My wife was attracted by a trip article on wechat about this hotel, such as good view with the lake nearby, nice pool for kids, tasty food...so she followed advise bought a promotion night. We called 3 times to book. The first time my wife called to book was at 10pm, they said the booking office was out of work, pls call them during the work time. She called next day at 11:54am, they said sorry the booking office was in noon break, pls call later. My kids were so excited for this 2 days trip, they prepared swimming suits, swimming rings and toys very well. When we arrived, they told us the room was not with the lake view, that’s fine. Their Chinese restaurant was good, just a little bit strange: the price for kids is by age in the Chinese restaurant, however in the western restaurant the price for kids is by height. When we brought our stuff to swimming pool, we were told , sorry the pool were be preparing, cannot use till next Wednesday. ????!!!! Why couldn’t they tell us this information when we were booking?! One of my kids cried immediately. What a nice experience!
If you find yourself looking for a hotel in the Moon Bay area of Suzhou, this may be your (only?) choice. Not that many hotels in the area it appears, but the Four Points is a safe bet for visitors of all categories.
This is a very good hotel. The building is nicely positioned next to a lake and the surroundings look green. Rooms are large and luxurious with a seperate shower. There is one small downside and that is that it is in a business area so it is very quiet outside and you need to go with the taxi to restaurants.
It was a nice hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast had reasonable varieties. I was a bit surprised that the hotel restaurant did not serve lunch, but maybe it's because of the location. Overall, I enjoyed the stay.
This was a fantastic hotel in/near the Suzhou Industrial Park. Set on Dushu Lake, there are a number of trails around the lake for walking. Huge breakfast buffet every day (both Chinese and Western foods). A couple of nice restaurants. Service was impeccable. Staff very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
It's a really nice hotel in SIP, Suzhou, if you are travelling to Higher Education Zone in there. Service was really good, really comfortable beddings and really quiet rooms. Would recommend it to you for any travel.
Convenient if you're visiting companies at the Suzhou Industrial Park, otherwise it is quite a distance from the town centre and tourist attractions. At night, the area is dead. This hotel is exactly what you can expect from a Four Points in a Tier 2 city: things work and are clean, but everything is extremely basic: the bare rooms, the industrial-looking amenities, the gym equipped with a few dated machines, the sad restaurants, the friendly but minimum service. We had dinner at China Spice, where the quality of almost every single dish was below-average. The breakfast buffet is adequate. Prices are reasonable, so not a bad value proposition if you have to stay in the Industrial Park.
Cannot turn on air conditioning. Room is at 27 degrees C at night. Impossible to sleep comfortably. By any reasonable measure, this is unsatisfactory for a global brand. Staff embarrassed but tell me they are not owners and cannot remedy except with very noisy roll in unit. Really a great surprise. The room has a relatively high tech thermostat, but it's impossible to set it to cool instead of heat.
The hotel's staff are friendly, professional and multi-lingual. My room was spacious and quite with lovely view over the Dushu Lake. The food was delicious, a combination of Chinese and Western cuisine. Even though the hotel is of some distance to the Suzhou City Centre, it's easy to get a taxi from the hotel. The concierge uses an app to call taxis during peak hours. So it's recommended to give them enough notice to log a job for you. The hotel is located in the newly developed part of the Suzhou Industrial Park. So it's relatively quite with easy traffic around the hotel. But just across the road, there are a number of cafes and restaurants with reasonably priced food. Will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Suzhou.
The room was very cold and the engineering department could not do anything about it. Very uncomfortable. In general, this is a nondescript provincial hotel with the usual half hearted attempt to make a sort of western breakfast. Incredible that it can't be done better only 30 minutes from Shanghai.
