This is our third visit in a year and we love it. The staff is very friendly and its brand new and very clean. We love the complimentary breakfast and it’s so close to everything. We can’t wait to go back.

Worst Hotel Experience of my life

Spent the day skiing and looking forward to a nice warm shower and place to stay at the end of the night with my significant other. Had my room booked well in advance. Upon arrival to my already disappointment the parking lot was atrocious. It is like a makeshift lot that used to be someone’s yard but that was the least of my worries for the night. I checked in like normal and was given our room keys. We hauled all of our luggage on a bellhop cart to our room. The keys didn’t work. Went back down to get the keys set up. They did not work again. Another trip back downstairs and the worker came up with us and confirmed the keys weren’t working. After waiting 10 minutes in front of a room we thought was ours it turns out someone was already in there. My girlfriend had to see a stranger in the doorway in nothing but his boxers. We now haul all of our stuff back downstairs yet again. The woman working there then spent the next hour trying to figure out what was going on. For one full hour we sat in the lobby in our soaking wet clothes with no solutions. We find out they put someone else in the wrong room. They could not figure out which room was available still. EVERYTHING WAS WRITTEN ON PAPER. This should be as simple as checking a computer to see what room is not taken. The food we bought was ice cold at this point and we were left shivering in the lobby until midnight. ZERO COMPENSATION was given for the inconvenience. If the hotel wasn’t clean I’d give this 0 stars

Average room that could be more updated and facility and lounge area could be cleaner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lobby was ice cold and felt like the heat wasn’t even on the first floor.

We had never been in this area, but I must say staying at the penn Stroud was great! It was clean, friendly , updated, the breakfast was great, and the staff extremely helpful! Vanessa in the breakfast area was super sweet and kind. She always made sure my needs were met. Kept the breakfast area, super clean and neat. It’s a place you feel very safe in every aspect I left my coat at the hotel and they were so kind to call me, and let me know the options for me getting my coat back I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone and would really like to thank Penn Strous for the wonderful three days spent at their hotel! PS. the beds were very comfortable which is very important for us!

Great hotel to stay at while in town. Parking was a breeze and there are plenty of shopping and dining options around. The room was sufficient for our needs, as was the free breakfast. Staff always had a smile on their face and were very accommodating. Would recommend!

Service was good but basic amenities like water fountain isn’t working but a vending machine is there. I get it y’all trying to make money but it is a little tacky and inhuman to not even serve your guests water and to keep a non functional water fountain.

I think this might be a 4 star property however our room was so cold due to construction below our floor that we’re had to ask for another room. And then in the morning there was no hot water due to some pipes freezing. Not the best stay. All the water from the burst pipes was running onto the sidewalk and immediately freezing so it was dangerous on the street side Will try again because the staff was so friendly and helpful and the location is great. .
