location was very conveince. rooms clean and staff was friendly

Great complimentary breakfast and very friendly staff! My room was much larger than those in newly constructed hotels.

Staff was very friendly, property was very clean and rooms were very large and spacious.

Good deal for the price. Manager is a little too omni present. Stands by door waiting for you to check out. Needs to chill. Knocks on door too many times. Leave people alone please.

The problems were the following: no hair dryer, the toilet paper was almost gone, no kleenex anywhere, there were four of us and only two towels, the mattress killed my back and it also squeaked every time you moved, the clock/radio had dust all over it and was from 30 years ago. I would think these things would have been taken care of. On the good side was the view of the river and the pool. Also the breakfast was adequate. I am going to have to stay there again as my daughter just moved to Fulton and the hotel is so close to her place, but I will have to bring tissues, towels, a hair dryer, my own pillows and a piece of foam to go over the mattress just to stay there.

Comfortable room. Older hotel but reasonable price. I would stay again.

The staff was friendly, but we were given a smoking room when we requested a non-smoking room. The room was run down with holes in the walls and hair in the shower. I could easily find the right channels for the seven year old, but the remote didn't work and the TV was nearly 20 years old. The parking lot was full and we didn't hear any noise from neighbors. We picked it because we could only come for one night of Parents' Weekend, but next year I will either pay for two nights for a better hotel or sleep in my car.

The halls in the hotel had old bottles & other trash laying around. The room also could have been cleaned better. We found remnants of previous occupants on the floor. The breakfast was pretty good, but took forever for someone to wait on us. We also would have like better instructions from the front desk about how & where to get the breakfast.

Riverside Inn is quite run down. Breakfast was good and server was great. Nice location on the river but the motel badly needs refurbishing.

Surly greeting but he provided us with a room even though we arrived at 12 noon. The Riverside Inn's backyard is located on the Oswego River, and they have a very nice dock to allow sitting by it. Their backyard has a patio and a pool. The Inn itself is in need of refurbishing. It's seedy and run down. If we hadn't prepaid, we would have sought other accommodations even if we had to pay more. It needs an influx of capital. It has great potential: Their complimentary breakfasts are outstanding. Excellent tasting and served by an upbeat and hardworking waitress who bantered easily and humorously with the many workmen housed there.

Clean, but needs some up dates. Both icemakers were broke down, the bartender was nice enough to go to the kitchen and get some for us. The waitress at breakfast cooked the food and I was quite impressed. Very good food and service, she even gave us a bag of ice to go.

The hotel is located on the Oswego River and has a nice pool. It is a good value for the money.

This hotel is extremely outdated. The beds are covered with some type of plastic that crinkles when you sit and/or sleep on them. The heater/air conditioner kicks on and off and sounds like an airplane engine. The toilet overflowed from normal use. The front desk help was not very friendly upon check in or when asked for an additional towel. They ran out of food at the continental breakfast. Need I say more??

Bathroom a little tired, Had coffee pot and coffee in room-but no sugar or creamers. No hairdryer or iron in room. Had to keep bothering the night desk worker. But ok for the price-and it was only one night.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. We were expecting a three star experience but the building was old and smelly and a bit ramshackle. The sagging mattresses, paper thin walls, worn appearance of every surface and non-functional door locks made us sorry we had chosen the Riverside. If we had been expecting a one star facility instead of a three star, then we would have been prepared.

Although this hotel needs some renovation in the rooms (particularly the bathrooms) it was clean and large. Our non-smoking room smelled like the prior occupant smoked but was tolerable. The breakfast was great (your ordered off a menu) and set this hotel apart from others in the area. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I'd stay there again.

The location is nice, but that is about it. They lost our reservation, the "non-smoking" room smelled like stale smoke, there were hairs that didn't belong to either of us in the bathroom and there were drunk people yelling in the hallway at 2 in the morning. Would not recommend it.

Easy check in. Nice hot bath. Big bed. A bit of TV. Quiet peaceful night!

Clean, very good big rooms and fantastic bar and breatkfast

We stayed here for one night while visiting a nearby attraction. Upon entering the establishment, we immediately had a feeling the place was severally out dated. While making our way to the room we noticed numerous holes in the walls, out-of-service ice and vending machines. Our room smelled pungent and there were stains on all the pillows, one of which closely resembled dried stained blood. Our request for new fresh linens fell upon deaf ears. The bathroom was not cleaned nearly as good as it should be , but at least it has fresh soap and towels. The beds were VERY stiff, and one of the double beds had broken springs along foot of the bed. As were laid on bed, we got to enjoy the multitude of stains and cracks in the ceiling. On a positive note,my girlfriend is a health inspector and checked for bed bugs, there was no clear evidence of any. Additionally, the air conditioner worked very well and drowned out the noisy neighbors. I can only recommend staying here if there are no alternatives.
