My family and I stayed here for 10 nights while on the beautiful Sunny Coast and couldn't be happier with the apartment we stayed in, it was spacious and sparkling clean and very modern the view was absolutely breathtaking we have stayed in a number of apartments while holidaying on thr coast but none have had an uninterrupted view as this apartment had, management and staff were all very friendly and inviting. We have just finished booking another stay here for next year looking forward to returning
Its on a hill near a busy intersection and as there are other tall buildings adjacent & opposite the sound of revving engines from buses, trucks & the multitude of 'suped-up' cars is amplified as they accelerate up the hill. We were in room 20 on the 4th floor which doesn't overlook the ocean unless you go out to balcony. Sitting on the balcony isn't pleasant in the early evening due to the engine noise. On our 1st night we were woken at 4.45am by the people upstairs moving chairs on a tiled/timber floors - this happened on other nights as well. My wife is a light sleeper and hardly slept for the 8 nights we'd booked for. The furnishings and bathrooms are tired and getting old. We also hired a trundle for an extra child which was extremely uncomfortable. If you must stay here try get at the right side (when facing reception) overlooking Alex headland & ocean which may reduce noise. I was lead to believe we would get one of these rooms but we got switched despite booking months in advance. We got a miserable allowance for wi-fi and couldn't connect so we didn't bother using. The food in Mooloolaba restaurants is very average and both surf clubs Mooloolaba & Alex are below par (Alex is slightly better) and the RSL is shocking in both bistro and cafe. Some of the reviews on restaurants in the area appear to be from overly generous markers.
Our third visit to this hotel. The convenience, views, location is amazing. 2 bedroom apartment exceptional with all the mod cons you need for a great stay. Would highly recommend this hotel and we will be back.
Very convenient to beach and local shops - all within 5 min walk. Very happy with apartment which includes washing machine and dryer. Time of year no sun on the balcony unfortunately. Spa pool good to use. Helpful, friendly staff. Good car parking.
Close to Maroochydore, situated on Alexandra parade amongst the multitude of motels. Surf beach across the road. Lovely vista. We stayed in a well appointed 2BR apartment with pool access. Full kitchen, roomy living area, balcony area for outdoor dining. If you want better views don't get pool access, as it is on the lowest level.
Booked in for 6 days and found the room and surounding gardens and amenities to be extreamily clean and well maintained. They have a lift with luggage trollies available from the undercover car park which for us was a releif with ageing joints. The room provides every thing we needed in working order including a sizeable bathroom/laundry. They have provided every thing we needed and at the best price we could find on the Sunshine Coast. Highly recommended
Recently back from a short stay on the Sunshine Coast Qld, our stay was at Alexander On Pacific, the property is a great location with outstanding views, well kept and well fitted out with everything you need for a short stay.
Alexandra on the Pacific was a great place to stay and was clean and well looked after. We would certainly consider staying here again at the right price as we got a pretty good deal this time around. The rooms were clean and they also serviced the rooms in the middle of our stay again which was nice. The apartments were located smack bang in the middle of Alex Headland and Mooloolaba but we tended to go to Mooloolaba a bit more often as there were more shops and restaurants there. It was also a good base for us to do some day trips to Australia Zoo and Fraser Island etc.. If you wanted to stay right in the heart of Alex Headland or Mooloolaba and didn't want to walk to these locations this might not be the place for you. But if you don't mind walking (we certainly didn't) to burn a few extra holiday calories then I would consider this place. The only issues I could find were that the light came into our bedroom very early and the curtains didn't do much to stop this, so you tended to wake up pretty early. This didn't bother us too much as my wife and I would go for a long morning walk anyway. But this could be a problem for some. We wanted to cook some pasta as the restaurants are a little pricey for families and there were no big pots. We had to cook this in two smaller pots which was a bit of a hassle. There were ants in the apartment but that was due more to the heat and the current conditions, no big deal and they gave us some spray to use. Overall the place is very clean and the pool and spa were good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The hotel management were very friendly and helpful. They were always cleaning and presentation of the whole complex was clean and tidy. We stayed in apartment 12 and were very disappointed with our bath / shower. The shower hose was held together with a bandaid, there were permanent brown make up stains in the bath, and the bath looked like a communal spa in a caravan park. I don't know how the owners would think that's ok when there's plenty of competition with other apartment options right next door.
We stayed 6 nights in a 1 bedroom apartment. Apartment was very noisy with street noise, cars accelerating up the hill. If you want to sleep past 5.30am I suggest you choose another unit. No block out blinds on windows. Bathroom was in need of a good clean. Toilet soiled on check in. Managers are lovely. Very helpful. Pool was too warm on most days. BBQ area is lovely, very clean and well lit.
