The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei

Airport bus right in front of hotel. 2 blocks to subway/train station and upscale shopping mall/fantastic Resaturant. Hotel is nice, but a little dated. Resaturant buffet is reasonbly priced, fresh and delicious. Room size is good and is clean. Highly recommend at least the junior suite. The view is spectacular, with lots of pauses (complimentary daily 2 Hr conference room use with advanced reservation, lounge drinks)

I stayed for 13 days on a recent vacation. The location is central to many attractions important to me. Walking distance to many eateries too. The room is clean and comfortable. A few spot on the carpet wee noticeable but overall cleanliness is good. I used fitness center and one of the in hotel restaurant. They were pretty good. I would recommend this place to visitors of Taipei who is looking for a great location.

I travel a lot to different country to different city This is one of the best hotel ever that I stay Staffs here going their extra extra steps to make my stay a comfortable pleasant stay Whenever I travel in Taipei This is the only place I'll stay I want to specially thank Mr. Chen the manager from the front desk on the night of 12/16 went extra steps to make sure I'm comfortable with where I'd be Thank you

The hotel was easily accessible from the airport. The location was quiet, yet close to buses and the subway. My room was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Close to Taipei 101, New York movie rheatres, & orther famous spot. Mgment is excellent.

Service and staff excellent.perfect for my 5 day stay

I stayed in this place 30 years ago. This was my second visit. The decoration showed some age but still pleasing. My room was fine but my daughter's room had issue with mold in sink. Staff was quick to scrub them off but it showed lack of self-inspection. I would recommend this place to my friends. The location was great. Close to everything I liked about Taipei. The shopping on site was also great. Be sure to visit the store that sells unique tea pots in basement.

I had a short at the Howard Plaza, I arrived directly from the airport on the airport bus. Check in took only 2 minutes. The room was very comfortable, the size as acceptable for a single person. The bathroom was well appointed. I did the Asian breakfast which was nothing out of the ordinary but suited my requirements.

Hotel was elegant and the staff were very helpful. It was well appointed and comfortable.

The hotel is slightly dated. The best days of the hotel are clearly behind it. The buffet breakfast is good and the location is convenient, though.

Howard plaza hotel Taipei really exceeded all of my expectations from the room to the dining options, check in and cheek out procedures. All the staff speak very good English which is not that easy to come by in Taipei which is not an English speaking city to begin with .

This was our favorite hotel in Taipei. Great location, airport bus stops at doorstep, subway station is 5 minutes walking distance. Good value for 5 stars hotel(4stars in American standard). Room was clean and comfortable, service was wonderful. The restaurant at the basement serves the best Taiwanese food in Taipei. The decoration is 60's,need major renovation. Free Wi Fi only in lobby not in the room.

good location to subway station and bus station to airport. also walking distance to shopping places and restaurants. the hotel is bit old and needs to upgrade. the room is also small. however, the restaurants in the hotel are good.

Stayed there for a couple nights with my wife. Excellent location, convenient to MRT and lots of good restaurants. Staff was helpful and able to understand English.

the hotel is located ideally in Taipei so you can take a bus from or to the airport or use the hotel shuttle and the taxi services from the hotel to customer locations will not break the bank either.

The bathroom tiles were moldy. The floor of the bathroom was very old & stained. The toilet was hard to flush. Otherwise it's close to transportation & convenient stores.

When we visited this hotel, there was a strong smell that was just awful.

Very clean and updated rooms. You truly get what you paid for with this hotel.

Disclaimer: I do not like noise. So... most people would not complain about the following: My only complaint about this hotel is the noise. The staff slammed the doors over and over as they went from room to room in the morning, and they did the same in the early evening. This would be no problem if you are not sleeping late or taking a late nap to recharge for the evening. The inner rooms also face into the center of the hotel and over look a restaraunt that has a piano player/singer on some evenings which again is no problem if you are not going to sleep before 10PM. One side of the hotel faces the metro tracks which may have been worse. Everything else was great and I would stay here again even though the noise irritated me.

We had stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past, and had always enjoyed its convenient location and comfortable amenities. This time the hotel was undergoing renovation, and thus it was rather noisy during the day hours, and paint smell would occasionally get into the air-conditioning system. Overall we had a good week of stay.
