Stayed for 3 nights with my sister as part of a New England tour. The setting of the hotel was perfect for us. We walked the nearby trails and enjoyed the pretty town of Stowe nearby. We were able to use the facilities on site, (pools etc). The room was very clean and comfortable, and staff very welcoming. Coffee and cookies provided mid-afternoon. Unfortunately the restaurant couldn't accommodate us on our first night as it was too busy. A good place to stay with lovely people looking after us.
Highly recommend a stay at Stoweflake. Was recently there for a 2 night stay for a conference. They did a great job at reception desk as well as food/buffets during the conference. Staff were helpful and polite. Rooms are older but well cared for, and housekeeping did a great job. I would definitely return there.
Great location in Stowe. We were able to take advantage of the trail and we walked to idlytyme for dinner which was delicious. There aren't full curtains in the room which was a downside! We were on the first floor overlooking parking lot and people could see right into our room
A lovely large bedroom and very comfortable with views over the gardens. Not so impressed with the restaurant and food. My meal was tough (pork) and almost cold but I was tired after a long day of travelling and could not be bothered to complain. Breakfast was honestly not that much better. Such a shame but that side of the hotel needs to be brought up to scratch.
When we checked in, the woman checking us in was genuinely interested in what our plans were and immediately recommended the Stowe recreational trail. We felt very special and very welcome. Next, we met Susi, the concierge, who is the most professional and well-informed concierge's I have ever met. Her enthusiasm was contagious. Her recommendations were spot on. We asked for a wet weekend worth of recommendations and she came through. Consequently, even though it rained for most of the weekend, we had a great time. I recommend the spa (especially Rachel) highly. My skin is still soft and moisturized from my spa treatment. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and outdoor hot tube. We thought the beds were too soft, but that may be a matter of personal taste. The hotel is ideally located. If you want to see Stowe, this is a great place to stay.
Very nice sty there for leaf peeping October 7-9, 2017. Restaurant and Bar very nice. My wife loved the spa. Only criticism is the shower in our room. Floor of shower was not flat but rounded and there was no non-skid in the shower floor. Very dangerous. A lawsuit waiting to happen.
A large resort and the layout is a bit strange, but the rooms are very large and very nice. Restaurant is nice and the food was great, but the service was lacking. We were only there one night, so we did not have time to fully explore the entire resort. I would love to come back.
A very nice resort, but terribly expensive. Restaurant is not so good, grounds are great. We had a town house unit which was superb, clean, large, comfortable, though king size bed was too soft. All in all a nice place if you can afford it
We stayed at the Snowflake Mountain Resort on our Anniversary weekend, couldn't say enough about the Hotel and its location ! Just a beautiful area and close to EVERYTHING ! Rooms were super clean and nice...even a fireplace ! Although its was unseasonably warm to use on our weekend ! Overall we just loved every thing except the king size bed. Hard as a rock, left us almost crippled from the first night, Staff was amazingly helpful and put us in a new room for the remaining 2 nights stay. Although it wasn't much better they did put in a good effort for us. They let us try 3 additional rooms beds before changing our room, but there was very little improvement with bed quality. Its such a shame as we really loved it there. Ive read a lot of the reviews, not many complaints about the beds, not sure if its because we have a Tempurpedic mattresses or not but going from a high quality bed to the hotel beds were extremely un comfortable for us. Really think they need to upgrade the matresses or offer some sort of pillow top / topper to make the beds better.
We were delighted with our room at the Stoweflake Resort! Beautifully furnished and reasonably priced we were very impressed with the amenities offered by this inn. It even has its own 9 hole golf course!
