We travelled here with our two kids in mid-October. Pro's: All of the resorts 2 bedroom apartments look over the beach, its an amazing location that backs onto Hastings Street so you have convenient access to restaurants, retail shops and transport as needed. The pool and spa are great and its one of the only resorts to have a lawn for the kids to run around on, which is great. Has direct beach access which is so convenient. Cons - Is expensive depending on the time of year, but very worth it in terms of location IMHO; the car park is difficult to negotiate especially reverse parking with a large SUV, you get very close to some of the pillars; we lucked out on weather with 5/7 days rain, however part and parcel with booking anything.
Travelled to Fairshore apartments from Sat 28th Oct and stayed 5 nights. Absolutely sensational location. Beachfront with amazing views from living areas and balcony. We had a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 adults and a baby. Portacot had been ordered in advanced and it had been set up before we arrived and was in great quality. Appropriate clean linen provided. Pool perfect for bub with a shallow wading area. Only negatives were a slightly noisy Saturday night from Hastings St but easily fixed by closing window to block out most of the noise and the rest of the week was much quieter. Great restaurants and shops just outside the door. Bbq areas with lounges give extra outdoor space for larger groups staying together. Fairshore kept in wonderful condition and staff always working hard to keep apartments clean and were very friendly and helpful.
A lovely place to stay with everything right on hand in Hastings Street. Lots of young families so probably not the place for you if you want to laze around a quiet pool or have a leisurely sleep in. Rooms are very nice, comfy beds. I found the kitchen lacking a few simple things that make life easier when you are on holidays such as glad wrap, foil, pepper and salt etc. Liquid dishwashing detergent only in messy sachets; a bottle would be easier. The Fairshore isn’t set up for people with physical disabilities. Although there are lifts there are still a fair few stairs to get to your room. Overall a busy but lovely place to stay but unless you really want to stay in Hastings Street much better value in my opinion can be found elsewhere.
We have stayed at Fairshore Apartments three times and we love it. The location is superb - it is right on the beach, with direct beach access, and Hastings Street is on the other side. The balcony is furnished and it is lovely to be able to sit back and admire the view of the beach and the pool - the perfect spot for breakfast/lunch. All apartments differ a little but are well furnished with adequate crockery etc. The welcome basket is a nice touch. The cleaning staff were always friendly and efficient and it is especially nice to have the bed linen changed half way through your stay. The washing machine and dryer are a bonus too. It is pot luck if you have noisy neighbours or if they make a lot of noise moving their chairs about but the location outweighs this. Just sit back and enjoy!!
We stayed 2 nights in a 2 bed, ground floor apartment (apartment 16). The apartment was very clean and tiled throughout. Lovely views of the sea. As well as the main bathroom, this apartment had a half bathroom in an alcove off the 2nd bedroom, which contained a sink and a shower. We loved just being able to walk directly out of the gate from our balcony over to the pool area, or out onto the boardwalk and beach. It is in a great location amongst the shops and restaurants on Hasting street, and only a 20 minute walk along the boardwalk to the national park. The pool was lovely and warm, and the Jacuzzi even warmer, which made for a very pleasant swim, even at 7 o'clock in the evening. A couple of minutes of walk away from the apartment at "on the beach" there is a small supermarket and a bakery, along with a couple of good takeaway places. Lovely place to stay, and the accomnoosa staff were kind enough to print off our boarding passes for us for our onward flight.
Our family loved the apartment, views, pool, direct beach access and location on Hastings St. The welcome basket was a nice touch and staff were friendly. Despite it being school holidays it was quiet and not too crowded at all. Would certainly return!
Stayed here twice now, and really love it. The apartments are fairly basic, but what you are paying for is the beachfront location, and the pool area. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment, only 1 bathroom, large lounge area and well equipped kitchen. You get a bottle of wine & mini welcome hamper which is a nice touch. Also, each apartment has its own parking space under the building, free of charge. It is located right in the middle of Hastings street, so perfect location. What I love the most though is the large balcony with furniture overlooking the pool area and the beach. All apartments overlook the view. There are only 30 apartments, so its a low level building. We had a great few days staying here, we enjoyed the heated pool and the spa. There are not many sun loungers near the pool, but given that many people head to the beach instead, in the middle of winter it was not too much of an issue. The pool is warm enough to swim even in June. Lovely spot, great location, great facilities.
Stayed in unit 37, top floor, absolutely fabulous. Very clean, superb decorating and views amazing. No lifts but it is soooo worth it. Central to everything and from my point of view the best accommodation on the beach. Would stay again 10/10
Our first holiday since having a child over 2 years ago - we couldn't be more excited! We booked at the Fairshore for it's location and self-contained amenities so that I could still cook healthy food for our son...and us as 2 year olds and fancy restaurants don't mix well. The apartment is a decent size with small bedrooms. It worked for us although I did have to stack some furniture to fit a port-a-cot in one of the bedrooms. Our bed was below average with a huge indent and we woke daily with sore backs. The kitchen looked great. What would've improved it is supplying basics like baking trays to use the oven! I had to use a roasting tray to cook anything. Also zero basic cooking supplies are provided so no baking paper, glad wrap, oil, salt etc. So in the end I did minimal cooking and found myself storing things in shopping bags in the fridge! The bathroom is very large and the shower pretty good although I wouldn't want to be a tall person using the toilet - my husband hit his head on the shower sitting down! We had a direct beach access room and the sound got annoying at times. After about 3 days a loud group stayed above us who loved moving furniture around. Housekeeping in neighbouring rooms is also quite loud. There was a crying toddler next door to us at one point which we also heard the entire time. Pros to this apartment - location. You walk straight onto the beach/boardwalk and have a pool at your disposal which is fantastic. You are a short stroll away from great restaurants and ice creameries and very close to the national park. Parking is provided (although very tight for anything bigger than a small barina or similar). We also found the front of house staff quite friendly unlike other reviews I have read. Free wifi is provided - although keep an eye on it as it drops out a lot. Foxtel is also provided although not all channels listed in the handbook and it drops out several times a day meaning you have to restart the unit frequently.
We spent a lot of time selecting an apartment on the top floor with the dates we needed only to find that we had been put on the middle floor in different apartment on arrival. After complaining, we were informed that we had only booked an "apartment type" and not a specific apartment which is odd as each apartment is extensively photographed with apartment numbers displayed for choice on the site. We ended up with the very scenario we wanted to avoid with noisy people scrapping chairs and stomping around on top and a multitude of young children screaming and running around on the lawn in front of our verandah. The decor was also very tired and you couldn't close the door of bedroom 2 as the beds were too big for the room. The view is beautiful, but it is not a relaxing complex due to the large number of young families who monopolize the pool and lawn areas.
