This facility is relatively new, clean, well maintained and staffed. It's comparable to a Holiday Inn Express with better food. The restaurant on site is very very good; do dine in. It is very well located. On weekends expect to see a lot of Scandinavians partying. Fun!

I was on a business trip with a colleague and we were unable to bring our flight forward due to poor service from our tour agent. We choose the Metropole on price as it was just for one night and is near to the old part of Tallinn. Rooms are very basic, but were clean. The room and corridors were quite tired and are in need of refurbishment, but at 48 Euros night not too bad. Location was good. Breakfast standard european type.

I was given an unexpected upgrade to a junior suite with a sauna, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, ditto for the bathroom and toiletries. The metro stop from the airport is 150 m away and a supermarket is just in front of that. The hotel is in the trendy Rottermann district and also walking distance from the historical centre. Staff are helpful. The hotel definitely ticks all the relevant boxes. A definite recommendation.

Efficient, clean, updated room/spacious room & bath, heated tiles in bath, wooden floors in rooms (better), 5 minutes on foot to old town, grocery, bus/tram to main central bus/train stations. Good restaurant for dinner, fast service, had pasta with chicken was delicious and inexpensive. Breakfast was good selection had porridge and fish healthy fruit/veg. Staff fast smiling helpful patient with directions. If any complaint in room maintenance is quick. Bed was comfy (best wish I could find it in US). Hotel area was safe modern outside the wall (Old Town) but there was a construction just in front of my room but I am not there during the day, so did not bother me. Had single room, satisfied. Shower was a bit dark but no big deal because I am solo just open the curtain (a bit dated). Guest: Evelyn D. Sept 2017

Very convenient location between harbour and city centre/old town. Fast, friendly and efficient check in/out. Spacious rooms and bathroom. Very comfortable beds, nice crisp 100% cotton sheets. Very clean premises. Heated floor in bathroom. Try to get an upper floor room facing the old town for great views. Good black out curtains. Windows can be opened and fresh air renovation system ensured a good night's sleep. Proper place for hanging and storing your clothes. There is even writing paper, envelopes, pen and note pad! Nowadays this is a rare find, hardly available even in 5 star hotels!. Fridge to store your own drinks, fruits, etc. Everything that you may need (shops, restaurants, main local bus station, etc) is at a few minutes walking distance. There is construction work going on outside (new hotel), that will be over in a few months, but noise did not disturb at all. Contrary to other hotels, breakfast had a "home-made" taste and was correct. At peak times, if the hotel is full, it may be difficult to find an empty table, but staff work hard replenishing the buffet and cleaning up tables, so no complaints about that. Wifi worked very well. While not really a problem for me, it would be nice to have an in-room safe box. This service is offered at reception. To sum up: a very good quality tourist class hotel, offering excellent value for money. Will definitely return!

3 star Hotel Metropol Tallinn is very delightful for its location (most important business and sightseeing spots are within 10 minutes walking) and options provided to the guests. The hotel has own massage room, hairdressing saloon, gim,restaurant...Well, it is rather beautyful as well...around the reception. When you actually come to the room, you actually will notice rather fresh (new) beds, good TV,rather cheap renovation (with some minor problems). What is really nice - all rooms are really well planned and spacious and quiet. All rooms are very clean.Same with the bathroom. Unfortunately I was badly surprised with the window-it was impossible (technically!) to open it.And no ventilation or condition provided....As it was found, part of the room are located like in atrium and these rooms have no option to open the window. Not good overall idea. But as soon as we were not informed about this inconvinience, the hotel staff changed our room to one with the normal window. Some rooms have own sauna, that may be a nice addition.Nice touch! Unfortunately,as I noticed, rooms are not equipped with the power socket near the beds, that is rather inconvenient. Overall impression - rather good mid-range 3 star hotell with lots of space for improvments. The staff is well trained and polite.Rooms are really spacious and clean. Overall price is affordable. Hotel has a car parking nearby for 8 Eur per 24hours,as well as couple of own parking places for free to hotel guests, but you should be lucky to get one place :) Recommended for short business trips mostly.

Very conveniently located in the Rottermanni quarter right next to the old town. A sauna is built into the bathroom which is a good addendum. Breakfast buffet has some nordic style - 4 types of herring available! Almost no pastries at the same time (. What was certainly disappointing - the wifi signal in the room. From poor to very poor most of time.

Our room had no window that opened and no extractor fan in the bathroom meaning we never got any fresh air in the room at all. Tried to spend as little as possible in the rooms because of this. The shower just consisted of a small corner with a curtain meaning water went everywhere when someone used it and as there wernt a fan, the bathroom was like a steam room after every shower. Continental breakfast available but did not seem fresh and only bothered going down once out of the 3 days I was there. There was hardly any point paying for breakfast in the first place considering anyone can just walk in there and sit on any table. There is no waiter service just someone who clears all the plates and cups up. On the plus side, the beds were comfy, the shower was powerful, food was nice at dinner and the hotel is in a good location, however if I was to return to Tallinn in the future, I would probably look somewhere else.

Room was ok, empty minibar was working nonstop and caused terrible noise, so I switched it off. The breakfast was good enough with a lot of choices. It is a good place for a good price, and in few minutes walking from the old town.

This hotel locates near the harbor and the old town. At this moment there is a big construction area just next to the hotel. Our room was nice and clean, but the noise and a view of the highway in front of our window was little bit disturbing. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast that we have ever had (juice was watery and sugary, vegetables were not fresh, cold food that was supposed to be warm, narrow selection of bread and other foodstuff, cheap choices of foodstuff etc.). We wouldn't visit again.
