We were visiting Taichung for 2 nights on business and our travel agent had booked us into this hotel. Arriving late we were pleased with the crisp modern lobby and quick check in process. Sadly our first room was in the old block and had non of the glamour of the reception. The room, whilst large, was old, not very clean and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom was very tired. Fortunately we were able to change rooms for our second night, and there was no comparison. Our second room was in the new block. Staff were lovely and we were able to walk to bars, restaurants, parks and shops very quickly. We will definitely stay here on any future trips to Taichung.
I was expecting a small motel type of rooms. But this hotel is lovely! Big and clean rooms, comfortable bed. Money well spent. Short walk to Sogo for shopping and food and a 7-Eleven next door. We took the bus to get around Taichung which was quite convenient.
The hotel equipped with all facilities you need for business. It was a good place to stay for business trip. Nice meeting room and large desk in the room. Lobby is modern and room was clean and neat. They located close to the bus station on Taiwan Boulevard, restaurants and 7-eleven nearby. I will come back again if I visit taichung again.
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was clean. The bed was a bit on the uncomfortable side. Staff were nice. Location was a little out of the way. There are shops and restaurants available but be prepared to walk to get to them. The hotel map provided was not to scale.
Clean, well maintained, staff is pleasant and helpful. Not a western chain hotel, so not so easy for an American to find, but conveniently located, and reasonably priced for the Taichung Bike Week events.
A very nice, clean, and spacious hotel in Taichung. Very friendly staff. The rooms are large and well equipped. If you are European there is enough choice at breakfast if the Asian cuisine is not to your liking. The only thing to check is if there is a bar . As if there is I couldn’t find it. Recommended .
I had to check out one day earlier than the planned schedule, the payment method I choose to pay when check-out, not via online platform. When I check out a day earlier, the staff at this hotel insisted I have to pay the full amount, and had no intention to be flexible on the amount, I even offer to pay 50% of the fee for the day I won't stay. but the reception staff just insisted I had to pay the full amount, which is EXTREMELY UNREASONABLE. the overall service is not good, basic greeting but when it comes to this situation for change of days of stay and request on the payment change, none of the staff can make any decision or sort out this issue with client. also the wifi stability is really really poor, it shows there are many wifi available, but in fact, it log-out automatically every 10 mins, it is really ridiculous.
A nice and clean hotel. The staff are friend and professional. As for the room, even the smallest room at promotional rate is still big enough for (although only 2 people is allowed in the room). Overall, it's really value-for-money.
Stayed 2 nights in this hotel with my boyfriend and we had a room upgrade as we checked in much earlier than the said timing (3pm) - hence that was a pleasant encounter! The hotel is not conveniently located, we had to take bus 159 from the Taichung HSR to Sogo and navigate using our GPS. Oh, a plus side to taking buses in Taichung - transportation is FREE using the iPass card. The ride took us around 40 mins, while walking to the hotel took another 15 and involved crossing major intersections (not recommended for young children and elderly to walk; consider taking a taxi to the hotel). On the bright side, there is a large 7/11 just beside the hotel which provided us with much needed hot soups and drinks in the rainy weather during our stay there. Service was good, the staff were friendly and forthcoming. Breakfast wasn't great with a limited selection of food - hence would not pay extra for it unless necessary. Room is comfortable - Japanese style with a bidet- small bathtub and shower area. Not sure if I would come back to this hotel - mainly because of the location - but would recommend for families with older kids if you're looking for a spacious room!
My family of 3 stayed in room 1115 on 28 Nov 2016 for 2 nights, we booked through Booking.com for better rate. We arrived at Taichung HSR station, from there we took bus 159, free of charge using the Easy Card, and alighted at the SOGO bus stop. From there, it's about 10 mins walk from SOGO shopping mall. The walk to the hotel with luggage was bumpy as the pavement was very uneven, still we managed to walk there. But for family with small children, it is advisable to take a cab. We arrived 1 hour earlier but managed to check-in, the service was fast and hassle free. The staffs were very helpful and friendly, we asked them to assist us to charter a cab to Wuqi and the cab arrived within 20 mins. Also, they called a cab for us to the HSR station on our day of departure and it arrived in 10 mins. Very efficient. The room was awesome, large, clean and modern, almost everything was provided and with free wifi. The bathroom was clean, dry and there's a washlet too. The only imperfection was the basin was a bit too low even for my height about 1.57m but I guess it's great for family with small children. Overall, I would love to stay here again even though the location isn't too ideal but the cabs were inexpensive so it is still a good choice for accommodation.
