would not regret to book the villa with pool! It's a pearl in Taitung. It was an enjoyable stay as the service was almost flawless. Although there is some wear and tear but was still nicely upkeep. The western restaurant was great with wide spread of air-conditioned sunshine room and variety choices of local food. The location was perfect for bicycling in the most scenic area of Taiwan island.
Its a great hotel equipped with high class amenities.. Its a relaxing hotel to stay. We are lucky to have the pool on our window and see the peaceful and relaxing view.Though its raining when we went to the pool, we still managed to enjoy the rain..
Friendly service with nice facilities. Room is big and clean. You can easily use outdoor heat pool and enjoy the sky. English is ok standard for communication. They also provide rental bike and can easily spend one day somewhere around.
早餐超好吃 Breakfast is very tasty. 房間泳池需修繕 Swimming pool in the room should be fixed. 客廳傢俱覺得舊舊的 不確定乾不乾淨 Furniture in the room a little bit old, I'm not sure is clean or not. 溫泉浴缸很舒服 如果有加裝扶手會比較適合長輩 Bath room is good, I love the hot spring. If the safety equipment can make more, good for older people. 腳踏車租借時間好像只有白天 下車時就先租機車比較方便 Bike rent store close early, you can rent motorbike from train station. 大致上覺得很喜歡 下次還會想去 I like here, I will come back next time.
I spent a week over Winter Break at this fabulous hotel. An American I relished the delicious Western buffet: prime rib was perfect! The draft beer at dinner was nice too. I enjoyed shrimp cocktail, wonderful salad, really good bread (not sweet since I didn't want that) and marvelous gelato in a variety of flavors. I loved the pools, the spa, riding a bike into the village, walking the beautiful gardens, and of course the gorgeous room looking out on the mountains and the pools. Thank you for a delightful relaxing trip.
Our coach only reached the hotel in the night and left the next morning after breakfast. Though we can see that the hotel is rather big, we do not have the time to explore the hotel much. But we had quite a bit of fun in the spa pools. The hotel was surprisingly big. Room was big, clean and tidy. After checking in, changing into our swim wears, we left for the spa pools. A bit strange though that the pools are in another building which is not connected with the main buildings. So we had to walk on the open compound(about 3 mins). I would suggest that a covered link way to be built so that customers could walk on proper pavements and not under sun or in cold winds. There were a few pools to choose from and a pool full of balls for the kids. That was rather fun. There is also a room to play table tennis, a gym and a kids playroom. There may be other activity rooms but we did not have much time. The breakfast had a rather big spread. Overall, I like the place and if possible, I would stay for at least 2 nights to get the value out of this hotel.
First up; the Papago International Resort makes for a great base to explore some stunning countryside, some of the best in Taiwan. Also, around the hotel there are paths, cycle-paths and walks through deserted fields, an old zoo, an old encampment and a theme park with gardens and rice mills. Coming here in winter is advised, so as to have a fantastic location to yourself. Hire a bicycle at the front of the resort and explore. It will be worth it. As for the resort, we've been here three times now and it is clear that they are cutting back on services. It is not very international. This could be improved by having a senior member of staff to marshall the younger giggly ones. There was the feeling the place was run by teenagers who could not score a job in 7-11. The villas and rooms are fine and the staff friendly, but.... and it is a big but.... the buffet dinner is abysmal. I eat out a lot in Taiwan, but the insipid, cold slops and tepid meat really was cheap and nasty for an international resort. There was little decent choice. The breakfast was worse, including foul coffee. Such a let down. Be warned! The resort supposedly has a bar, but it never seems to open. Having a bar/lounge as a family-friendly place in the hotel would be good and would also serve to bring the resort up to global standards. The shop has been reduced in size. And the kids were annoyed that the two arcade games rooms had been removed. They have space for a great games floor, but no imagination is being employed. Everything seems to have gone on the cheap. Perhaps Papago are in financial trouble. This place could be brilliant - the owners just need to up their game, show some business acumen and understanding of the resort trade and also move on from a place run by teens.
Papago International Resort is the most convenient hotel in Chishang, Taitung County. Its price may not be too friendly, but its location is very ideal. In the vicinity, there are all-season floral farms, boulevards lined with breath-taking rice-paddy fields (autumn), and a variety of cheap eats. I've been here with my family many times. Although there's no need for us to stay for a night (as we are locals), I still highly recommend people, whether you're just stopping by or plan to stay in town, to pay a visit.
It was an unforgettable experience staying in this 5-Star Hot Spring Resort during my vacation in late Dec of 2015, free shuttle bus that to pick us up/send us from/to Train Station, nice food that you are gonna love it as much as we did, great Mountain View surrounded this resort that you could not wait anymore to capture with your DSLR.
Great choice! Use it all: hot outdoor pool in a cool weather, in-room Japanese style hot tab for 2 with the view, excellent buffet with beer, bike rent and- the most important- amazing rice fields and sight-seeing areas around!
