We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds and our spacious villa. Lovely ponds and lots of well kept flowers and trees. Nice poolarea with bar. Approx. 10 minutes by bike from the temples and lots of stores and restaurant, we had diner at a nice restaurant just across the road. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice but a little too much adjusted to Western style, to our taste. Suggestion for improvement: the shower in our room was pretty impossible, water didn't drain and the shower itself sprayed in all directions except down. Would absolutely recommend this place however!
We stayed there for one night. Nice place and garden, but the pool surrounding should be maintained. The terrace is in bad shape and dangerous. the pool was ok, the rooms too. Not many people at the hotel for this time of the year. We had dinner outside. pay attention to mosquitos, the food was OK
We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. The hotel grounds and location are lovely, and very relaxing with the sounds of birds and frogs. The room, while a little faded, had all the basics although the shower temperature was a little variable. Breakfast was nice, and the pool side bar, once we'd asked for it to be opened, provided a very relaxing evening. Our group all had massages, and the quality of these was a little variable. I'd suggest not booking group massages at the same time, to improve your chance of an experienced masseuse
Beautiful gardens in Nice location although quite a way away from the airport. Good breakfast selection including western food options. Not too far from restaurants and bars and shops with tuk tuk transport for 50 baht. Very happy to recommend & would happily return. A perfect definition of a resort.
Not a luxury property, but rooms are clean and cool (good A/C). Grounds are quite beautiful, and there is a nice pool. Location is good if you are inclined to walk to Sukhothai ruins (about 1.5 km?). Alternatively a short tuk tuk ride away. Appears to get a lot of big tours, and it was a different group every morning at breakfast (Chinese one morning, the next morning French, then German). Buffet breakfast with both Asian and western offerings; you should be able to find something you’d like to eat. Given price and location, this hotel is a very good value.
We definitely choose this resort, because it is so close to the Sukhothai Historical Park which is great. The stay at the resort itself was relaxing and we enjoyed massage services that are offered. There were no distracting noises at all and I had a great night sleep.
Sukhothai is one of my favorite towns to visit in Thailand, as it is so much more relaxed than Ayutthaya or Bangkok for temple-spotting. I had 2 lovely nights at Le Charme, which while not the perfect location (had about a 20 minute walk to the main sites), was plenty relaxing and pretty. The grounds are on a lovely lake/river/water thing, and the pool is lovely. Breakfast gave me exactly what I needed. Options in Sukhothai can be somewhat limited, but i'd definitely recommend it.
Hotel Le Charme has a good location within the bounds of Old Sukhothai. The reception area is poor and messy. It looks more that you have entered a cheap airBnB then a charming hotel. We booked a family suite for 3 nights and paid incl breakfast almost € 600,-- , so not cheap at all. The room was big, yes very horrible decorated, Tv not working even not after telling the reception. The airco was in the room , so VERY noisy. All the bikes were out of order and the breakfast is a DISASTER !!! After a big group left the breakfast... there was barely NOTHING left and staff not bordered to get new food... Horrible
This is a unique place with rooms built around ponds. Our room was ok, nothing special, but the bathroom was filthy. The floor was covered in hair and sink was filthy. Called housekeeping for them to clean. One lady showed up with a broom, spent about 30 seconds to sweep the floor and left. Wifi was down most of the day. Decent breakfast buffet. We only stayed one night... else I would not have been happy with the room we had.
Seems to be new place; rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable to have a great resting time and so in contact with nature. Nice restaurant, good prices and good breakfast. Pool is small but good enough!
