Spacious apartment overlooking the port of Ortigia, a few steps from Passeggio Aretusa.
The apartment is on the first floor of a stately building without lift. The house is developed around the main living area, furnished with an elegant glass table, two sofas, a TV, and overlooking the small balcony with a sea view.
The living area is complemented by a separate kitchen with attached laundry, furnished with an additional dining table, and a TV, and equipped with every convenience including a dishwasher, oven, and espresso machine. The sleeping area consists of two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, an ensuite bathroom with a shower, and a loft with a second bedroom, a queen-sized bed, TV, and an ensuite bathroom with a shower.
An additional bathroom with a bathtub completes the layout.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
For relaxation and sea lovers, Eastern Sicily and the surroundings of Siracusa are the perfect choice. Leaving the ancient Greek city and going toward the south, the best-equipped beaches worth a visit are Minareto, Fanusa, Arenella and Fontane Bianche, whose name is due to the natural sweet spring water and to the unique white sand. Then, on the island of Ortigia there are some equipped solariums (Zefiro and Nettuno), as well as the free beach of Cala Rossa. Going further south, about 30 kms far away from Siracusa, there are amazing and wild beaches: Calamosche, Vendicari with its Wildlife Park, and the precious San Lorenzo. For those looking for cultural and historical sites, it is recommended to visit Teatro Greco and its archeological site with the famous Orecchio di Dionisio (a limestone cave shaped like a human ear), the Museum Paolo Orsi, then the Latomie dei Cappuccini, and finally the island of Ortigia with its natural and historic eye-catching landscapes. Finally, our guests should visit the town of Noto, the seafront of Tonnara di Avola and the fisherman village of Marzamemi. Nicest VRBO Apartment We Have Ever Rented!
I almost gave “Accuracy of Listing” 3 or 4 stars because… those pictures do not do it justice! It is more beautiful than the photos portray. It is comfortable, spacious and quiet with a spectacular view and excellent location. It is tastefully decorated. There are several common spaces for relaxing, eating - providing nice options for four adults to enjoy with each other’s company or read in a quiet corner. The location is mid-island making walking to anywhere 20 minutes or less. A true gem on the lovely island of Ortigia!
