Best Western Tyrolean Lodge

Recent guest reviews

Located right next to the bus stop to the slopes. In fact, less then a half mile to the River Run Resort. Room was clean and free HOT breakfast choices every morning.

Location was perfect for quick access to skiing, trails, shopping and dining. Staff was very friendly and room was very comfortable.

Has a bit of an old school ski lodge feel with updated rooms. Decent hotel for the money but the walls are pretty thin so the rooms are a bit noisy in the mornings.

This hotel is overpriced for the value. The room is OK-the staff usually has cookies-but they were all gone by 6:00pm when we checked in and none were made for late arrivals-the hot tub was nice. The building is old and in need of repair.

Reserved online, arrived 20 minutes later and had to wait 5 minutes for FAX to arrive at front desk. Staff is nice and room clean. Aged building had loose creaking sagging stairways and sloping floors. Sign pointing to location on side street is only visable northbound on hwy. Parking lot is dark. Breakfast is above average. Close to one of the lifts.

Old hotel, but clean and inexpensive for the area. Close to Sun Valley Resort. Staff very helpful for needs and information, not afraid to recommend interesting places to visit and directions.

Quick check in, tight parking lot, inability to quickly check out (10+ mins) nor provide checkout receipt. Tissue thin walls made neighbor's squeaky bed an annoying experience for 30 mins.

Very nice hotel with a definite Tyrolean feel. Beautiful views and great breakfast

I checked in and the hotel staff was awesome! so friendly. I got in my room, and I realized that as a hotel owner you can charge very high amounts for a very sub-par room, I guess if you own a hotel in Ketchum/Sunvalley just the fact that you have a hotel in these cities entitles you to charge extremely high amount's for rooms that are NOT EVEN worth it. I have stayed in many hotel's in this city and they all were priced high because you pay for luxury and you expect luxury in this city and I was always happy to pay for it but this hotel was NOT luxurious nor worth even close to what I paid! we quickly put our bags in the room then went out to walk around town and watch a movie. when we returned (remember it was just me and two little boys) in the restroom I realized that there was a hand towel folded with the other hanging towels that had a large orange color spot on it, I assumed it was makeup and was stained, but when I touched it it was wet. I do not wear base nor do my children and we were only in the room for a few minutes before we left. the only conclusion is that the maid did not clean the room, and there was a used wet makeup towel in my room. I instantly wondered what else was not cleaned. The staff was great with my problem and offered me a few options, but I have to say the cleaning staff needs to be trained better and the hotel owner needs to invest in it's own hotel or reduce the prices to reflect what you are actually getting when booking at this hotel

close to River Run Lifts and reasonable walk to town. Rooms comfortable and good. Hallways tired and narrow. Spa outside and weird that you need a key key to access and exit. Parking good. Breakfast filling and fresh.

Nice room with a beautiful view of the mountain. The bathroom was a little small but still nice.

Stayed for 4 nights over New Years 2015. Was perfect for us. We could get completely ready to ski in our room, catch the free local bus in front of the hotel and be skiing in no time. Staff were very courteous. We would definitely stay again.

Rooms are a little snug for 2 or more staying in double queen room. But location, staff, and amenities make up for room size. Comfy beds. Watched paragliders and gondola from hotel parking lot. Very close to restaurants and shopping.

We were looking for a good value hotel in Sun Valley while mountain biking over the weekend. The Best Western fit the bill. Affordable, great location (5-10 min walk into town), very friendly staff and a decent breakfast included. Rooms are basic and interior is a little dated but everything was clean.

This hotel is in the quietest corner of Ketchum, the quietest town west of the Mississippi. My wife and I were looking for a relaxing place to go on our honeymoon, and this hotel was comfortable and definitely a great place to relax. It is within easy walking distance of the entire town of Ketchum (which is only about five blocks by five blocks). The continental breakfast had a good selection and there are plenty of great food choices nearby. The only downside was that our room didn't have a fridge or microwave, but I believe some of the other rooms do have such amenities.

a very nice place to stay! beautiful view and away from downtown!

Great location, room, it was clean and each room had an awesome view. The breakfast was great and fresh, work out room was awesome and the location was fabulous!

Very comfortable! Played games each night in the beautiful lobby great room, with roaring fire! Hot drinks of your choice always availble. Breakfast was great! Kids loved it! Staff was excellent! Super helpful! I will stay here again!

we stopped there on the way to Missoula. Convenient to down town. Nice view of the mountain. Clean.

The hotel staff is wonderful. We were able to check in early and they were so helpful with directions. The beds are very comfortable and as far as continental breakfasts go, they have a lot to offer. The view of Sun Valley Ski area from the Best Western parking lot is amazing. Close to everything in town.

I do apologize that your visit was not all it should have been; we wish it could have been better stay. While it is difficult to respond to the economics of how we price hotel, we are competitively priced against similar hotels. I do apologize that your room was not clean; especially the bathroom linens. This is unacceptable and should not happen. Have a nice day.

Thank you for your response. Regarding the pool area access, this is for safety reasons and also state and local ordinances require it.
