Returned here after 2 years, as arranged by my industry sponsor - (1) Location - the hotel is located in the west Xitun neighbourhood, a little away from the centre of things. In summer, you would need to hail a cab to get to town 2km away or risk sweating buckets. I find this geographic feature the single negative point in an otherwise fine hotel (2) Reception & Concierge - Excellent and efficient. A few minutes at the desk while your team lounges on the provided sofas in the lobby. (3) Rooms are done well. Clean and bright. Large windowed walls. Luxuriously done-up bathroom with a large window, bathtub and a TV. Do draw the blinds when using. (4) Food was satisfactory during breakfast as well as during room service. We had a private dinner-meeting session at the Zhe Abalone Restaurant and found it good.

Visited the Lounge on the 8th floor, Nice place to relax and enjoy a drink before a movie... Be careful, the bar stools are very high. The drinks are a nice size for the money and was given a 10 % discount when paying

Incredibly quick check in, great views from the top floors, very nice bathrooms, very clean and the property has been kept up. The breakfast buffet is top notch with a wide variety of asian and western fare.

Overall is good. Is just that the furniture in the room looks old and worn. McDonald and Starbuck are just next door. But I have to walk about 10 mins to reach others busy streets with many other choices of food.

We stayed at executive room and it was quite big. The service was good and they are very helpfull. What I like the most is the breakfast menu. I can find varieties of eastern and western food. We stayed there for 2 nights and we even haven't tried all the food there. The location also quite strategic.

I have stayed here many times on my own for business & it has been good - So I decided to stay here with my family Mom Dad & 2 girls - We booked a suite same as what we did in Taipei & Manilla only to get to the room to find that there was only one bed so I called up & they said that we would have to pay extra for the two beds for the girls - I was not happy as they had our online reservation with the kids on it & they did not say we would have to pay extra till we arrived - in the end they put beds in for the girls then wanted to charge us for towels - Not sure what they are trying to achieve but it left me not happy. Then on the last day about 6.00 am I called down to get the bags collected - took me a good while to get the guy to understand what I wanted then her said it would be over 10 minutes - We took the bags down ourselves to find that there was only the one person at reception trying to do everything. No foam pillows available only really soft feather. Not really worth the star rating - I think I look back & can see that as I am normally on my own I would not have these issues. On a positive great cocktails in Rear Bar & the Japanese restaurant is really good

Recently I spent several days at the Windsor in Taichung. The hotel is really quite nice. Staff are attentive, polite and efficient. The foods in breakfast buffet and the steak house were excellent. The bar was comfortable and the entertainment, a jazz singer, was a nice way to go to wind down after a tough day. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Taichung. The fitness room, as compared to other hotels, was good.

Although we thought the hotel was very good, good service, well appointed, good breakfast buffet etc when we arrived the girls at reception did not recognise my Accor member card and said that they were not a member of this group and that they only had two hotels one in China and this one. We were pretty annoyed by this as we booked the hotel purely as it was an Accor group hotel. I am hoping that the points for my 2 nights stay will be applied......Thought it important that they did not even know this. There was also no signage anywhere of the hotel brand.

I took my family to this hotel for vacation. We arrived early at around noon time. The room was not available yet. Kenny, hotel manager, helped us a lot. He patiently listened to our request and responded promptly. We really enjoyed this hotel, its restaurant and its pool !

We stayed here for business for a few days and it is a very good hotel. The service and staff in general is very nice, polite and efficient. The rooms and facilities are nice and spacious. The gym is huge and has a nice indoor pool. It also serves outside guests, so it is actually a fully equipment fitness center, but not overrun. The breakfast is very good too for a hotel in Taiwan. The location is a bit outside the city center, but it is still easy to get around the city from here. Overall; we had a great stay here!
