The breakfast buffet is below minimum. The yogurt is served in 1/8 cup Portions as well as the fruit. The carpet in our room had a huge coffee stain near the night stand and the toilet has a crack that will result in a flood

I cancelled a reservation at a motel as The Loyalist offered a pool and other preferred amenities. I was disappointed to find out that the pool was closed for 2 of the 3 nights of my stay. Daily housekeeping was not offered and I had to request more towels if needed. Internet connection dropped several times. Also there was a Canada Day celebration that day and evening which took place directly in front of the establishment. Parking was an issue as non paying guests took up spots for people who were staying at the Inn. It was very noisy with people gathered around under my window which prevented us from having a proper sleep. AC was an issue as well. Had to call the maintenance worker to come to our room at 9:30 pm At the cost I paid for 3 nights ($$$$) I wasn’t even offered any compensation for the inconveniences. All was said was “ sorry to hear that”. This was my first visit to PEI and will be my last stay at the Loyalist. Very disappointed to say the least 😡

Overall the hotel was fine. Friendly staff and lobby and outside areas very well kept and clean. The guest room was very outdated though, and needs to be refreshed with newer furniture.

We would stay again

Positives: Our room was lovely! Very very clean! The washroom also was spotless. We all swam and enjoyed the pool and sauna. There were loads of clean towels. We loved the old furniture and pictures it’s what brought us here. Sure things could be updated throughout. But the older feeling was actually quite nice and what we were looking for. The bedding was perfect and white and very clean. The beds were comfy. The tv was great. Fridge and microwave worked well and the ac was great and we were happy you could open the window. Breakfast: The breakfast was beautiful. Much better than most I’ve been to. Lots of hot foods and cold foods. Also everything was delicious! A great combination. We were really impressed with it. Negatives: It was hard to locate our room. The layout is weird and there is no signage around to help. The outside needs clean up and updating. The view across the street isn’t great. Better signage in the hotel in general is needed for sure. Also Info in the room would be helpful, like about the hotel, or restaurants around or info on breakfast. Or wifi log in. The lamps are awful. lol the shades are all damaged and just awful. But they work. Haha it was pretty funny actually how bad they were. We had a good laugh at how absolutely ridiculous they were. The jacuzzi tub didn’t work. We would stay again.

Our room was large and comfortable, the house coats were an added bonus. The breakfast was good but could have been warmer and the room they held breakfast in could have been a bit larger. Overall would stay there again.
