The Stoweflake inn is very old world nice, tea , coffee and cookies every afternoon at 3:30 PM. The in house breakfast is supper with custom made eggs, waffles or pancakes, and of course Green mountain coffee. Check out Felix Leiter USMC on Amazon and look for Felix Leiter CIA coming soon.
My wife and I visited Stowe for 3 nights. Florida people in the snow in Vermont. Stoweflake was incredible. We got a room with a fireplace, very roomy. The lobby was nice, with great cookies and coffee every afternoon. Many common areas with fireplaces. One of my favorite things is the Stoweflake is one of the stops for the area shuttle. Perfect for me, since I did not want to drive in the snow. It came every 15-20 minutes during the weekend. It ran from the downtown area all the way up to the ski resort. We did a spa day, which was very nice. The front desk was very helpful. We ate at the Charlie B pub the first night, which was good. There is a lot of restaurants in walking distances. An incredible wine and cheese shop with tastings across the street. Next time in Stowe, I will definitely stay at the Stoweflake Spa and Inn again.
We love Vermont and this was our 2nd time staying at Stoweflake. We rented a townhouse because we brought my sons friend (both 15) so we needed the space. Rooms were spacious and having 2 bathrooms was a plus. A little outdated but was still warm and cozy. Spa is beautiful. I would recommend this place. Picture of boys sleeping in the living room.
The townhouse was nice but the decor was very dated. House the resort never offered housekeeping but I believe it was available daily. Pet policy is odd too- The hotel is very dated as well.. everything needs to be updated. Staff wasnt that accommodating when i reached out
The Snowflake is a nice place to stay Stowe. We stayed in a premier room above the Spa. The resort is well kept and beautiful at night with the lights. The rooms are ample in size and the restrooms are also ample in size. The beds sleep well and the rooms are clean. The wet bar area is small. They could replace the armoire with a dresser and put a microwave in each room. That would be nice instead of having to pay $25 a day for a microwave. Every family doesn't want to go out for all meals. So a microwave should be added since there is a small fridge and a table in the room. The fireplaces in the hotel are very nice. The concierge Susie is a very nice lady. She is helpful and awesome. I couldn't wait to meet her when we got there.
We enjoyed our stay at The Stoweflake. The hotel has great accommodations and facilities. We loved the heated outdoor pool, heated indoor pool and hot tub! The game room was nice to hang out in and the cute corner lounge areas with fireplaces were great for our own game night. The room was in great condition. The bathroom was large with 2 sinks and the gas fireplace made us feel cozy. The spa was also lovely. The mineral tub, waterfall tub, hot tub, sauna and steam rooms were heavenly. The locker rooms were will stocked and clean. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We took advantage of the mountain road shuttle to take us up to Stowe mountain and it was so convenient picking us up right in front of the lobby. There was also free coffee in the morning and afternoon cookies and hot beverages in the lobby. I've stayed at 2 other hotels in Stowe and this was by far our favorite.
We stayed for a conference (husband). So I had downtime to enjoy property. There was a great snowshoe trail around the hotel. It was safe and long enough to get a good workout on a sunny winter day when going to the hotel gym seemed wrong. We enjoyed being within walking distance to shops/brewery/restaurants vs last year up on the mountain. We did one bedroom townhouse which is nice to have 2 TV areas and car right outside. Super private back area with views. Good price point, friendly staff.
Great place for a romantic getaway. We had a Premium Spa Room. Nice room. Huge space. Nice fireplace. Very clean. King bed was comfortable. The Hot Tub, Pool and Sauna in the spa area were awesome. The outdoor pool is heated and open all year (I believe they keep the pool covered if it gets into the single digits F). We had the outdoor hot tub almost to ourselves in the evening. Great way to finish off a day of skiing, go and have a hot tub. Check-in was fast and very friendly. Recommended.
Stayed at Stoweflake for 4 nights and generally very disappointed and under-whelmed by the whole stay. I have stayed at Stoweflake in the past where I've gone skiing, and was generally happy with the accommodation. Two years down the line and I have to say it's gone very much downhill in terms of no money being spent on the property whatsoever. The room itself is fairly dated, noticeably the bathrooms. The fans in the evening are very loud and had woken me up numerous times in the middle of the night. I'm sure some type of mould was growing on the carpet also! Furthermore, the pillows and duvets could do with a change, with many a time myself waking up with a stiff neck. The only real plus point was the in-room fire. The breakfast room is certainly dated. A feature which was quite off-putting would be the water-stained cutlery and crockery. The red tablecloths should either be abolished or covered over with a disposable table mat, just to cover up the stains. Apart from that, the breakfast was generally OK, although a side of summer berries one morning with an element of mould wasn't particularly enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend this place at all to anyone staying in Stowe, as I simply felt the stay was not worth the $260 room rate per night. Especially considering you're spending that much money, and no improvement works are being carried out around the hotel. There are simply too many better options in the area to choose from, as well as this many of them offer free shuttles to restaurants/ski slopes/bars so need not worry about location, which was the only real plus point with Stoweflake.
We were on our way to Stowe and there was traffic so we decided to turn around for breakfast. It was simple and the waiter was nice, it was clean, and food was ok. Would recommend for a quick breakfast trip. Note- we didn’t stay here- only stopped for breakfast!
