We loved the Eco lodge. It was peaceful, clean and well run and the eco ethos was a definite draw card. Loved the well equipped kitchen in the railway carriage. The staff were informative and really friendly. Would love to spend a few days there- one night was not enough.
Perfect location in the hinterland for a relaxing weekend away from Brisbane. We stayed in the Queenslander train carriage which was much larger on the inside than expected, the balcony was perfect for afternoon cheese and wine. Full kitchen being a nice touch as restaurants are a little drive away. Walking distance to the start of a few Glasshouse Mountains trails which the lovely staff recommended - Definitely worth spending the morning doing. A drive up to Maleny only being about half an hour was great for lunch and a bit of shopping. The staff are fabulous and are experts in the area if you're looking for walking trails and sightseeing attractions. Would recommend!
We stayed in the Queenslander train carriage which was a discounted upgrade on arrival. It has been beautifully converted into a cosy yet spacious room; a very unique experience! The location was perfect for our visit to the Abbey Medieval Festival, and also the few walks we did in the Glass House Mountains NP. Keith is a very welcoming host and we highly recommend this stay.
Stayed in one of the train carriages which was brilliant. The management were very welcoming and super friendly. Great location for exploring the Glass House Mountains. Very peaceful, good breakfast and nice to try the fresh fruit growing on the trees around you.
We had a great stay at the ecolodge. For day we got great advice what we could do. At night we just sat at the swing in the garden with a glass of wine. We really enjoyed the stars and the view of the mountain. The breakfast was really nice,
Very friendly hosts, beautiful setting with Mt Tibrogargan in the background, lovely gardens, peaceful, walks on the property and nearby. The first stop on our road trip and we really considered whether we should abandon the rest of our plans and just stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights & it was just lovely - very unique with room/cabins different themes. The owner Keith could not do enough for us & was so warm & welcoming. Excellent corresponding leading up to our stay too. The grounds are lovely with lots of fruit trees growing & you can help yourself to any "organic" ripe fruit. I spent a lazy afternoon on the lawn in the swinging chair enjoying the scenery & reading a book I'd selected from their library. Phone coverage was sketchy but their wifi is excellent. This place is within walking distance to Mt Tibrogargan which has terrific bush walks & about a 5 min drive to Australia Zoo.
Last week we were travelling from The Town of 1770 back to our home on Tamborine Mountain. We broke the journey with a stay at Glass House Mountains Ecolodge. The place is sensational and in you like nature this is the place to go, it is not too far off the beaten track and easily accessible yet your in the middle of a natural wonderland with amazing views of The Glass House Mountains. Forest walks to die for, you wont be dissapointed. We stayed in The Church! Yes a genuine historic church lovingly converted to great accommodation. We only made one mistake and booked in for only one night. You would be smart to book 2 or 3 nights to fully appreciate this Lodge and its location. We will be back. David and Daniela
Just an hour north of Brisbane airport we found the ecolodge to be an ideal spot to recover from jet lag and see a unique part of the country. The owner went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed including finding an electrical adapter we needed for the rest of our trip. The gardens were wonderful (with plants labelled for identification) which attracted a huge amount of birdlife. Being so handy to the Glass House Mountain hiking trails was an extra bonus.
We recently stayed here overnight on the long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a double room with ensuite which was maybe a little bit smaller than I was expecting but comfortable enough. After check-in we headed off down the road to do the Mount Tibrogargan Circuit walk which took us just over an hour. Upon our return to the Ecolodge we checked out the garden and the orchard that is located within the grounds. We drove to the Beerwah Hotel for dinner which isn't too far away and serves decent meals at a reasonable price. There are kitchen and barbecue facilities available to cook your own dinner if you prefer to do that. There are no TVs in the double rooms so we had brought both books and electronic devices for entertainment. The bed was comfortable, but we could hear snoring coming from the room next door. Breakfast in the morning (extra fee) was served on the deck near the converted railway carriages and was lovely. The platter of fresh fruit was yummy especially when combined with some yoghurt and muesli. We found this place relaxing and peaceful and a good place to base yourself for walks around the Glasshouse Mountains. After checkout we headed off to Ewen Maddock Dam to do some kayaking and walking - always enjoyable.
