If you want peace and paradise in beautiful settin

This place is stunning. Set on a hillside next to rice terraces, the resort is immaculate, private, and stylish. From the lush landscapes and manicured grounds, to the detached traditional villas that blends traditional Balinese architecture with its verandas and high ceilings to contemporary interiors and spacious bath, this place felt posh! Who ever built this really cared about every detail. And crowned it by hiring the best staff. Ayu and the staff there were more than helpful. They really cared. One thing - u will need transportation as it is secluded. No restaurants around. When I was there Ayu arranged drivers and made it really easy as I don’t drive. Had my dinners there every night and found all of it truly something out of the movies ...

we loved staying here! Very local&full of nature

Very lovely place! You can relax fully with full of nature. If you like to stay in Bali style place than modern, I highly recommend you. The room is spacious and clean. We had a private garden in front of the room so we could enjoy breakfast there. The swimming pool is also very nice! If you walk about 15-20mins there is a very typical local village. Not touristic at all. We did not see any tourist here. All the local people there were very kind and nice. You can enjoy the massage in the hotel as well. But there is nothing around the hotel. If you want to buy something you need to walk about 15mins to the small market. The staffs can speak English & a bit of French but they don't speak very good English so you might have some misunderstanding. They are very kind though. For me and my husband, we would like to stay here again! It was really really relaxing 2nights. And we loved visiting the village as well.

Gorgeous and relaxing

I was hoping to have a completely relaxing holiday, with no plans or stress. Sanyas Retreat delivered. The staff were beautiful and very accommodating, the villa exceeded my expectations, and the grounds were stunning. It's quite remote without transport, but perfect for anyone looking to do nothing, or perhaps walk into the local village and check out non-tourist Bali.

This place is AMAZING!

We stayed in the house section (not one of the bungalows), we had 3 bedrooms, 3 living spaces, 2 huge covered verandas all beautifully appointed. The views over the jungle and rice paddies were breathtaking and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Astoundingly it was also the cheapest hotel we stayed in during our 2 week stay. I'd be happy to go back to Bali and only stay here!

Perfect for families seeking a quiet retreat.

Great villa/s in a remote part of Tabanan which is busy & highly touristic. Transport was not an issue to us as we had the wonderful staff at the villa driving us around to places of interest for a very small fee. The grounds are just gorgeous and the lake complements the beauty of Sanyas. What made our stay extraordinarily special was the hospitality we recieved from all the staff at Sanyas- they were never short of ways to please us and make our stay better each day. We do miss them-amazing people they are especially Nyoman! We definitely recommend this villa to families or anyone who is just seeking serenity. On a different note, a washing machine is a necessity-not being able to wash clothes for 10 days wasn't fun. Also a grill in the kitchen (main villa) is something to consider. Mosquito nets will be a life saver-were covered in mosquito bites by the second night. We have travelled in tropical countries where mosquito nets are provided; an acknowledgment that Mosquitos do spread diseases. Lastly, replace the cooking pots in the main villa with better quality pots, the ones provided simply burns everything!

Prettig verblijf in The Sanyas Retreat 4 nachten

+++ vriendelijk personeel, prachtig zwembad, mooie tuin, waterkoker in de villa, rustige omgeving met uitzicht op rijstveld -- geen koelkast, alleen ontbijt, restaurant-faciliteiten ontbraken (kok ontslagen/beheerder bracht ons naar Warung in Tabanan), complex ligt afgelegen op het platteland: geen winkel of restaurant in de nabijheid.
