Can’t wait to checkout

The hotel overall is not clean at all. They don’t maintain it well, but I see they do something remodeling on some of the rooms and floors. Hopefully it get better. The worst part is non smoking but I think someone still smoke and with poor air conditioning systems you can literally smell the cigarette in your room. So bad that your clothes and even your body smell like one. It was horrible. Good thing I only stayed for 1 night. Can’t wait to checkout.

Some rooms have more tv channels than others and they have a nasty smell that drifts in from certain sides of the buildings open windows, but they do have a washer and dryer on the 7th floor balcony and the maid doesn't bother you.

The place is good but all over hotel are place with Tip Jars. The Staff are nice but the bed wasn't too clean. We have the staff changed the sheet right away. Overall its just ok!

Warm and comfortable best describes my experience here. There’s a certain ‘old worldly charm’ about this hotel. The staff speak no English yet we were able to communicate easily and effectively. They even found me a kettle for my caffeine habit. My room was a good size with ample hanging robe space and decent bathroom with a deep soak tub. Nothing is new here, but it’s all very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is a voucher for the next door eatery which is only open in the mornings. A good quality and selection of local styled food. This place is not geared for the Western/Euro tourist which is what makes it fantastic. Is good for families too. Location is central and you can walk to everywhere within 15 to 20 minutes.

We did not encounter any problem in our 2-night stay. From check-in to room facilities, all went smooth. This is one of the many old-type (not modern) hotels maybe >25yrs ago in the old part of the city but I must say, overall well maintained and not run down. The reception people were warm and welcoming. Ready to serve. Many complimentary extras come with the room including certain canned drinks at the counter and lovely machine prepared coffee (!), car parking, bicycle use, laundry machine, drinking water refill and breakfast which was served next door with adequate breakfast menu to choose from and sufficient breakfast coupon. A number of eateries and mini marts are within short walking distance. The room size is adequate for two, not too small. I guess it depends on the price that one pays for the room such that if you pay say, <1000NTD per night, overall its a "Wow", between 1000 to 1300NTD, it's medium to good value. Above that, one may say that, room size is too small, not modern hotel, etc.

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel was rather run down and although listed as non-smoking, it was also a "love hotel" and other patrons were smoking regularly in corridors and rooms, as our room smelled of smoke all the time. I did get bed bug bites on my legs two days after staying here so can't be sure that it was this place or the next place we stayed, as they take some time to show up on me.

Comfortable hotel with friendly staff

The hotel is reasonably priced and the rooms are comfortable. It's nearby a famous night market "Garden Flower Night Market" and other tourist attractions. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly providing tips for tourist attractions and transportation. I would book this hotel again next time I travel to Tainan.

Location is very good

The hotel is very old but location is very good. Many restaurants and local food are in walking distance, it's not closed until 12:00 pm. You don't worry about what to eat if you stay here. The hotel also provide bicycle to customer for free riding, it's very convenient to surf these old streets that around the hotel. If you drive here, don't worry, hotel also provide parking lot for free.

Great service, price but very smoky

The staff could not have been kinder and more generous to us. The hotel does seem to be a smoking hotel. The hotel itself is great for budget, fairly spacious rooms, cable, wifi etc but definitely a love hotel though didn't impact us a great deal.

Great Value and good location

The hotel was wasn't too far from tourist attractions but it wasn't that close either. Got plenty of exercise walking from one place to another. The signs in the elevator are for room rentals by the hour. What does that tell you about the hotel? There seem to be a few young backpack traveler types staying at the hotel. Great breakfasts which were included.

Not bad for a love hotel

This is a love hotel. There are hourly rates and porn channels. The room has no drawers. It was not cleaned daily. There was not enough TP. When replaced, we were given a quarter of a roll. The internet was terrible. It was noisy, with many kids, running water and airplanes. Room was clean, breakfast was delicious. Location was fine.
