Welcome to Kit’s Retreat, our most luxurious Sunken Escapes stay. Sleep under the stars in this stunning glass dome with a queen bed, pull-out couch, soaker tub, fireplace, wine fridge, outdoor shower, BBQ, and total privacy in nature. Perfect for romantic getaways or stylish solo escapes. Kit’s Retreat is a one-of-a-kind luxury dome nestled in the woods at Sunken Escapes. With sweeping glass walls and a vaulted ceiling, it offers an unforgettable experience of sleeping under the stars without sacrificing comfort. Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed, a pull-out couch, a full bath with a soaker tub, a cozy fireplace, a stovetop, and even a wine fridge. Step outside to your private outdoor shower, BBQ, and lounge area surrounded by nature. You’ll have full private access to your dome, deck, and outdoor amenities. On-site, all guests are welcome to use the shared shoreline fire pits, washer toss, and the wood-fired barrel sauna. We also offer free kayak access, and bike rentals are available for an extra charge. Wagons are available in the parking lot to help transport your belongings to your dome. Check-in is contactless, but we’re local and happy to help. Message us anytime if you need recommendations or assistance—we love helping guests find the best wineries, hikes, or hidden gems nearby. You may not see us, but we’re always just a message away. Kit’s Retreat is tucked deep in nature—expect peaceful sounds, occasional wildlife, and total relaxation. Please bring reusable water bottles and minimize waste when possible. At night, we ask guests to keep lights dim to preserve the dark sky experience. The sauna is shared and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t forget to check the Nova Scotia burn safe website before lighting any fires.

The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom and a dining area. The vacation home also includes a fireplace.
