Great location;could'nt be better.2min walk to slopes. 2nd visit to these appartments however,on this occasion appartment 204 was lacking. Remember its approx €400 per night so you expect a high standard. The apartment looks nice but attention to detail is lacking. I am trying to be fair so i will list a few things and be objective. The appartment is too hot;that is very subjective however when trying to cool the place you have no control over the heating. So you open the window and balcony door. The balcony door handle comes off in my hand and the window mechanism is broken as is the bug screen. Now that indicates heavy use which probably means we are not the only occupants that find it hot. Next;the toilet flush malfunctions. This was reported and supposedly fixed.Later in the week the flush malfuctioned again and flooded the bathroom and kitchen. Door keys keep malfunctioning and you are expected to drive to the managing agent to get them recoded. Family table was so loose it could not be used.We had to use the breakfast bar and unfortunately smashed a bowl.To our surprise this shattered into a thousand shards of very sharp glasswear. Now to the reader this may seem very minor points however,at €400 a night i expect better. Money needs to be invested to bring it up to a good standard.Better kitchen wear is required and more of it as you are always using the ancient dishwasher to clean everything. upon reporting the faults the excellent building supervisor Jim attended very quickly attended to what he could however,as stated before investment and better checks to be carried out. Please note that you have to stay 10nights to qualify for clean towels and a housekeeping clean. I have been with Great Western lodgings since 2008 and i will now go elsewhere simply because of their lack of interest in my reporting .stating that we were the first to complain.I lost my patience when the kitchen roll holder broke when i simply lifted it and it landed on my big toe.I can laugh now but it nearly broke my toe and caused discomfort for the rest of the skiing holiday.
Staying in 309.Great flat and well appointed. Been to Breckenridge twice before and this is the best yet.Location location location.Minutes from the centre of town.Friendly building supervisor who always checks that we have everything. The valet ski service is great and the free parking is terrific.Very modern apartment .My only observation is why would you have a bed headboard that is very ornate but lethal to you if you hit your head against it and you can easily stab your fingers on it.Perhaps I am just clumsy.Anyway taking nothing away from the place it's brilliant and we are staying for 12 nights
Any time we go to Breckenridge, CO we always stay at the Park Avenue Lofts. They are very nice & within walking distance to pretty much everything! We recommend the Park Avenue Lofts to all of our friends!
We loved this little condo. The condo was comfortable. I really liked having a washer and dryer in the unit. We had a great view of the mountains, and were only a few blocks away from Main Street. We rarely used our car while we were here. The only complaint I have is that you do not have control over the temperature in the condo. It was SO hot. We left the windows open at night to cool it off some, but then you could hear the rowdy people in the middle of night. I also wish there was a fan in the unit to pull in the cool air from the open window.
Stayed here in March for our annual snowboarding holiday. Been to Breck before, so knew where we wanted to be located, and this is just perfect for the slopes & the town. We rented unit 307 from Great Western Lodging - a 2 bed unit with private hot-tub. The size was perfect for 4, and was equipped with everything we needed, from full cooker, dishwasher, american style fridge and microwave in the kitchen, to tvs and humidifiers in the bedroom and fast, free wi-fi. Had a great time, and if we come back to Breck in the next couple of years I won't hesitate to stay here again. And Base Sports, located downstairs are so helpful - they store your equipment for free, and the snowboard servicing they offer is really good value.
We have stayed in unit 207 a few times now. It's ultra close to peak 9/Maggie base. Just across the street. It's also walking distance to the south end of Main Street. The complex is very well maintained and has underground parking with ski lockers. The unit is clean and well stocked with pots and pans, has a full size fridge and a clean bathroom with dual sinks. We usually stop by Safeway in Frisco on the way in and load up on groceries for the stay.
My friend and I reserved this condo (204) because we've been to Breck many times, and know what a good location vs a bad one is in this town. This is as close to a perfect location as you can get without being ski in/out. The Pros: it's a 1/2 block walk across the street to the Quicksilver chair at Peak 9. It's right in town and within walking distance to almost any shop or restaraunt, except the local grocery store, which is a 5 minute drive. The condo is a nice building with secure underground heated garage, valet carts to bring luggage up, and the building is well kept. The unit itself is clean and well maintained. The Cons: this 1 br condo is s-m-a-l-l. 602 sq ft to be exact. The TVs are almost all the way up at the ceiling and you need to crank your neck waaaaay up to view them. The beds. The mattress in the bedroom is like a slab of concrete, the mattress on the sleeper sofa, is, well, exactly what you'd expect from a sleeper sofa. Neither one of us cared about having the bedroom because the bed wasn't any better then the sleeper sofa. The pressure in the shower sucked also. Would all these "cons" keep me from a repeat visit? No. All in all, it's location and convenience is enough to make up for its deficiencies.
Great Location. Walked across the street through the Maggie Base Area and your at the lifts. Same walk on the way home. 1 block from the south end of main street. Great views of peak 9 or the pond the Dredge sits on. The top floor rooms with the private hot tubs are super nice. One thing you must watch out for not only here but almost all properties in Breckenridge. Most of them are managed by different property managers. Selecting the right property manager will always get you one of the nicer rooms.
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment for the Breckinridge Beer Festival weekend. It has a comfortable lounge and a nice kitchen. Coudln't ask for a better location! But what's with the circa 1990 TV? Also, the beds are hard as rock and rattle so very difficult night sleep. The hot tub caused us trouble as the functions wouldn't work as they should and we had to switch it off and back on at the breaker to get the jets to run. Overall, nice enough but for the money it needs to be upgraded.
We stayed in a two bedroom lofted unit. The building is well located in town-no need for a car when you get to Breck. The unit we stayed in had two queen beds, and a queen pull out sofa. It was clean, and well equiped. It has a large hot tub adjacent to the second floor bedroom-great view of town and the Blue River from the tub. Flat screen HD tv, free wifi, etc are included in this unit (307). The building is small, but very well m maintained. The building has complementary ski/snow board check-in on the first floor, next to the lobby./ No carrying skis or boards, except through the front door.. Check-in was a breeze-staff at Great Western were very helpful and pleasant. Would HIGHLY RECCOMEND this building/unit.
