We had a 24 hour layover until our next flight and wanted to be in Taipei so we could walk around the city. It was about a 15 minute cab ride from the station. Accomodations fit our needs.

I've stayed at quite of few of the Beauty Hotel chain in Taipei. This one has the best potential to be a real gem, but there are serious problems with the management and service procedure. The front desk pretty much exudes animosity towards its guests, which is rare in Taipei as it's quite a service oriented city. This extends to the housekeeping staff as well. This hotel also offers a nice breakfast spread, but the noise from the restaurant staff in the morning is quite unbearable, like there are no guests at all. They will talk and shout in their loudest voices as if no one else is around, while all the guests are being quiet as it's a breakfast, not a street market. I believe this is all correctable if the upper management realizes that this particular location's on-site management is causing them harm in the reputation of the whole chain.
It is a very good experience to stay here. I got really great feeling at the front dest. Staffs are very helpful and nice. The room is bigger than I thought. Most of all, breakfast is delicious and has variety choices. The only shortcoming is a little bit far from the MRT station.
I was staying in this hotel for 5 days. Hotel is not so big but very quite and comfortable. The staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Service is great. Everything in this hotel was nice, but I have little problem with Wi-Fi connection on my 7th floor. The Internet was very slow and the connection was not stable.

The hotel is nice and clean. The location is good. It's near to many major attractions. It is not on a major street. Finding it could take a little work unless you are on a cab or know the area. It is a very good value.
