Beautiful property, located on a peaceful part of Ubud far from the crowded areas. There is a vast stretch of serene paddy fields nearby, and we enjoyed stunning sunsets from the property. The room was clean and maintained very tastefully. The staff were friendly and always warm.
Umasari rice terrace Villa is a beautiful little retreat. This is the perfect place for those wanting to relax, unwind and zen out for a few days. Surrounded by picturesque rice fields, whilst staying here we felt extremely chilled out. It’s the perfect setting for some meditation or yoga. Or just to zone out for a while and clear your mind. The walkways around the huts are lovely and the calming sounds of gentle running water in the background from the streams that surround the rice fields is so nice. Each hut has its own outdoor shelter hut which is the perfect place to chill out. We used it to shade us from the sun one day, then as shelter from rain the next. It was actually really lovely to sit under during a rain storm, listening to the thunder as it rolled around the distant hills. Magical. The staff here were all lovely and very helpful. We received a warm welcome and a nice tour around the area to see where everything was. The huts themselves were quite large and had everything we needed. Good air con, a large fridge, comfy bed with mosquito netting, TV, etc. The bathroom area was really nice too! The roof is partially open aired so you can have a lovely natural shower, yet retain your privacy. There are tropical plants in there and some lovely mood lighting too. The restaurant is a little walk away, through the rice fields. We would definitely advise taking a small torch if you go in the evening. The pathway is lit in most places. But there are some steep slopes and dark patches. It’s a lovely peaceful 5 minute walk though which we really enjoyed. Once at the restaurant you are treated to a beautiful view too! The menu looked really exciting with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. But we were a little bit disappointed to find out that many were unavailable which was a real shame. However this was probably due to it being the quiet season when we visited. The food that we had, although not our first choice, was very nice and reasonably priced. There are two swimming pools to choose from. One next to the huts and one down near the restaurant. Both are a good size and really nice. Although the water was just a bit too cold to tempt us in whilst we were there at the beginning of November. We would recommend Umasari to couples, single travellers, friends and families in search of a few days of peace, quiet and escape. Yoga and meditation fans will love it. Although there were no classes on offer, so you would need to just do your own thing. But the surroundings are so perfect for this! If you’re looking for somewhere with entertainment, music, a bar or area to socialise etc, this might not be for you. But to chill out, relax, read some books and get some peace and quiet this magical little place is perfect! Good value for money. Lovely accommodation, friendly staff. Peaceful scenic surroundings. We would definitely return again... Rob, Annalisa & Leo.
We stayed a night before heading to the North. We were quite exhausted after a flight and driving from airport to Umasari was great. Room was clean,we had good rest. And the next morning we had great breakfast with fantastic view of rice fields. Enjoyed it. Thank you
We looking for villa in Tabanan before back to Java by road trip. Simply because is near to Gilimanuk. We never expect something good but we bet some good luck to some villa with rice field view. The location maybe hard to find unless you use private car. But, once you got there, the green is everywhere. Dont skip the sunset. Our room was small, but turns out they have super good bed. The price is included with breakfast. The offer the menu the night before. You can choose western or Balinese menu. And the place, the room or the rice fields. Of course i choose the rice fields. Omg! They served super delicious food. With a beautiful view. Sure i will back here.
I loved almost all about my stay here. I stayed solo for 3 nights as my escape after a 2-months of hectic and busy days. I arrived here quite late after sunset yet the view right in front of my joglo terrace was enchanting. Front office lady, Ms. Ayu was very friendly and accommodating. Joglo room was spacious for solo or couple with attached open air bathroom for you to shower under the stars and moon :) Room was clean and breakfast was simple yet ample. Pool was small but with rice terrace view. Massage was great provided by a local villager. I will stay again in the near future.
We spent 3 nights there with our family. The location is perfect for nature lovers. The food especially the Indonesian' rice table was perfect. The breakfast was very good also. We rented bikes there and they made us a map, it was a very nice trip. Perfect for a few days if you like calm and nature...
Stay 2 nights for holiday. Pros : - traditional village houses with excellent rice field view - cycling through village and rice field is a must - compound clean and mosquito free - staff friendly and considerate Cons : - location quite remote, no convenience store or restaurant nearby - F&B choice very limited - wifi coverage and speed need improvement
Umasari Rice Terrace Villa is a six room place, offering independent cottages, all with south-facing, 180-degree ricefield views. There is also a very well-maintained pool, big enough to swim in properly. We loved the place. The village could not be more peaceful and is typical of the Bali hills. You can wander around watching village life and be greeted by wide smiles everywhere. Or sit on the terrace in front of your room and watch the farmers in the ricefields. Umasari even offers a range of activities, some of which allow you to join in and become part of the view yourself. The staff are all very helpful and professional, rooms are nicely decorated and clean and breakfast options are varied. It is all very good value. The only thing we felt could be improved is the kitchen, which is very small, so service can be slow if they have multiple orders simultaneously. As with everywhere in rural bali, though, if you stick with the staples like soto ayam, nasi goreng or sate, you won't go far wrong. Umasari is perfectly situated for day trips to Taman Ayun, Jatiluwih and Batukaru temple.
We were stay there for a night.. the staff were very friendly.. they are upgrading us to their Suite Villa although our booking was Joglo Villa.. !! Good place for releasing stress.. there was a construction around the villa, a bit bothering.. but still okay for us.. hope they can have more food variety.. more power socket.. fixing their tv cable with international channel(which was not work in our villa).. we will back again for sure !! Cheers !!
I only stayed here for one night- but loved it. The rooms are stand alone little huts, with outside bathrooms/shower. The staff were so friendly and welcoming-a real pleasure! They have a small menu to order lunch, dinner and breakfast from-all excellent! The rooms have a television, kettle, coffee/tea,bottled water and the bed and towels are beautifully presented. There's aircon in all of the rooms. I loved my little porch;each hut/ room has its own day bed outside. I relaxed by the pool and,as they didn't expect guests in my room, was allowed a late check out. A cab from Ubud cost me 300 000; and from the property to Sanur was 400 000. On über the same trip was only 100 000-but I ended up going with the arrangements made for me by the hotel. I loved my stay here; went for a walk among the rice paddies this morning- would definitely return!
