Convenient location to major tourist attractions and to shopping. However, the hallway had a very strange odor, which was noticed by everyone in our travel group (also in my previous stay at this hotel). Also, the bathroom has a funky layout, with toilet essentially open to the bedroom/sleeping area. There is an unsuccessfully attempt to separate the spaces with a flimsy sliding door, which does very little to block the noise and occasional smell from the toilet. You can basically hear and sometimes smell the activities from the toilet while lying in bed. Check in staff was very friendly, the bell boys were very helpful and attentive, but concierge wasn’t much of help. Every time we inquired, they ran out of maps and other stuff, making them unable to effectively provide us with any helps.
Excellent location, spacious and clean room, friendly staffs, great breakfast- both western and eastern styles. Local food streets are within 5-10 minutes walking. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Will definitely recommend and return.

Built in 2014, the brand new Silks Place Tainan offers an outdoor pool, a fitness center, and free WiFi in public areas. There's limited parking and an airport shuttle for a fee. The front desk is staffed 24/7 to help with concierge services, luggage storage, and dry cleaning/laundry. Other amenities at this luxury hotel include conference space, a business center, and a free kid's club.
