Lake home with a great view

We really enjoyed staying at the Blue Heron on LOTO. The location is awesome if you enjoy boat watching and being right on the water. The house is great with super cute nautical decor and everything you need for a comfortable stay.It was our first time at LOTO and this was a perfect place to enjoy it!

Family break at the lake

Lake house was spacious and clean, easy walk to dock and close to several lake bars. We had a lot of fun!

Great view of the lake!

Had a group of 8 guys stay here for the weekend and loved the prime location with the beautiful view. We were able to have a captain come pick us up right from the dock one of the days and really enjoyed the view from the upper deck with some cold drinks. Would highly recommend!

Unbelievable view

Amazing home! Very clean, spacious and you cannot find a better view AND spot on the lake. You walk out of the door and your feet are basically in the water. Such a great place to wake up and relax! We will be back next summer!

Steep hill driveway to park near house. Like STEEP. Lots of stairs so littles or older folks this can be tricky. The property is cute and nostalgic but the house needs deep cleaned. The white carpet in the stairs is stained so much with spills and dirt. The vents up by the loft appear to have black mold spores. The Lower deck with table was so dirty we went through a whole roll of paper towels to sit and have our coffee and play games at the table. (But it is a lake house)The back door to a small rear stoop was so dirty for no reason. Have the cleaners do better for that price. The showers and bathrooms are very dated. It felt like I was going to a cabin that hasn’t seen life for a few months. However! The house is still very cute. The upper deck is awesome to sit and enjoy the view of the boats. Lots of space if you have teenagers The waves are crazy! This isn’t a spot where I would bring my family to swim or play in the water. We tied our boat up the the dock over night and almost couldn’t secure it due to the waves. It was WILD. (This was October) The neighbors with the barn are very sweet and accommodating to our trailer b/c there was no where on property to park it over night.

Boaters Beware

When we rented this property the ad included a slip and a lift. Less than 48 hours prior to our check-in the host contacted us and informed us that we were no longer allowed to use the slip/lift. They then suggested that we tie up to the side of the dock instead as they had installed protective coverings on the dock. This property is on the main channel near the 10 mile marker so the waters get very rough at times due to passing boats. We only had our boat tied to the dock for roughly an hour and we had damage (estimated $800 to fix) so we had to pull our boat from the water. The protective covers on the dock were missing in areas and the bumpers were cracked and caved in. We ended up having to rent a slip elsewhere which defeated the purpose of renting this property entirely.

Great spot on the lake, The house gave many options for places to enjoy the stay. The host was very attentive for any questions we had. Highly recommend!
