Basic hotel

Basic hotel convenient for an evening arrival on the ferry for those who don't want to drive far on the first night. Hotel overlooks open countryside to the town beyond. Rooms could do with better soundproofing, ours was just above open reception area and quite noisy and we could hear water pumping around all the time.

Good hotel off the tourist trail

Stayed one night at the Albatross. The hotel appears to be targeting Spanish families rather than international tourists, and it did that very well. Room was compact and basic, but had all that was needed for one night, and the cost was very reasonable. No aircon so could be a bit hot in summer, although it was OK for our stay. Good on-site restaurant, and excellent breakfast available. Large, free car park on the site was a bonus. Suances is a great beach-side resort and well worth a visit.

A weeks holiday in Green Spain

Spent a week here in June 2016. Good points:- great location, 10 minute walk out of town conveniently away from the hustle, bustle and noise, free parking, good breakfasts (tortilla, cheese, ham,toast, fruit, endless coffee and tea) in a pleasant dining room with friendly accommodating staff, effective black out blinds on the bedroom windows and excellent shower in the bathroom. Superb views & a very pleasant hotel pool and terrace. Not so good: - this looks like an old building which has been converted into a hotel the result being that insulation between rooms is not so effective; so be warned there is a bit of neighbour noise. Apart from that no other negatives. We had an early flight back and the staff made sure the coffee machine was on at 6am and had we had time breakfast was available.

A lovely hotel in a quiet location

The hotel was lovely. The room was spacious by European standards. Breakfast buffet was very good and included ham, cheese, a variety of breads and pastries, cereal and fresh fruit. Reception was always helpful, the room was clean and quiet. There was a spacious lobby and a bar for relaxing in addition to the pool area and the patio outside. The only downside of this hotel for some people might be that it is on a hill overlooking the town and is a short 10 minute walk downhill to the beach. It didn't bother us but if someone is impaired it could be a problem. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely Hotel and Memorable Stay

We stayed for one night, but we do wish we had booked for longer, it was in a lovely place, with beautiful beaches (about a 10 minute walk). The staff were very friendly and obliging and the rooms were comfortable. We had booked half board and had no complaints about the food. We would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly place, close to beaches

East to find, with very convenient parking, and lift to reception. Nice friendly reception staff. In fact all the staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was generous and really good, both nights. It's just a five-minute drive from a great beach, and only 15 from the Altamira caves. Plus there are probably a dozen good sandy beaches within 30 minutes. It isn't luxurious, but the rates were very good and the staff couldn't have been more helpful

Staff make up for a lot

Used this as a stopover from the ferry so not sure what to expect. Staff lovely, ate in the hotel and had a very good value meal at 13 euro per person. Rooms were a bit tired and the wifi a bit intermittent but certainly pleased we stopped here.

Great Location, Excellent Price

This is not a luxury hotel. So if youre looking for all the comforts of home, this may not be the right place. There is no wifi or A/C in the rooms however the staff is amazingly helpful and provided a fan for the room and there is free wifi in the lobby. The hotel in general is in good condition for the price. The swimming pool is nice and its a 3 block walk to the nearest beach (down hill).

Mal, lo reservamos por el Spa, cosa que ponía en la web que estaba disponible, cuando llegamos nos dicen que estaba en obras y que deberíamos haberlo sabido, pero ellos debían avisarlo en la web, aparte las recepcionistas no nos dieron buen trato, la única simpática la de la cafetería, en fin, un sitio para no volver.

Mehr Schein als Sein: Zimmer mit Verletzungsgefahr

Zu Anfang waren wir begeistert. Das Zimmer sah richtig schön aus. Wie ein Wohlfühlzimmer. Dann das Bett von meinem Mann: Es wackelte so stark, das man sich nicht setzen konnte. Wir gaben an der Rezeption Rückmeldung. Während wir die Gegend erkundeten wurde es behoben. Dusche: Vorsicht Gefahr vor Verbrühung. Erst warm, dann plötzlich sehr heiß um dann kalt zu werden. Wir mussten dann auf duschen verzichten. Toilette: war leicht lose. Man musste sich sehr vorsichtig setzen. Das Fenster schloss nicht richtig und wenn man es öffnete hing es verzogen herunter. Die Zimmer Tür liess sich auch nur mit großem Kraftaufwand schliessen. Während der Nacht, krachte auf einmal mein Bett im Schlaf zusammen. Ein Fuss hatte sich gelöst und ich fiel zu Boden. Bei näherer Betrachtung stellten wir fest, dass dieses Bettbein mehrfach geschweisst war. Die restliche Nacht musste ich mit Rippenprellung auf dem Boden schlafen. Dieses Zimmer war eine wahre Bruchbude. Wir suchten vergeblich die Kamaras, denn so etwas hätte gut und gern eine "Verstehen Sie Spass?" Sendung sein können...

Bastante bien

En general el hotel está bien. Lo que más me gustó, el servicio amable, la terraza con vistas donde se puede comer/desayunar, la piscina, el parking gratuito, la localiza cerca del pueblo Lo que menos, la TV (muy pequeña) y el precio.
