I came to Taipei to sit for an exam. I chose this hotel because of its convenient location. The hotel was quiet, the room was clean, and the staff members were kind and helpful. I was able to study in preparation for my exam and sleep well. I would certainly recommend this hotel for its great location and quiet rooms.

This is a small hotel, tuck away near the finance section of the town. Bus stops are near by, and about 1/2 mile from subways. I like the quietness of the room. It is clean and comfortable. It is like a personal sanctuary after a day of activities, specially from Taiwan's hot summer. Room is not big, but enough for us to get comfortable. We had stayed here before. If you can score free breakfast, it is worth it.

Taipei 101 is not only the landmark but in the center of the growing financial center in Taipei. With several conference facilities being just short ride away hotel HD palace is great value for the price.

The hotel in general is of good value. The front desk staff - Michael, Jonny and Arthur were exceptional as well as the kitchen and cleaning staff. Very accommodating and helpful. But be careful with the general manager - don't set drinks on the coffee table at the lobby. She will ask you not to do that because it is a very expensive coffee table. She also asked my 5 years old niece not to disturb the musician while performing in the lobby when the only thing my niece did was standing around watching how a Chinese guitar was played. There were words exchanged between the manager and one of our family members who thought the manager had inappropriate behavior. Other than that, it has been a great stay at the hotel.

The hotel is located in central part of the city, making it highly accessible from various parts of town. The rooms are generously spacious, clean, and comfortable for short or long term stays.

Not my first visit to Taipei and, I hope, would not be the last. Hotel HD Palace served as great hub for my work and starting point for walks to night market and 101 Building. Plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood offer great choice for your culinary exploration. Breakfast in the hotel always fresh and interesting.

I booked this hotel on a work trip for which I needed to be close to Taipei 101. My colleagues were staying at the W for over $300 US per night (no b fast incuded). In addition, for being a relatively cheap city to eat and get around, Taipei's western branded hotels are not cheap at all and range from $200-350 per night which is no cheaper than HK, Tokyo or Singapore. I chose to save the company some cash and stay at the HD because quite frankly I'm not impressed with the W brand and I think it is an insane waste of money. What I got at the HD Palace Hotel was simply spectacular business hotel service, a great breakfast, perfect sleep which allowed me to knock my presentation out of the park. And I paid nearly 1/5 of the price of my colleagues. Will I stay here again, absolutely this is my hotel of choice in Taipei from now on. Thanks HD!

Nice location, excellent staff, comfortable stay and good value - everything we needed for the weekend getaway.

I stayed in Taipei alone for 5 days, and the Hotel HD Palace was an excellent experience on all accounts. The room: I had a fairly standard room as far as I'm aware - large bed, bathroom with shower and tub, and a fair amount of extra space. Most importantly, the room was extremely clean. Location: MRT is about a 5 minute walk away (Liuzhangli Station). Taipei 101 is walkable if you're willing to take a longer walk, and large roads like Xinyi and Renai are nearby. There's a night market (Linjiang or Tonghua) about a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, which is very convenient. Service: The staff went above and beyond to help me out and help me. They were knowledgeable about the area and its attractions, and always willing to find out any information I needed. The staff got an A+, and are the primary reason I plan to stay here again on my next trip to Taipei. Facilities: Breakfast was good, nothing special but filling and with a good selection of Western food. The 24-hour coffee and espresso available in the lobby was an excellent asset. Overall: Excellent experience, with such a good service and location that I will stay here on my next trip to Taipei.

This is a great hotel that gives you value for money in the expensive Daan district of Taipei. It is within walking distance to the night market. There is a reasonable selection for breakfast but I like the expresso machine with fresh frothing milk best of all.The massage shower in the bathroom is also great. The only small issue is - the reception is on the second floor, and there is no staff on the ground floor (unlike other fancy hotels) to greet you and help you with your luggage when you first get there from the street. The staff are very polite and helpful though.
