We had a good sized room; in fact it turned out to be a large suite. The bed was comfortable and breakfast (served in the 4th floor restaurant) was very good. Staff were friendly and approachable; and were happy to help with our arrangements. As there is a casino on the ground floor, I guess that rooms on higher floors are best to avoid noise. The hotel is usefully located for all the major sights. The hotel uses Hertog taxis and care should be taken when paying; they are quite happy to take Euros as equal to Guilders, thus overcharging by several hundred percent.
I booked for the weekend. Got a standard room. Room was clean but the was a odd smell in the room. The bed was big but not that comfy. Breakfast was great, a lot to chose from. Location is great right in de middle of everything.
We stayed in two periods: first 3 nights and after a two night break, again 2 nights. We were with a group of 9 persons. When checking in the arrangement of the rooms was somewhat messed up. Upon check-in the allocation of the rooms was not according to the booking ( i.e. a room with a double bed were to persons would share a room). And upon entering the hotel room you find that there is a non-private toilet and bathroom in the middle of the room, giving you the feeling of being a voyeur. We also experienced that housekeeping forgot to clean the room, came after 5 PM or didn't gave towels. Even in the executive suite! The rooms were clean. A safe available, coffee maker, and perfect Wi-Fi. Friendly but not professional staff. This hotel doesn't accept the MasterCard nor Maestro: Europeans be aware. Also at the rooftop restaurant the consumptions can not be placed on your room number. you have to pay instantly, Cash or Credit card. The food there is excellent. Also breakfast is served at the rooftop restaurant and is included and is well served with extensive choice. Some rooms are a bit noisy. And in the lobby there is a big Casino (and free food is served). Security all over the place and two armed guards at the entrance. The neighborhood is safe. Nightlife in the hotel area with several restaurants and a "Cambio" around the corner.
Been there for one week of time and extremely satisfied with the quality of service, the level of housekeeping and the kindness of staff. Adviced for travellers and for business visitors. The area is mainly for tourists and a Casino located downwards. Moreover good place, good price, comfortable rooms. What next?
This hotel made our little getaway perfect. We booked this hotel months ago and picked it for the free wifi and breakfast. Although our stay was short, we were very impressed by this hotel. The location is excellent, the room was a great size and the cleanliness was exceptional. Check in and out was easy and the staff was friendly. Although we didn't have time to visit the casino, it was conveniently situated in the lobby. The roof top view was beautiful and the breakfast selection was more than enough. We had no complaints about this hotel. If your are going to Suriname, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be returning.
Stayed 4 nights at USD $73 a night. They are a stickler for the 3pm check in which was a little frustrating after a long day over landing from French Guiana. Room itself modern, spacious and with a comfortable bed. 93 steps from the elevator to the room became a little tiring after a while - maybe ask for a room near the elevators. Quiet room. Wifi worked well on all devices. Roof top terrace with selection of food and drinks but you can not add to your room bill and need to pay cash. ATM in lobby doesn't take Visa Card and you need to go to the one around the corner. Nice coffee shop directly across the road with wifi.. Service station with snacks and the usual other goods maybe 150 metres away. On site restaurant on 1st floor has all you can eat sushi (165 SRD) on some nights and teriyaki on others (195 SRD). Breakfast on the top floor until 11am was filling with lots of coffee and an egg station. All roof top staff were very good. $10 an hour for a late check out after 12 noon. SRD 175 for taxi to airport (a very slow 45km's and took over 1 hour). Easy enough walk from hotel to majority of local tourist sites.
Upon arrival in Paramaribo we've arranged a three-night stay in the Ramada Princess Hotel. Our room was enormous, clean and provided with all services. The breakfast was excellent and staff very helpfull. On top of the hotel is a pool-deck where you can order all sorts of food&beverage. Within the hotel is a casino (ground level), a restaurant (sushi) and a club. There are lots of clubs and pubs situated around the hotel, which brings me to the one downside. We've experienced quite a lot of noise from the surrounding clubs which close around 6 am. I would definately stay another time, but would also make sure I get another room (not located right next to the street & clubs)
Check in was quick and easy, clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy beds, pillows. I was happy with my short stay, Will come again. recommend it for all types of visitors. Breakfast is always include.
Book direct to get the best deal! This hotel initially seems to be an add on to a casino as the lobby and reception appears as an after thought. Friendly easy registration was impressed with the room and amenities. Tea/coffee plus free drinks in the fridge! Great shower room! The roof top pool, restaurant and rest area were quiet and had a great view! Would not hesitate to book here again
