We definitely choose this resort, because it is so close to the Sukhothai Historical Park which is great. The stay at the resort itself was relaxing and we enjoyed massage services that are offered. There were no distracting noises at all and I had a great night sleep.
Sukhothai is one of my favorite towns to visit in Thailand, as it is so much more relaxed than Ayutthaya or Bangkok for temple-spotting. I had 2 lovely nights at Le Charme, which while not the perfect location (had about a 20 minute walk to the main sites), was plenty relaxing and pretty. The grounds are on a lovely lake/river/water thing, and the pool is lovely. Breakfast gave me exactly what I needed. Options in Sukhothai can be somewhat limited, but i'd definitely recommend it.
Hotel Le Charme has a good location within the bounds of Old Sukhothai. The reception area is poor and messy. It looks more that you have entered a cheap airBnB then a charming hotel. We booked a family suite for 3 nights and paid incl breakfast almost € 600,-- , so not cheap at all. The room was big, yes very horrible decorated, Tv not working even not after telling the reception. The airco was in the room , so VERY noisy. All the bikes were out of order and the breakfast is a DISASTER !!! After a big group left the breakfast... there was barely NOTHING left and staff not bordered to get new food... Horrible
This is a unique place with rooms built around ponds. Our room was ok, nothing special, but the bathroom was filthy. The floor was covered in hair and sink was filthy. Called housekeeping for them to clean. One lady showed up with a broom, spent about 30 seconds to sweep the floor and left. Wifi was down most of the day. Decent breakfast buffet. We only stayed one night... else I would not have been happy with the room we had.
Seems to be new place; rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable to have a great resting time and so in contact with nature. Nice restaurant, good prices and good breakfast. Pool is small but good enough!
What a beautiful oasis to stay at. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Grounds are spectacular. Swimming pool was great after being on a cycling tour this morning. Lovely meal last night at the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent. Only complaint is that the WiFi is not working in my room.
With our family of 5 we stayed here for two nights as part of our tour of Thailand. Resort is clean, as is the swimming pool. Wood work near the pool needs some maintenance so you should take care not to hurt your feet when walking on the wooden planks. Plenty of towels and beds. Our cottages in the 200 series were average. As in many resorts, there are low pressure hot water appliances. Low pressure is really low pressure so a normal hot shower is not really possible. WiFi was good compared to other places we stayed. All cottages are surrounded by water. Very exotic view and feel. However also plenty of mosquitos so don’t forget to apply DEET generously, especially after sunset. A mosquito net should also be standard gear in these cottages. Breakfast can be ordered via a complex way of paying for a breakfast ticket where signatures and stamps are applied by the reception then come back to the restaurant and hand it over. Breakfast is good, but unsurprisingly it deteriorates quickly in the hot Thai summer. So get an early breakfast. Fried eggs can be ordered outside the breakfast room. Staff hardly understands English but this is not uncommon in these type of resorts. It’s not a huge problem. I would recommend the place.
This was my highlight of the accommodation I had while in Thailand. The most beautiful grounds, clean rooms and a very well working air-conditioner! Stayed here two nights, could have stayed much longer. Dinner was nice at the hotel.
We stayed two nights - so we had two half days and one whole day to visit the park that is 1km away. It is a photographer's dream. Take time to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. It is really quite beautiful. We rented a scooter for a few days to go back and forth. We came back to the hotel during the heat of the day to cool off in the pool and avoid crowds at the park. The hotel setting is beautiful. Rooms spacious, great wifi and air condtioning. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the garden. Great hotel!
Lovely and charming hotel on the water. Good breakfast, not very clean rooms but very nice. Worth merely for the wonderful setting. I hope you are not afraid of geckos, since there were really a lot of them!
