A delightfully quirky (in the best sense of that word) hotel - a former convent and school - with many of the original features still intact. Easy to find, excellent parking facilities, and probably the most spacious breakfast area we've ever seen. Comfortable, quiet, and warm room - what more could you want?

A wonderful place to stay! We have stayed before when cooked breakfast was available but our out of season stay this time saw a continental breakfast only. Excellent new coffee/drinks machine. Previously we have always stayed in the main building but this time we opted for Louisa lodge. This surpassed our expectations. We will be back.

The hotel is a grand old place with a rich history connected to it, which the owner is more than happy to share with you. Good sized rooms, communal areas and bar. Free, secure carpark. Location short 5min walk to town. Have been before and will come again for sure 👍

To spent our last night in Swanage we transferred from our B&B up to the Purbeck. Ideal location for walkers and location to town and beach . We liked having a lounge and bar for the evening . Bed was comfortable and bathroom standard. Loved looking around the old architecture and period interior detail , a very pleasant stay.
