This is exactly what we envisioned our Tahiti visit to include and this villa made it all possible. The villa is gorgeously painted and super private. The plunging pool, the kayak is available right outside the door was just super awesome. There are grocery stores located down the street for grocery shopping to prepare your favorite dishes. A few pointers, I would absolutely contact the villa for a pickup from the airport. It is cheaper and after the flight you will want to get straight to your accommodations. Wait to rent a car once you are at villa. There is a local place 5 minutes down the road where the most amazing,Margot, picks you up from the villa and takes you to get the car. It was seamless and cheaper than the airport pricing. Contact the villa to have breakfast prepared and dropped off the first morning. I think it’s a beautiful relaxing introduction to your stay. If we are ever at this island again... we are staying here!
Villa Mitirapa was just as simple as that: a little piece of heaven! The location of your private villa directly on a turquoise inlet, the open kitchen and bath rooms, the swimming pool and large yard adjacent to the ocean, the tropical breezes and balmy nights: this is how we envisioned Tahiti and Villa Mitirapa was just the culmination of it all. This is a MUST STAY!!! And we live in Hawaii and are used to incredible places, but this one WAS IT!
What a fun place... We really enjoyed our Tahitian Abode. All the living areas are open to the outdoors, which we loved. The bedrooms are enclosed. We found the place clean and with all the amenities expected in a home. We enjoyed cooking breakfast each morning and checking email... yes, WiFi worked well. In the evening we sat by/in the 'dunking' pool, with a glass of wind overlooking the lagoon. Kayaks were fun to take out for a tour on the water. The hosts were readily available when needed. The decor was fun and comfortable. Each bed room has its own attached bath with an open shower. One bedroom, the Master with Queen bed, is air conditioned, the other bedroom with 2 twin beds, has a oscillating free standing room fan. There is a washer and dryer in the Master Bath. It is Tahiti and everything is open air. Unfortunately, the oscillating free standing room fan would not stand up on its own! so had to be leaned against the wall making the angle of moving air not optimal :( Hopefully this has been replaced by now. It is a bit buggy... open air.... and they provide plenty of Mosquito coils. We kept all the coils burning while on the premises and minimized the biting critters... but best to bring bug spray. We enjoyed our stay at Villa Mitirapa with the added bonus of watching the land Crabs scurry in and out of their burrows!
Everything about Villa Mitirapa was the essence of Tahiti. We will start with the Kava Bungalow with it's natural beauty and the stunning view of the lagoon backed by the beautiful luscious green hills topped with the fluffy white clouds that mirrored onto the waters. The villa was situated in a secluded area although the back was wide open and yet exclusive to the lagoon (just around the corner from the ocean). The villa itself is unique and interestingly eclectic with a private deck and dipping pool. It was exactly what I needed for a restful get-away. I cannot say enough good things about the kind, generous and warm spirit of all the folks involved with Villa Mitirapa. It will definitely be a show and tell all with my family and friends about this wonderful experience. The only caveat would be to be aware of the Agoda booking process (which is not under the control of Villa Mitirapa).
Highly recommend Villa Mitirapa and well worth the trip to another part of the island. Stayed in Villa Hotu for 3 nights. Villa is right on the beach and in a stunning, peaceful location - the sunsets are amazing. The villa is very private, comfortable and has everything you need, and you are well looked after by Vaite and Stephanie. Loved kayaking on the lagoon, relaxing in the pool, and just a great place to chill out. Supermarket close by and great BBQ. Perfect mix of home from home whist enjoying something quite special.
We are a 40s gay couple. Stayed 3 nights in Villa Hotu. Very private, very comfortable, everything as described and nice. The Carrefour is close and has all provisions needed for cooking great meals. We BBQed a lot. Afaaiti is close to both the north and south sides of the eastern side of the island (Tahiti Iti). There is lotz of boating potential and things to see, if a little peaceful and sleepy. Pool is great, really the villa is like an ideal Airbnb. We preferred our time here much more than at the Intercontinental in Faaa (Papeete). BTW, go to the Marquesas instead of Bora Boring if you like adventure and true beauty.
Spent three nights in the two bedroom Fara villa. Very relaxed and homely vibe, quiet neighbourhood and great amenities. The living, dining area and kitchen are all open-aired so bring mosquito spray for the evenings. Undercover garage for car. Private plunge pool and a kayak to paddle around the estuary. Fridge, microwave and oven in the kitchen. Clothes washing and drying machine. Free WIFI. 10 minute drive to shops and local Carrefour.
Stunning villa, friendly and efficient service, perfect for a family. The canoe was a nice little plus, kids loved having a go, shallow water nearby made it easy. Would strongly recommend and would definitely go back!!! The water was not cold and fun to swim in it. Although the pool was cold it was fun to jump into the water. Fanny (Stephanie) is a great host and really wants to make your stay perfect.
We booked 2 nights at Villa Mitirapa after a one-week cruise around Society Islands. We rented a small car from Papeete and drove ourselves to the Villa. When we got there, the villa was open and waiting for us. It was lovely, well maintained, clean, and the manager was super friendly and responsive to our requests. It is a must to have a car as it is a bit remote. There are supermarkets nearby to get some food and the house has all you need to make a simple dinner. They even have a washing machine! Be sure to spend some time looking up at the night sky when you are there!
My daughter booked this beautiful Villa for us on our vacation. I've never seen a place this beautiful or an accommodation this nice. The house was perfect, open, spacious, quiet, with it's own beach, a soaking pool. The bed could not have been more comfortable. The host was friendly and gracious. Already making plans to go back....
