Quality few days with my daughter. Wonderful location. We could easily have stayed longer! Enjoyed the spa avdelning. Pity some people can't read when it says 'over 18 only' on the door to the VIP spa

Wasn't pleased with the overall stay - This was my daughters birthday present- mother /daughter spa trip. There were children everywhere. - They shouldn't be in the spa area. The dinner really but a downer on the trip. Horrible service - far to expensive for what we received.

The hotel is situated in a little bay with a cluster of holiday flats and houses a bit out of Stromstad. The interior is nice, but the rooms varied a lot in size and amenities. I was there for a seminar with seven colleagues. Some of us got large suites with a separate bedroom and a kitchen/lounge area and a balcony, whilst others got tiny rooms with just the bare minimum, but still adequate. Not sure if I think it is smart of the hotel to give such varied standards of rooms to people from the same group booking. The hotel was by no means full when we were there at the end of June. The conference facilities were nice, as was the snack/coffee/tea buffet. The lunch buffet was also good, especially the sea food part, but the dessert buffet was a let-down. Dinner was also no more than average. The hotel bar had a bartender who seemed incompetent and rude, which was not a particularly charming combination, but otherwise the staff was smiley and helpful all around.

We arrived here for a weekend stay to celebrate a birthday. Hotel itself is modern and as you would expect. The room we stayed in was of a very good size with a nice balcony overlooking the small canals, kitchen and bathroom we small but clean. The restaurant was fine. Nothing special and as we had to send the meat back as rare became well done we were not overly impressed. The meat itself was excellent. The food that came to us was very good. Service was efficient, not friendly and felt there wasnt much of an atmosphere in the place. Breakfast was as you would expect a large buffet type hotel breakfast to be. Everything was there but nothing special to stand out. The whole idea of the weekend trip was the spa. What a disappointment that turned out to be. The massage service was good, but the actual spa wasn´t. I like to go to a spa to chill out and relax. The place was far too noisy for that. There is no real relaxing area of note. The outside bubble pool is always poor. It is mentioned to people on arriving that when it doesnt bubble then you have to get out so it can auto clean. The majority of guests there either didnt get told or didnt understand, and there is no staff checking so use the bubble pool at your own risk! Overall we were not impressed with the place. Spa is massively overpriced for what it is. If going back we will stay in smaller boutique hotels along the coast.

To me, Strømstad Spa is more a machine than a nice hotel experience you´ll remember for years. But bear in mind that I wasn´t there for the spa. It might be a treat for what ever I know. The rooms are many. And dull. And really, really boring. The bathroom had very visible wounds of tear and wear, and the room in general reminded me more of a hospital. The restaurant is big, and definitely not a personal experience. I mean, the lobby, the restaurant, the room, it feels like it´s just made for getting as meny people as possible through a stay and charge them for the "spa" experience.

Nice place to stay to visit the koster islands. Beautiful and modern hotel located on the small harbour, the room are nice. The spa area is very pleasant and opens till 21.00. The restaurant was also good. Great place to stay!

The rooms are nice (but a bit small), nice bathroom, lovely view from the rooms facing the sea. The breakfast was average, fruit was great. The spa itself is also quite average, nice and relaxing but quite small. Could go again!

fantastic location of a spa hotel in Sweden highly recommended hotel, as we just walked in without reservation and they found the perfect room solution only negative is that I had 2 young children with me and elderly people in the pool area do not appreciate that children make noise

We went there with our 9 month baby. We got our room upgraded without cost to be able to fit the baby bed. Having a baby/child limits the time in the spa/pool area, but that's ok. The personnel were very helpful to make our stay as pleasent as possible. We were offered to borrow a bubblebathtub in a spa room as an alternative to the pool area in the afternoon :) The hotel is located a few km out of the city centre in a tiny, cute village that almost seemed to have been built at the same time as the hotel. Close to nature if one would ever want to leave for a while.

Spend two days at the hotel in connection with a business meeting. Rooms are ok, meeting room was great. Nice lunch and great breakfast but not so good dinner as it was a bit cold and small portions. But overall a nice experience.
