurant. Also in this hotel is swimming pool, saunas, gym, winter garden and possibility to play squash (probably not many hotels have that). Room was ok. Cons: Did not liked bed, it was way to hard for my back, and no additional pillows in a room. Only 3 stars because strangely the child extra bed was made on the hard floor by using quite thin mattress! It did not looked very comfortable. At night it was noisy, i think it was AC unit on the roof making irritating noise. Plus: Hotel have a large and free parking area, location close to the city, good breakfast, helpful staff.
Hotel was good. Room was quite small and bed extra small. Breakfast was good and hotel was clean and quiet. Check-in and check-out was quick and gift for a child was nice surprice. Bathroom was quite big and clean.
We stayed 3 nights in the hotel. The receptionist was very helpful when we arrived late on Sunday evening to find the bar and restaurant closed. After many hours travelling we had to have a take out pizza delivered to the hotel. Our rooms were adequate - nothing more. I found the numerous hairs on the bathroom floor extremely off putting - and found more attached to the bath towel. Our breakfast was included in the room rate, the buffet was plentiful and varied. The tables were not cleared particularly quickly so it was difficult to find a clean table. Like everything in Finland, drinks at the bar were very expensive. The whole place just didnt appear to be cleaned properly to me, many of the surfaces in public areas were covered in dust. Having said that the staff were friendly and tried hard to answer all queries. It is located out of town, but it was easy to catch a bus which ran every 30 minutes or so. The cost is 3 euros each way but apparently if you use another bus within an hour you simply show your ticket and dont have to pay.
We are a family of five. Lived in a junior suite. It had 2 rooms (seperate bedroom), 2 toilets. Very spacious. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Hotel is situated in a lovely place, but a bit far from the city center.
Stay at this hotel 2 days. Everything is good, but in my room (on the 4-th floor) was too cold! it made me sleep, covered with two blankets. In the room didn't work the temperature control sensor in the room and there were no warm floors. Near hotel situated a wonderful lake. Breakfast was ok.
Spent 3 night at this hotel. Room is adequate but "cold". My room had two single beds with a very strange mattress arrangement. The mattress seems to be built into the bed base and there is a thin upper mattress. Not sure if this is a Finish thing or a Scandic thing. Having said this, the bed was comfortable Another strange thing is the "wet room" style shower. Again strange but functional. Limited TV channels, no coffee maker in my room and the room had not been serviced on day by 5.00pm Breakfast adequate but only filter coffee available.
We did not originally book a room to this location, but due to "some error in the system" we were re-located from another Scandic hotel to this one. We have stayed here once before and knew the place is old-fashioned - we were originally looking for a modern hotel in the center of the city. This hotel is certainly neither of those things. Even though we were not planning to stay here and the location was terrible for our plans, we were given multiple benefits to cover the error in the booking system. The best part in our stay was definately the staff who greeted us and made sure our stay would go as well as it possible could given the circumstances. We had a late dinner in the hotel restaurant which was extremely good and the waiter was extra kind during the evening. However the breakfast was truly poor: the overall quality of the food was bad and all the juices tasted horrible - someone had clearly diluted them with water! This hotel suits for everyone who is not looking for a modern place to stay and is not bothered by the distance to the city center.
Resort near the city centre, easy access to town. Good meeting facilities for different kinds of groups. Lunch arranged smoothly for 150 persons as self service. a good selection of gluten-free products. Private dinner excellent.
The hotel is deceant and fairly clean. You are surrounded by seventies glamour. Smell of sewer was pretty overwhelming in the lavatory. Hotel is nice to stay and staff was friendly, but the price is too high compared to what you get. Also far from city centre. On the other hand the surrounding nature is good for those who enjoy more relaxed seventies atmosphere.
