Room was beautiful. Property was amazingI bit of a hike of stairs are hard.The loft might be a bit scary for little kids but mine (over 8) loved it.Check in was a bit hard to find for our driver and they didn’t have our ids so I had to show them again but otherwise everything was great.

Great quick communication with host. Condo was perfect size for our family and excellent location right in the heart of downtown. Kids loved the pool, learned to surf with Joshua booked right at El Diria, which was also the perfect spot to grab cocktails and watch sunsets. We walked everywhere, didn’t need to touch the car our entire stay. Still, our favorite part was the tree right outside the balcony which was filled with howler monkeys, iguanas, various birds and dragon flies. The balcony was perfectly private, tucked away at the end of the building and an incredibly peaceful way to have your morning coffee while enjoying the pura vida!

We had a great vacation in Costa Rica. It was our third visit to Tamarindo and second to El Diria. The property is excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed the giant pool, wildlife and walks on the beach. Our unit was in the older building. It was vey clean and well-kept. The back bathroom had a lack of hot water and the washer & dryer were unreliable. There also was no closets in the back bedroom and loft.

We loved staying in this condo! beautiful grounds. The host was very welcoming, gave us all the information we needed. We had a very small issue with one of the shower heads and they rectified it the same day. We would definitely stay here again!

Great communication by our host! Lovely condo and great community.
Amazing view from condo!
There is a family of monkeys with 2 babies on the tree right outside the unit!! The downside is you need earplugs in the morning when they start howling. But totally worth it for the cuteness factor!!

The reason we rated this 3 stars, is because it is part of Diria Resort, a very nice and well kept resort. The huge lagoon pool that you are able to use is perfect, and the resort location is right in town, and across the street from the beach. The unit itself needs work, two of the three showers were a nightmare. The master bathroom shower handle fell off every time we tried to turn it on. The Bule Zone company was responsive, but the men who came to fix it did nothing to help. The second shower head didn't put out any water. The unit is musty smelling, and the AC works well in the main section, but the bedroom doors had to stay open, or you couldn't deal with the warm temps in the rooms. The sliding doors to the balcony are not well maintained, and the screen doors are not worth trying to use them. The worst part of all, is that the workers tell you that this is a three story walk up. NOT from the ground level where the pool, and the road is, it's 92 steps, or 7 stories up. Once you come out of the condo for the day, you aren't walking all the way back up there without good reason. Blue Zone was good at setting up airport shuttle, and seemed to offer a lot of different tours. Tamarindo is lovely, very safe, but more expensive due to so many tourists now invading the area. The people of Costa Rica are a pure delight.

The stay would have been perfect if it wasn’t for the inconvenience caused. There was construction work being done on the property with workers starting at 7:30 am throughout the day. Workers were banging, drilling and hammering loudly. The work was directly outside the balcony with workers walking, looking in and talking to one another. There was no privacy and no relaxation. Highly disappointed as this was supposed to be a recharging weekend for me and my family.

A little slice of Heaven

We love Costa Rica but this experience was top notch - the host emailed all of the check in instructions days prior to arrival which I really appreciated. Upon arrival I was confused and emailed them (on a Sunday) and was surprised by the extremely prompt reply. I realized hten that I had misread the instructions but that set the tone for a high touch experience. From arrival to departure we felt the high level of service and it really made our vacation. We can't wait to book again! This unit comes complete with an animal show lol. The howler monkeys were right outside our balcony every morning and it was a real treat. Thank you for everything!

Very nice, spacious condo in an excellent location.

Property is set back from the noise and activity on the beach but just a quick walk to it. Nice pool and patio near the condo and wonderful beachfront lawn and restaurant, ideal for watching the sunset.Denisse was very responsive and helpful. We also scheduled the day trip to Arenal Volcano and the hanging bridges and hot springs and that was great as well.

Great stay!

Great stay at Diria. The balaciny provides awesome views of the ocean, the sunset and the main pool which is lit beautifully at night. The monkeys were in the trees right next to our balcony which were fun to watch as well. The condo had everything we needed for the 5 of us. Nice to have 3 bathrooms. Great stay!

Excellent location

Absolutely gorgeous resort. Incredible location, close to beach and shops, in the heart of the city but this unit felt private and secluded. Great end unit with spectacular views and set back enough that it was quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again for sure!

Great stay

The property was perfect for our family of four (two teenagers) as everyone had their own room. The location was excellent within walking distance to everything (rarely needed car). We had a couple of minor incidents requiring management who were accessible, fast acting, and delivered on promises. Overall I would say the stay exceeded expectations. Some negative reviews on this property caused some concern but after staying here I would stay again with no problem. The only negative is the stairs. The condo sits above the street plus stairs. We are in average shape and it was taxing after a few days. If you are overweight, older, or have some disability this may be of concern. Otherwise, this unit is great. Monkeys right off the balcony almost every day!
