Perhaps the hotel will be nice when the renovations are complete. Staff was not very friendly or apologetic. Some of the construction people were staying at the hotel and were smoking and drinking in the pool and left beer bottles and dumped hot coals. Somewhat noisy from the construction. One of the two nights no hot breakfast. There were no hair dryers.
There was a lot of dust in my room - I'm wondering if it hadn't been used in a while. The breakfast was very nice.
I liked the cleaniness of the entire facility. The desk staff was responsive and helpful.

The rooms and general hotel were clean and very comfortable. The treadmills are very outdated- for a brand new hotel, they cheaped out and got very old (circa 80's) treadmills.
We really enjoyed this hotel from the evening happy hour to the morning breakfast. We may need to switch from Choice Hotels.
We come ever year to Steinhatchee for scallops season. We drive to Perry and stay there. Because how clean it is.
Perfect place to spend the night passing through Perry. I love taking the scenic route and avoid highways whenever possible, so I was well familiar with the area as the intersection of US 98 and 19. HI Express has become my go-to chain, primarily because of my experience here.

This Hotel stop was not planned,we were tired of driving pulled in and found the hotel friendly clean and comfortable stay and a surprise Happy Hour!. We will consider staying here again.
Well located. All the amenities of a big city hotel.
I got to the hotel at midnight, after a long day of work and 5 hours of driving. Check-in was as smooth as it can get, probably too smooth and now I know the reason why. Even though I handed the front desk clerk my credit card and driver’s license, he took a quick pick of it and gave them back to me along with the room keys (cards) When I get to my room a realized I had the wrong type of room but I was too tired to complaint and it was way too late for that and tried to be nice to the guys working so late down stairs, I just wanted to take a shower and go to bed. I finally went to bed around 1:30am to my surprise the extremely loud and noisy telephone started ringing like crazy at 7am and I woke up disoriented with a bright white strobe light on my face coming also from the top of the telephone, so after a bunch of rings and I put myself together picked up the phone, it was from the front desk. They made a mistake and checked me in for someone else, now I understood why I had the wrong type of room and I wasn’t surprised, the guy at the front desk didn’t even bothered to take a good look at my name when I gave him my driver’s license, and trust me, my name is not an easy one to get confused by, I highly doubt there was someone else in the entire Holiday Inn system with the same name with a reservation yesterday. Bottom line, I know anyone can make a mistake, but I don’t have to pay for it, my heart almost jumped out of chest when the loud ring started going off, especially when I was so tired and was trying to get a good night sleep. This is not the way to do things professionally, they could wait for me to check out or at least make the horrible phone call a couple hours later after knowing that I got to the hotel so late the night before. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!!
I along with my family had a very pleasant stay st the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites. We will be staying at the same hotel when we take our next next trip to Perry.
Hotel is very nice and clean. Comfy beds and large bathrooms. Breakfast was included. Great deal for the money.
the king size bed was very comfortable. the pillows were great too because they were labeled with their firmness. the eployees were exceptionally nice too.

The hotel is fairly new and is very nice. The only issue we had was there was a bad storm that knocked out the power. The generators provided lights, but the air was out for about three hours. It got pretty stuffy in our room. Like most hotels, the walls are pretty thin and we could hear small kids in the room next to us. Other than that, the staff was great, a small breakfast bar is provided and the place is very nicely decorated. Great value in my opinion.
