I left my teeth retainer (orthodontics equipment) in the room and recounted the exact location of where I had left it, but when I called the hotel to find out the night I checked out, they said nothing was found and was rather dismissive of my request for help. I am almost certain that the cleaner threw it away, mistaking it for trash, but the hotel did not seem to have interviewed the cleaner nor helped to looked through the trash bin, which I understand is a difficult task, but for me still worth the effort, due to the expensiveness of my retainer.
